Lovely. The colour is exactly what I would choose. Great tutorial.

Yeah, not allowed to get anything done without their approval 😔

When interfacing a collar I always sew with the interfaced side up. That way the feed dogs will pull in the fabric especially with a wrinkly fabric like double gauze.

Beautiful! I’ve made 4 Donny shirts including a long sleeved version. You’ve inspired me to try it in double gauze!

I made one of these this summer in linen from a duvet and I loved it. I love the color of your double gauze. The Burrito Method is totally magic!

How wide is the shoulder seam 3/8 or 5/8?

@@kiwikiwi5505 I think I ended up sticking with 3/8 for this one, but generally I start with the pattern seam allowance then adjust after trying on based on fit.

Cute top. I didn't notice you making an adjustment to the length of the top, but yours seems longer than other Donny tops I've seen. Also your neckline looks higher. Did you make any changes there? I'm 5'2" and if like to be able to tuck my top in, so I'm curious about you're experience. Thanks

No I didn't change the length on this one, I think just the back adjustment. I'm 5'3" with most of my height in my torso so I think you should be able to tuck it in with the standard length.
I did raise the neckline but forgot to include that. You could just move the mark you sew to a bit higher but I recommend flattening the curve below that mark. If you look at the original pattern it's straight up until the mark where the collar starts then it curves out, I recommend extending how far it stays straight for so it doesn't bulge out when it is sewing closed. Not sure if that makes sense but if it doesn't let me know and I can reply on my computer instead of thumbing this on my phone.
