Nice video, and a good primer for people looking to get into Bible study more (which should be all of us). I have found that not only is it good to have more than one translation, with commentaries it's also good to have more than one; you have that between the notes in your study Bible and Tony Evans commentary. When I come across a tricky passage I will consult multiple sources because theologians will sometimes bring their personal theological perspectives to their study notes/commentary. Study Bibles with study notes from multiple authors are good because they can provide checks and balances for one another; the same for commentaries. I often dig into the original languages to provide deeper insight on a given verse, and find resources that help me with that to be invaluable; the cool thing is I don't need training in Hebrew or Greek to use them. I teach Sunday school, so getting it right is critical. In that regard, two resources I use are the Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible (available in multiple translations) and The New Strong's Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words. And, I just subscribed.

I prayed and prayed and cried for community here in Dallas and realized when God gave them to me and I KNEW it was from Him, I couldn’t mishandle them. I had to step outside of myself and reach out a little more but still knowing my natural inclination is to be reclusive being up front with the new community telling them that and that I’m a work in progress and want to love my friends how they need to be with the hopes they understand what I need as well as a true “hermit” and “recluse” as they’ll call me😅

I agree with the high maintenance Vs low maintenance friendship. There probably is a better term for it. I always say I’m a low maintenance friend simply because of my character, because I don’t require texts, calls, etc daily, weekly to know I’m loved but I always say it’s not an excuse to be a sorry friend. When my high maintenance friends that bring value and I want to continue relationship with, I rise to the occasion. I think it’s about honesty for sure! Loved this chat!

“Lord knows we don’t celebrate Halloween” lol that part! The older I’m getting the more I’m learning how some couples don’t prioritize or care much about Valentine’s Day! I like that people aren’t pressured into the societal pressures of doing the most just because it’s presented in that way!

When I say your sit down chit chat has ministered to me! It’s been so hard to accept the term “influencer” as the world sees it as us who are led by Christ are called to influence and draw people to him. I literally batch shoot and plan my feed but as you said, if the Holy Spirit tells me to skip a post, change a caption, I’m always yielding to that.
