I’m an old soul with music and vehicles. My up most favorite bike ever is the FXR. We gave Harley the chance to bring back the FXR for decades, they didn’t listen. Now Buell is taking over, and I’m all for it 💪

I’m so happy buell is back. I wish Eric was still a part of it. Kinda sad but it is what it is. Just wish they would start reproducing the XB parts. I love my 03 buell XB I’m interested in that Roland Sands bike it’s got that Road King Special. Would look awesome sitting next to my 22 RK and XB😉
I agree, have a 03 9R myself. 80k miles and it is still my favorite. There are many parts that cross reference that I have found a bunch of. Things like injectors are off a 94 mustang both are the same in 03 only and different injectors for each cylinder other years. air box temp sensor is from a F- 150, O2 sensors, list goes to filters. iv replaced a lot more than you would believe from regular auto parts store. Some shared with Sportster like Speedo p/u at HD. Even a brake down of parts to make them chain drive for less than the cost of a belt, and 03 has a different belt and pulley than other years which is more expensive so it is cheaper to convert to the updated different tooth count belt/pulley or chain
Great looking bike, seems like it would be a great hooligan machine, but I think people are going to have sticker shock when it finally goes for sale.....for $25k+. I think if it ends up being successful in spite of the price, you're going to see HD respond with a similar bike w/1250 Revmax in a light chassis, which would be really cool! I'm rooting for Buell, we need more American Motorcycle's with modern, high output v-twins.

I've had two Buells, and air cooled and a Rotax powered one. Both very cool bikes I loved.
Notice to Buell. Please put large gas tanks on your future bikes. Todays trend of placing 2.8-3.2 gallon gas tanks on large bikes is insane. You can't tour on an Indian scout. Nuff said.

@@clubstyleridahd4695 lost all respect for them and will never get a Harley pretty much because of it. They didn't even hold to the promise of 10 years parts production to maintain existing Buells. About four years in and then dealerships actually through out the last parts

I’ve ridden the older Buell 1125s and I beleive that is the same basic engine. I know for sure that the 1125 is a savage engine. Especially without any electronic rider aids. This new engine will be awesome.

Buell should target a small and midsize cruiser and just conquer the bike market. Maybe a true retro styled air cooled bike with pushbutton and Kickstarter. Would probably dominate the market. I've heard a lot of biker's wished they had one with Kickstarter back up ect

Buell came out 15-20 yrs too early. I truly think light, simple, powerful vtwin bikes priced in the $10k-20k range would be a hit. Theyre more performance oriented now more then ever too.
Ive been following their models the past 9ish years but most of their bikes are competitive race bikes. Driving sales thru winning on the racetrack is a proven strategy, but i think its more likely they had a specific non compete clause with hd preventing them from producing cruiser style bikes for the past 25 yrs.
This new cruiser will be interesting as these bikes use top notch components throughout.
That thing is only 5 hp less than my family sedan in the driveway. What a nice machine.

That supercruiser might force dust to settle on my custom softtail. I gotta admit I like it a bit. 17 wheels are the performance norm but just seem too small. Hopefully all the top end sprinkles stay on this cake once it is fully baked. Will anyone like to ball park the purchase price?

Aren't those Austrian Rotax motors?
It's a little complicated. It's predacessor the 1125 was developed by Rotax & Buell (who absolutely had input, including the 72 degrees between cylinders) and initially assembled IN Austria. When EBR later developed the 1190 they also purchased outright any exclusive Rotax design components. The current Buell in Michigan is hand assembling what is legally considered a Buell engine but which no doubt has Rotax heritage.

Is it possible to find one, just one, new motorcycle ANYWHERE that is not 99% BLACK??????? This black on top of black on top of more black thing has completely gotten out of control. I'm so glad I have my collection of older bikes with bright colored paint, bright aluminum, and LOTS of chrome.
Some people like rainbow colors some people like it black they make something for everybody
@@KaplanCyclesI have owned a couple of black bikes, meaning the tank and side covers were gloss black. Everything else but the frame, seat, tires, cables, grips, and hoses was either chrome, bright aluminum, or painted some other color than black.
The production version looks too watered down. Missing the cool 4n2 titanium looking pipes, aluminium tapered radiator, forks etc. Most of what made the original Roland Sand Buell so unique is missing just looks.... cheap!!! Disappointing Buell

@@cheekgoblin that’s not true. Less heat does not equal more power. Strictly Controlled heat does equal being able to pass epa regulations. Air cooled motors run hotter than water pumpers do and that is normal. Most airplanes don’t have water pumps. Basically, a water pump absolutely does not = more power.
