@@blueshot333 There's not really much the dubbing team can do. If there are only enough slots for Imperfect Cell's voice, there are only enough slots for Imperfect Cell's voice. They'd have to get the original programmers to make it so Perfect and Semi-Perfect cell have different voice slots from Imperfect.

Also remember when Cell goes perfect in the dub version of the anime, before he makes the announcement of the tournament he tells the citizens of earth that you may remember me and speaks in the imperfect voice in his perfect form. Which I think might be an Easter egg too if I’m not mistaken.

@@joseakanino The big reason why the games don't have separate assets to accommodate the different voices for Cell is because the games aren't made with the English voices in mind. Unlike the English dubs (where Cell's voice changes based on form), in Japan, the VA uses the same voice and tone for all of Cell's forms (which means the idea of Cell's voice becoming less gravely as he transformed is unique to the US dubs). Since the JPN version only needs one set of vocal assets, the Japanese devs never bothered to code in voice changes for the characters' different forms and programmed the character the same way they did everyone else.

Yeah I realized that a while back also. It depended on the transformation and character. Base form and Ssj have a hard time breaking through super armor. Ssj2 can actually break through it slightly easier. Ssj3 and ssj4 break through it completely. If you get stuck fighting a character with super armor, you'll need a character who at least has the hitting power of a ssj2 for it to be somewhat of a fair match. The detail put into the tenkaichi games was phenomenal.
Going into Max Power also tends to grant that increased stun power to go through passive Super Armor. Of course, if HE powers up to Max, worse still if he uses Kakarot!, he'll get so tough that even the stronger characters struggle to stun him without powering up as well.
I always loved that growing up. It was a super cool detail and felt super accurate to the show's power scaling. Part of me would like that in XV but considering how much of an unbalanced mess that game is, maybe not. 😅
@@VicMeep I largely agree with how BT3 handled it, but some of them left me baffled. For me, notably, was NOT letting Piccolo keep his ability to stun tougher characters, as he was able to in BT2, when by all accounts he SHOULD be able to be on par with SSJ characters to be able to do so. Dabura lacking it is also very strange, same with King Cold. And frankly I miss Max Power Roshi being able to do that like Piccolo did, if only for the sake that his powered up form is a bit hard to use when it's so sluggish.
@@MrMarket1987 True, the max power does give that extra stun or armor power. I always hated how Dabura and King cold were never naturally able to break through armor. If I remember correctly there was an armor breaking potara skill that could fix that for characters.

5:06 the reason Baby says BBA instead of FF is because he took over Vegetas body not his mind so he doesn’t know which name goes to which attack just the name of the attack.. you can also see it was a different charge effect for the FF as well, he’s never charged it up like that before..

4:08 in Tenkaichi 2 you could build it up like that AND THEN trigger the Kaioken (which in that game *doubled* damage). As difficult as it was it was very satisfying to deliver that 99999 (although admittedly numbers in Tenkaichi 2 were much more bloated compared to 3)...
I think the reason Frieza's ship and Roshi's house are modeled inside is because at first the developers thought that one could get inside the object, for example by leaving the door of Master Roshi's house open. Anyway, Roshi's house is easily destructible, but I suppose that although it would be a fun detail, someone among the creators must have considered that it would be distracting from the fight or confusing.

I remembered another feature from BT3: if you select the devilman and uses his strongest special against a villain character, the damage will be greater, near a instadeath. Use against good characters will trigger only a minor damage.
That's the actual purpose of the attack. In the OG series, Baba pretty much explains that this attack will kill the opponent if it has even the slightest drop of evil in him, while it will do absolutely nothing if the opponent is pure good, no evil in sight.

About Nappa's goatee, dragon ball heroes ultimely gave us the answer. Turns out that yes, if Nappa went ssj his goatee would grow longer, and they proved that by jumping straight to ssj3 for him.

Frieza spaceship is breakable. Also one thing you mightve forgot to mention is that if you use certain specials in certain maps the mapt itself will change completely to a barren destroyed version. I remember doing this with 2nd form cooler in the waterfall map
Fun fact: That charge sound was actually first used on DBZ (At least around 1993) first before Capcom would uses it for Megaman X4 (1997) and beyond lol.

Heh, a fine modest list of details and trivia. I can share more than a handful of details about this game myself, still being fortunate enough to own a working PS2 disc since the year it came out. The Ki drain effect is of course potent so long as you merely hit someone without making them flinch, but in the event you get them knocked down you can force them to stand up and continue to take a beating by Ki rushing at them, somewhat charging for a stronger blow, and releasing the button before you go swinging full force; Hit the Armored foes too hard with that powered attack and you send them flying, hit them too soft and they stay on the ground, both which lets them recover properly. That said, this is also a very dangerous and cheap tactic that works wonders with 19, Gero, the incomplete forms of Cell that let him drain with his tail, and Babidi. If ANY of them manage to fully drain an opponent's Ki into the red, especially those that don't have extra flinch resistance, you can just grab, DRAIN Ki, toss, and start a very painful process over and over that is the same as the matter of just hitting standing armored foes. It's easier to avoid sending less Armored foes even, when just the lightest powered up hit from a empowered dash towards them gets them to stand up, which would likely fail on the bigger guys otherwise. There's a LOT more I can go into details on, but I'm gonna leave a note that in this game the only character to share Lazuli's type of Destructo Disc Super is Full Power Freeza. It's likely the exact same move as the Emperor's and they just didn't bother to alter the color, given that Krillin's Ultimate variant looks and works differently.

To add to the android 18 fact at 3:20 ish If you do a yellow destructo disk (this can be done from a jump or from a dash charged ki blast) and then do the super attack destructo disk the two disks change to yellow as well (at least on wii, unsure about other versions)

For the Super Baby 2 Big Bang Attack, it’s kinda weird because most of the time this variation of this move is used it’s actually called Big Bang Attack (most recent example is DB Legends) but sometimes it doesn’t stay consistent as in DB FighterZ the move is just called Full Power Energy Wave.
I remember when I was a kid I got the stare Easter egg but instead of Goku it was with Super Buu (or Buuhan I don't exactly remember). I didn't find it too scary because of Buu's emotional range (his was limited compared to Gokus), but I found it creepy and interesting still how the characters seemed sentient when you idle with them.
Tenkaichi 3 is the best fighting meta to ever exist 😭 such a slept on fighting game. Thank you for making these videos bringing light to this great game.
Regarding Baby's voice line I believe it's due to the fact Baby wouldn't have knowledge of Vegeta's techniques. Or a rudimentary understanding at best since he had only just possessed him. That or it's a goof

There's also this nice Easter egg in Budokai 3 where if you play Android 18 with her casual outfit from when she lived in Roshi's house with Krillin, and use her Accel Danse ultimate in combat, then it's Krillin who's gonna perform the move along with her instead of 17.
Well you can see the interiors of friezas ship by breaking it, you can break the whole ship around and see the interior, same with the Muscle tower stage where they went through the effort of detailing every floor.

That's the actual purpose of the attack. In the OG series, Baba pretty much explains that this attack will kill the opponent if it has even the slightest drop of evil in him, while it will do absolutely nothing if the opponent is pure good, no evil in sight.

@@shulkxeno yeah cause it's all fun an games until you try to get a game like Kindgom Hearts 2 on PSX2 to map correctly and play at the right frame rate to feel like original hardware. Where as mine was having issues and Roxas in the starting area was almost moving in slow motion while walking around type problems.

From my part, recent things that db heroes has done, and that I liked are: Golden Cooler; the Goku Black it has introduced in the penultimate arc and his ssj2 ssj3 and buffed ssj3 rosé forms; and the ssj3 forms it gave to Nappa and Raditz.

Heh, a fine modest list of details and trivia. I can share more than a handful of details about this game myself, still being fortunate enough to own a working PS2 disc since the year it came out.
The Ki drain effect is of course potent so long as you merely hit someone without making them flinch, but in the event you get them knocked down you can force them to stand up and continue to take a beating by Ki rushing at them, somewhat charging for a stronger blow, and releasing the button before you go swinging full force; Hit the Armored foes too hard with that powered attack and you send them flying, hit them too soft and they stay on the ground, both which lets them recover properly.
That said, this is also a very dangerous and cheap tactic that works wonders with 19, Gero, the incomplete forms of Cell that let him drain with his tail, and Babidi. If ANY of them manage to fully drain an opponent's Ki into the red, especially those that don't have extra flinch resistance, you can just grab, DRAIN Ki, toss, and start a very painful process over and over that is the same as the matter of just hitting standing armored foes. It's easier to avoid sending less Armored foes even, when just the lightest powered up hit from a empowered dash towards them gets them to stand up, which would likely fail on the bigger guys otherwise.
There's a LOT more I can go into details on, but I'm gonna leave a note that in this game the only character to share Lazuli's type of Destructo Disc Super is Full Power Freeza. It's likely the exact same move as the Emperor's and they just didn't bother to alter the color, given that Krillin's Ultimate variant looks and works differently.
Baby just doesn't know any of Vegeta's moves, so he just starts trying to rename them.

If you do a yellow destructo disk (this can be done from a jump or from a dash charged ki blast) and then do the super attack destructo disk the two disks change to yellow as well (at least on wii, unsure about other versions)
It was cool revisiting all of these Tenkaichi ones in a video detailing them. I think I put more hours into that game than any other game in my life.
The reason that Baby called the move big bang attack in the anime is because when he uses that move he actually shoots a ball.
Baby also says Big Bang Attack while doing Final Flash on the Portuguese-Brazilian dub, it was pretty funny the first time I watched

For the Super Baby 2 Big Bang Attack, it’s kinda weird because most of the time this variation of this move is used it’s actually called Big Bang Attack (most recent example is DB Legends) but sometimes it doesn’t stay consistent as in DB FighterZ the move is just called Full Power Energy Wave.

I remember when I was a kid I got the stare Easter egg but instead of Goku it was with Super Buu (or Buuhan I don't exactly remember). I didn't find it too scary because of Buu's emotional range (his was limited compared to Gokus), but I found it creepy and interesting still how the characters seemed sentient when you idle with them.

Well you can see the interiors of friezas ship by breaking it, you can break the whole ship around and see the interior, same with the Muscle tower stage where they went through the effort of detailing every floor.
