Current events twist. I am diabetic and insuline resistant. I was using Walgreens and recently they had a round of closings, and doing the same. I explained about the rv life and they said to keep a 60 days on hand and transfer. Yeahbi found the gap where the walgreens no longer had a pharmacy! Had it sent to cvs for a month. I have a 12 volt 6 pack fridge just for that.
I have all of my mail sent to my parents house. I also have my address as my parents house for all of my registration and license and things like that. During the summer when I go up to alaska, I just used the general post through the post office and it works amazing! As for medical, it sucks! Controlled substance medications are the worst. It's a constant battle. But, it is what it is. Great video guys!! 🤠

With regards to the USPS/UPS/FedEx confusion, the Postal Service will NOT accept anything coming in on a UPS or FedEx truck. The upside is that neither service will take a USPS Post Office Box number as a delivery address, so there's no disconnect there. If you order from Amazon, they will deliver via USPS, but if you only have a P.O. Box you won't be able to select UPS or FedEx as your delivery method.

My mom is from Pennington county also. We travel there all the time. Also on some insurances plans you can get what is called a ppo ( preferred provider option) which has certain benefits that will help cover someone while travelling
Most Thw UPS Stores (independent franchisee owned) offer physical street address mailbox services: they accept your USPS mail and ALL package types up to freight delivery at some locations, presort as needed, and can forward mail and packages to new locations for their monthly contract amounts. Just another option to consider.
When you head north, just prepare to be a little underwhelmed if you stay at The Oaks at Point South RV. It is a super convenient stopover heading to NC though. Love the videos!
My family and I sold everything and purchased a fifth wheel. A heartland milestone 370flmb. We were so excited but turns out our dream became into a nightmare! When we took delivery of our unit, the inside was infested with fiberglass! So all of our clothes, dishes, appliances, bed and everything we owned was blanketed with fiberglass. We notified the dealership and manufacturer, instead of helping us they both are giving us a hard time.

Domicile in FL..Yes the state sponsor insurance is great! Higher insurance? Because FL residents(sorry, I am a transplant in FL) mostly do not know how to drive...Period, they would rather run into you then yield and wait those precious 2 seconds..
if u r having your mail sent to other peoples address you should put c/o that person on the package or have that person inform their post office that mail in your name can be delivered at their house.
Glad to be back in the land of internet and catching up with your videos. General Delivery is not available in all Post offices. We had been in Phoenix and trying to contact a person at a post office via phone is close to impossible so we had to drive there and speak to someone and then they gave us the details about what PO actually accept general delivery and they were only a couple downtown Phoenix!

So is there a difference in declaring a state as your domicile vs becoming a resident of that state? We would probably go with Florida, but to become a resident, you have to prove that you are there half of the year.
It is kinda tricky, but to our knowledge residency is where you choose to live. Domicile is somewhere you call a "home base." Definitely verify though, because we aren't professionals in this 😃 Cheers Kathy!
Hi guys! VERY HELPFUL! This is a big question for lots of us. The home base is an excellent plan…I do a yearly dr visit anyway, so I’ll be following that route. The domicile in different states is also interesting. We will all be on Medicare…so hopefully we can be seen/serviced anywhere… and my brother is actually a resident of South Dakota….so that could be a good option for us. I will do more research. I am lucking out on the address thing... A friend has 10 acres and is going to set me up with full hook up and I can use that address for registration and mailing address. I just have to get my sticks and bricks sold and a new trailer purchased.
Great content as always you two. We will be fortunate when we hit the road when I retire at 55 next year. My employer will provide us medical coverage for life including our Medicare plans when the time comes with minimal copays . They will also provide us with a HSA of 30k to cover any out of pocket expenses. We are very fortunate to have coverage like this. We will utilize tele-medicine and mail order RX if needed. And like you two. We have are a nurse and former Fire/EMS so we tend to “self diagnose” at times. Take Care and keep being goofy. It’s the only way to live.
Our domicile is Texas. You can renew your vehicle tags online without a inspection. You just note your out of state and they renew the plates. The catch is with 24-48 hours(check the exact time) you must have your inspections complete after returning to the state.

We are full timers and went with Traveling Mailbox for mail forwarding and domicile address. They have multiple choices in many states. We like the scanning features they offer. We can get pieces scanned if we choose and just download to keep on file. We have very little actually forwarded to us. Newbies be aware though - many mail forwarding addresses meet the federal requirements for a legal address, but the states won't recognize it for voting. Also ended up changing domicile from TX to FL. We wanted to upgrade our 23 ft. travel trailer to a 5th wheel. Learned TX requires a non-commercial CDL license if your rig+truck weighs 26,001 lbs or if rig alone is 10K lbs or more. Yeah. That coupled with yearly inspections made us dump TX. Florida made everything SO easy. Yes, insurance costs more. Gotta pick your battles. Health care is also challenging. We chose a medical indemnity plan. We have no home base and currently don't really plan to come back to one area yearly (we think). Got questions? Hit me! Lived & breathed this stuff for over a year!

Hey guys, awesome stuff, I am a full-time RVer (5+ years), and a travel nurse, just did my two assignments, fairly new at travel nursing, although my residency right now is Arizona, I do have a mailbox with America’s mailbox, however, I am afraid to switch to South Dakota Because of fear of being taxed on the stipend. America’s mailbox is through Box Elder, and you mentioned in your video you have Box Elder through the escapees. I would just like to know if your physical address of domicile in South Dakota lists something like a PMB (personal mailbox). Maybe you indicate that PMB as an apartment?

That's a great question, you probably don't have to, but when it's time for tax season, it helps prove the domicile state even more to the IRS

We have not but that is something you'll need to make sure the machine can run off battery power just in case there is a power outage

We are full timers and went with Traveling Mailbox for mail forwarding and domicile address. They have multiple choices in many states. We like the scanning features they offer. We can get pieces scanned if we choose and just download to keep on file. We have very little actually forwarded to us. Newbies be aware though - many mail forwarding addresses meet the federal requirements for a legal address, but the states won't recognize it for voting. Also ended up changing domicile from TX to FL. We wanted to upgrade our 23 ft. travel trailer to a 5th wheel. Learned TX requires a non-commercial CDL license if your rig+truck weighs 26,001 lbs or if rig alone is 10K lbs or more. Yeah. That coupled with yearly inspections made us dump TX. Florida made everything SO easy. Yes, insurance costs more. Gotta pick your battles. Health care is also challenging. We chose a medical indemnity plan. We have no home base and currently don't really plan to come back to one area yearly (we think). Got questions? Hit me! Lived & breathed this stuff for over a year!

Hey guys, awesome stuff, I am a full-time RVer (5+ years), and a travel nurse, just did my two assignments, fairly new at travel nursing, although my residency right now is Arizona, I do have a mailbox with America’s mailbox, however, I am afraid to switch to South Dakota Because of fear of being taxed on the stipend. America’s mailbox is through Box Elder, and you mentioned in your video you have Box Elder through the escapees. I would just like to know if your physical address of domicile in South Dakota lists something like a PMB (personal mailbox). Maybe you indicate that PMB as an apartment?
Hi Maria! Congrats on your new adventure and travel nursing. That is so awesome to hear that you’ve been full-time as well for 5+ years 😃 Yes, it is technically listed as a PMB for our domicile. I think America’s mailbox and escapes are very similar in the programs that they offer regarding the domicile. I would definitely reach out to CPA and see what their thoughts are, if you have someone good to bounce some ideas off of. Thanks so much for your support and for taking the time to watch our videos.
