- Changing rear brake pads and rotors on a Mercedes Benz E Class W213 2017.
It is the second time doing brakes, so I hope I did everything right; if not, please tell me what I did wrong and how to improve it?
Usually, I do myself things like replacing brake pads and rotors

great work, i did this today finally. Some pointers for others that try this: you need to release the parking brake otherwise it will popup an error when you try to open the brake cylinder via the menu system. The error reported is "Conditions not fulfilled. Retry with OK Cancel with Back". Once the parking brake is released you'll be fine. Another thing that caused me irritation was removing the electric connector (not the sensor) from each side, there's a clip holding it in place but it wasnt clear to me how to release it so I broke it on one side. Hopefully it wont cause me problems later, basically though it's held in with that clip and you need to push it up gently while pulling on the plug.
Thank you sir , this is best I could find in you tube keep up good work.
Was able to do this job in 2 hours on my ’19 w213. The hardest part were the brake mount pins. Those suckers were on tight from the factory. WISH I had a lift for ease of access.
Great video and nice to see the technology in some of these newer cars wrt servicing. I took a brake/suspension class way back in 2014 or so when I was a new engineer, and I had forgotten about how we had to put the EU spec Jeeps with the "lug bolts" instead of the "lug nuts", so alas mounting the wheel can be a bit iffy, but it looks like you got it down 😊
danke,viel erfolg
Excellent video. One small improvement you could make is to note the location of the rubber composite brake pin. It is fitted to the lower position but you can't tell this in the video.
thanks for the video ! can you please share what the blue grease you used was called (ebay/amazon link ?) and the white spray you used ? thanks so much !
Hi, what torque specs did you use in order to tighten the bolts?
Thank you! Get some W177 and do every single part :D
What do those dots on the discs mean
What is the white spray you used?
Respect !
I'm interested in the crane with which you lift the car.
specifications, name, (what voltage) and approximate price.

So after you close your break fluid cap and you're done exit fitting position you don't need press the brake with your feet and pump the fluid. or is that what the exit fitting position is for?
The brake fitting position mode frees off the e handbrake to ensure it doesn’t come on whilst you are changing the pads. You still need to manually push back the caliper (having removed the filler cap first). Once you have exited fitting mode then check the level and refit the cap. Brake pressure will return after the first press of the brake pedal 👍
🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍
When removing the brake rotor the tool used for that is T25 or T30?
T30
Ace
Any precautions when lifting car with an air suspension ?
This model nothing to do. Some cars have service mode.
Does anybody know all the sizes of the bolts used in this video?
18 on Caliper, 13 on pins
How long time did it take for your rotors to be completely uncoated?
I didn’t pay attention to that ✌️
@@DFCGarage i’m asking because I still have a line of coat in the middle of a brake disks, same on both sides. I drives like 100-150km after I change my rotors
@@lamoorproduction550 Maybe the lines are from the small holes in the brake disks that help you to see when the disks are worn out.
@@DFCGarage a line is like 5cm wide, that can be pad that maybe doesn’t pushing one hole disk, until new disk and new pads start to work with each other normally. I don’t know
What vaseline you use on pins :)
I have a mechanic shop nearby; a mechanic gave me that Vaseline special for the job. I did something wrong? 😅
@@DFCGarage I ask for the type or product 😊
