I personally think anyone who is wasting their time with TH-cam is one of the biggest wastes of time there is. I've tried it multiple times so I'm speaking from experience. If you want to save your mental health and sanity... DON'T do TH-cam.

It's interesting how different everyone's journeys are. I'm currently 30 months into ~80 hour weeks trying to manifest my ideal job with very limited success, and I have been using my ~8 years of marketing experience along the way. I'm so tired, but I'll never give up - creating just feels right.
@kathleenwalsh1836 theoretically, one where I enjoy doing what I do, where I am providing something I believe in, which helps others in a tangible way, and where I'm rewarded for that (equal energetic exchange). So that is, it's something that ticks those boxes, not something specific. Practically, I began by providing tools to help people learn more about themselves and their life purpose (Numerology, Astrology), and I since moved into helping people learn and get the most from playing roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons (this channel and my business of the same name, which is much wider than TH-cam). I also make videos related to my health journey to help others going through a similar journey (Mercury poisoning). What is yours?
I really think tubebuddy has helped me with titles / keyword searches. SOMETIMES. I still have several tragically low videos. But it's helped me see what people MAY actually click on. Obviously the rest has to be good to keep them there.......And my CTR is still low. Just my 2 cents!

Hello from Bristol! So refreshing to listen to a British TH-camr, it makes it seem more possible! This video was super useful and so relatable! I am relatively new to TH-cam, my channel was all over the place too, I wanted to talk about all things health, wealth and happiness, as well as renovation of my house so that I never ran out of ideas!! But found that only my Reno videos are getting views so for now I am sticking to that primarily as a way in and have deleted the videos that didn’t get views so you get a better idea of the channel! Seems to be such a trial and error process but once it’s nailed you’re on a roll! Such a cool journey you’ve been on im so pleased for you!! I’ve just subscribed to your channel so I look forward to binge watching!! X

I strongly started entertaining the idea of starting my own you tube channel , after I got quite a lucrative contract that spanned over 6 months during the Big c ( as you called it) I was teaching on zooms, sewing and selfcare classes . I enjoyed being on camera motivating and learning with others . But nothing materialised , in terms of starting my YT channel ( procrastination, fear and distraction) Then beginning of 2024 that strong push came again So I started searching , how to start a YT channel I came across your channel , loved everything and started making notes, binged watched your videos and learnt a lot lot , that words alone cannot explain Again I didn’t start there and then Only until last 3 weeks … precisely 30th May I think , I created everything myself and secretly launched my YT channel with shorts, I am sooo excited . This was an incredible video. Your delulu side that you talk about actually reminds me of myself. I stopped posting on my first channel (Swahili SpicE) which has 20k subs because I hate doing food content. I'm handing that channel over to my mum but still will be editing, doing voiceovers and uploading. I've started with this channel pretty much from scratch. I too embed affiliate links from day 1, great minds think alike! 😉 Anywho, I started to get serious again on YT just before I got made redundant at the end of April. So far, went from 5 to 44 subscribers in 23 days since uploads began and over 500 views in the past 48 hours which I'm so grateful for! Even though I've managed to grow a channel before, I still sometimes think I'm delusional. There is a slight element of luck there and doing the right thing at the right time also. Thank you so much for your encouragement and letting us in on your tactics and strategies because that's a place I feel I sometimes lack on with executive disfunction having ADHD.

Those are some really valuable tips and I wish I have watched this video before... It would have saved me so much time I used on trial-and-error. But I guess it's never too late to learn and improve as content creator (Recently, I also discovered that using a bit of Famester can help massively to level up my channel). TH-cam is such a fun work though,I dont mind taking up as my full time job even if it doesnt pay me.I enjoy creating even for my 54 subscribers. Every subscriber matters and i feel so good when i create.

Those are some really valuable tips and I wish I have watched this video before... It would have saved me so much time I used on trial-and-error. But I guess it's never too late to learn and improve as content creator (Recently, I also discovered that using a bit of Famester can help massively to level up my channel). Thanks Jade, so refreshing to hear a structure that sounds business wise!, glad u tube has recommended you, thanks for being so honest and transparent too, seeing those stats makes me realise i'm not as far away as I think, do you have videos on the software options for editing, this is a whole blind spot for me, its been a huge learning curve in technology, I'm even struggling to use Instagram, and trying to teach myself, bit by bit.
I love your channel and the way you present your videos. I've learned lots from you. I just launched my TH-cam channel on April 7, 2024 and started with a 21 day challenge., which I prepared ahead of time. This gave me some time to start creating more videos. I love it so much though. Never thought it would be this much fun to do and learn so much each and every day.

Well done on becoming a full time creator in a short amount of time. I have only just starting a channel and have no subscribers yet, so hopefully I will keep it up with consistency and achieve some subscribers soon.
