    Did you bleed your brakes after?

    thanks for the video, I am changing my front pads and rotors and wanted to check if I need to drain the brake fluid after completing the job. I noticed you opened the reservoir cap but other than that you didn't mentioned anything about getting the air out of the system. Can you please point me in the right direction? thanks so much

      Not needed, if you don't want to change the brake fluid at the same time. You need less force to push down caliber cylinders when the reservoir cap is open. Thats why you should open the cap.

    Is there a difference between the brakes from a c63(467bhp) and c63s?

      S has bigger front brakes

    You reused the old clips...I suggest just but the full package brake kits...this metal clips get rusted...weakened...and will not be as strong as new ones...you could end up with issues...you are there always....its like a half ass job TBH...

    Funny old vid this.
    In one vid says you don't need carbons and then within seconds says they suffer brake fade......
    ANYBODY that does things like this on the net should provide proper info like torque settings and specifications for everything that they can. Whilst it is the responsibility of people doing the actual job it's not really responsible to only give half the instruction for the work at hand.
    Don't spray grease around like that, others will copy you and not be so careful. Take it off and grease it away from the assembly. Don't compromise yourself OR OTHERS on the road.
    There are too many videos on TH-cam doing things like this. Even journeymen like that blowhard Scotty Kilmer are guilty of this.
    The amount of money you save not going to the main stealer will more than pay for a torque wrench. The forums are full of the tech info you are looking for too.

    If you TH-cam how to engage the shop mode it opens the pistons for you

    • @xesytoob
      @xesytoob ปีที่แล้ว

      So if you engage that in workshop it will open the pistons on all axles?

    How long did it take you to do all of this?

    • @lokeyjb
      @lokeyjb  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question 🔥🔥🔥 Took me 3 maybe 4 hours trying to record and get all the camera angles and audio, right 😅 but this brake job shouldn’t take longer than an hour maybe an hour and a half

    Great video. Are you supposed to engage the workshop mode before unbolting any of the back caliper?

    • @cexy63s
      @cexy63s ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should engage it before starting the rears fronts you gotta either drain the fluid or push it in
