Sewing the March Dress by Helen's Closet
In this I sew the March Dress by Helen's Closet using Core Fabric Textured Viscose Linen in Rust and Merlot and a floral cotton I got from the craft box.
I've worn this quite a few times since I made it in spring and its very comfortable and works great in the summer heat. overall it was a pretty easy dress to make and I plan on make more in the future.

In order to satisfy my need for a good winter dress I made a modified @RoseryApparel Daisy Dress out of Stylemaker Fabric's Tartan Plaid Twill Weave Flannel Shirting Wine. This is very lovely! Do you think pleats would have worked as well, instead of the gathering? I am worried, that the gathering would add too much bulk to a wool-flanell (I am a short person, I don't want the dress to overwhelm me)

    Cute top. I didn't notice you making an adjustment to the length of the top, but yours seems longer than other Donny tops I've seen. Also your neckline looks higher. Did you make any changes there? I'm 5'2" and if like to be able to tuck my top in, so I'm curious about you're experience. Thanks

    • @2BumblingIdiots
      @2BumblingIdiots 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I didn't change the length on this one, I think just the back adjustment. I'm 5'3" with most of my height in my torso so I think you should be able to tuck it in with the standard length. I did raise the neckline but forgot to include that. You could just move the mark you sew to a bit higher but I recommend flattening the curve below that mark. If you look at the original pattern it's straight up until the mark where the collar starts then it curves out, I recommend extending how far it stays straight for so it doesn't bulge out when it is sewing closed. Not sure if that makes sense but if it doesn't let me know and I can reply on my computer instead of thumbing this on my phone.
