I've started making some swimwear and the best advice I've seen and used is to bast stitch before you overlock everything. Edgewater avenue have good TH-cam videos for most if not all their swimsuits/bikinis which are really helpful I found!
After your last video I spent quite a bit of time on the Rainbow Fabrics website and was lusting after that black leopard jacquard as well as a couple of other viscose fabrics. Unfortunately though it would have cost me over fifty pounds in postage (to Australia) even when I selected just a couple of meters. I'm still deciding on whether I still buy it and get it delivered to my parents in Essex for when I next see them (could be up to a year from now). I'm surprised you didn't get the cat on the moon viscose. I thought of you when I saw it :-)
Grey hair???? Where for heaven's sake? The fabric so much beautiful colour! The first pair of shorts you showed goes beautifully with the Donny shirt you're wearing. Your Santorini wardrobe is going to be fabulous! All I can advise is have a ball because I have never been to Santorini.
Love the Donny shirt made a wearable toile and have my next one cut and ready to sew. I am also thinking a bit ahead as I think it might be quite nice hacked into a long sleeve version made with ponte 😮 for the late summer / autumn 😊shorts are great, as are all your makes x

So many lovely plans! The Viki Sews dress in that fabric will be runway worthy! Santorini is gorgeous. I was only there on a day trip, but it was such a wonderful island. Everywhere you turn there is a great view, and I remember spending some time at a nice little market. Have a lovely weekend with the Northern Sewl Sisters! You ladies inspire me.

It's a Tencel Chambray - it's beautiful! Lovely and drapey but still quite stable x

With your shorts could you just lengthen the entrance where your hand enters the pocket.
Ahh that's a possibility, although I feel like the entrance is wide enough. It's the actual pocket bag itself where I need a bit more room x

Check the recommended stretch percentage in the pattern against your swimwear fabric as they can vary (speaking from experience)

That shirt was made for you. It looks fabulous. It s good they are size inclusive, but as a plus size 20 I would never wear a top that short.

The EdgewaterAvenue swimwear patterns are gorgeous but in my experience they come up very skimpy so err on the side of caution 😮
