“Lord knows we don’t celebrate Halloween” lol that part! The older I’m getting the more I’m learning how some couples don’t prioritize or care much about Valentine’s Day! I like that people aren’t pressured into the societal pressures of doing the most just because it’s presented in that way!
😂🤣 I was like girl what am I talking about here LOL but yah we’ve never made a big deal about it but when it comes to my birthday and our anniversary, 👀 we shall be pulling out all the stops lol
I agree with the high maintenance Vs low maintenance friendship. There probably is a better term for it. I always say I’m a low maintenance friend simply because of my character, because I don’t require texts, calls, etc daily, weekly to know I’m loved but I always say it’s not an excuse to be a sorry friend. When my high maintenance friends that bring value and I want to continue relationship with, I rise to the occasion. I think it’s about honesty for sure! Loved this chat!
Yes! To me it speaks to a level understanding, security and effort. I feel like there’s so much of this my friends and community via stories have unpacked but it needs to be TALKED TALKED about lol
I prayed and prayed and cried for community here in Dallas and realized when God gave them to me and I KNEW it was from Him, I couldn’t mishandle them. I had to step outside of myself and reach out a little more but still knowing my natural inclination is to be reclusive being up front with the new community telling them that and that I’m a work in progress and want to love my friends how they need to be with the hopes they understand what I need as well as a true “hermit” and “recluse” as they’ll call me😅
Absolutely! There has to be that realization that you/I aren’t the only ppl of value coming to the table and we need to steward them well. It does register and intentionality. There has to be a standard and I think we have to be clear on what that is, use wisdom and discernment to best foster the environment for our hearts desires.
