- You guys suggested me to record interesting "behind the scenes" moments in the game using a Camera Mod !
Here are the results
-SBroly: Deforms his upper body like clay.
-UI Goku: The kamehameha is massive seen from other perspective.
-Roshi: Clones himself and T-poses to snare his opponent.
-Super Baby 2: Spawns a gigant monkey in another dimension and fires a beam.
-SS4 Gogeta: Both Goku and Vegeta in SS4 help him destroy the stage.

This it's one of the few things you need to learn in the animation process. "Why do i need to animate a WHOLE BODY... if they're gonna show just an arm?"
Also would be more work and more memory making a separate hand model
More like camera angles and camera proximity
The highest form of animation is how much cheating or how lazy you can be.
edit: people seem to be taking this as a bad thing; I meant this comment in the best way possible, finding creative shortcuts is absolutely a high tier skill for animators

@@javiermercado1996 yes you can. basically every modern game engine has the ability to render only surfaces attached to a specific bone. also most modeling software has the ability to remove all faces attached to specific bones too. it just comes down to who is animating it and how they prefer to do it. technically hiding the rest of the body does perform better but realistically the game is not something hard pressed for every slight optimization so inefficiencies are fine if it means saving a bit of dev time

I mean this game is full of transformations that served no purpose for a bit. GT Goku went SS4 before that Gogeta launched and even then that model is only used again for this full power super

Gogeta Intro. SSJ4 Goku exist in one of GT’s supers and in the intro yet they won’t add him either.
@@pastyIe well to be fair they have a trend going on, for every protagonist they have an antagonist, so in order to add both ssj4's they need 2 new villains to add, but i don't see them adding both, probably just vegeta 4 to balance out the goku to vegeta ratio that is currently 5:3 (6 if u count goku black)

i'm guessing they already had the SSJ4 Goku model from GT Goku['s level 3 but i chuckle thinking about how they probably had to make a whole SSJ4 Vegeta model just for that move LOL
They probably just made quick models for the level 3. It takes a lot to finish a full model for a fighting game. Also, they're not gonna add ssj4 lmao, they'd have to make a full moveset and frame data for another main character

From all the different camera angles I would love to see ups system works do a a cyberconnect2 style game don't get me wrong I love the 2.5 d d-style of find gaming is great it works for him it's absolutely amazing because it looks like anime but it's not anime because it's different format but it's so good but I would love to see what they can do if the game was well three-dimensional as in like a little arena where you can actually run around and fight

For everyone who wants SSJ4 Vegeta in the game, ask these questions:
1. What can the devs pull from for the character's animation set? (As in, wtf did the character do IN that form)
2. How would they be balanced? (As in what attack would be what starter, or what could they convert off of?)

that's exactly the thing is that.. ss4 vegeta has pretty much nothing distinct to pull from, in gt he basically was just there in order to make ssj4 gogeta a thing
