Your videos are fantastic. I'm from Russia, but I want to learn Japanese. I had a problem because there aren't any useful information to study Japanese in my native language, so I started learning English to watch your video. Earlier I can't say even the most uncomplicated sentences, but now I can fully understand you, and I'm pleased about it. Thank you :3
When I started learning Japanese I also searched for Russian websites, there’s one called Aikidoka BUT it’s really outdated and has mistakes in its content. That’s why I’m now learning fully in English, so it’s like double-learning for me when I don’t know some words in English, because my native language is Ukrainian :)
When I noticed that おなかに入りください I was freaking out. It just sounds so ominous. Also it made happy im good enough to notice word play now. いつもありがとうございます、みさ先生!
I will be very honest, I was listening how you tell the story while looking at the gana and kanji but did my best not to look at the English text just to try and train my hearing. I can understand some parts but totally lost for most of the story...it is very deep. I will try to listen again next time without looking at the translation if there will be improvement...thank you for your awesome efforts teacher Misa!! :-) ...also, I loved how you did various voices to the characters!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Absolutely love this story showcasing that Japanese can be ambiguously interpreted given that the subject/object are not always explicitly stated. 直ぐ食べられます!🙃
This story also seems to be a mythological explanation of Temporary Facial Paralysis. There is a common misconception that temperature differences and/or extreme cold can produce Facial Paralysis, even if studies don't seem to corroborate it. This was a pretty cool lesson. I'm trying more and more to introduce audio content into my studies and this helped a lot. Thanks for the video!
Very cool story! Thank you for using different voices as well, I especially liked the two cat "henchmen". As for the play on words with inside/stomach, how is it written in the book? With the kanji for inside, the one stomach or just in hiragana to make it more ambiguous?
Outstanding video! Thank you so much for the vocabulary and verb usage! I love Japanese horror movies/stories. This tale is sort of like the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man."

I too would like to hear some suggestions. I'm about 60 pages into 魔女の宅急便, know as Kiki's Delivery Service in English. Probably more people know the Ghibli movie that was based on it. Anyways so far I have enjoyed it and it is pretty readable for me as a beginner, I would recommend it.
I'd recommend Japanese Graded Readers (Reberu Tadoku Raiburarii) series if you're not familiar with it already. They feature different popular Japanese short stories, myths, legends, ghost stories, rakugo, etc. and graded by difficulty levels. This particular story was also included in one of their books.
@@osamahabbas3443 I read to a 5th grade level. It took two years. When I was just starting, children's novels like Kiki's Delivery Service and the Girl Who Leaped Through Time were accessible and cute. Don't knock the Graded Readers series before you've tried it! Levels 0 and 1 may be too boring for you if you're past N3, but levels 3 and 4 feature especially interesting and challenging texts with native audio at native speed; I discovered some of my favorite authors from that series. In Japan, kids also read series called Ikki ni Yomeru (Read in One Go) and 10pun de Yomeru (Read in Ten Minutes) that are selected by grade level. The early levels have a lot of children's register Japanese, but you'll also be exposed to a lot of great Japanese children's literature from the likes of Niimi Nankichi, Uehashi Nahoko and Murakami Haruki. As for real novels, that is going to depend on your interests. Do you like Japanese history and fantasy? Uehashi Nahoko's Beast Player (3rd-5th grade) and Guardian of the Spirit (5th-6th grade) would be fun for you. Do you like war history and medicine? The "Dororo" novels (set during the Warring States period) might appeal to you. Do you like European history and trade, intricate plotting and romance? Spice and Wolf might be a good fit for you. If you like reading about culture, books, and magic, the Ascendance of a Bookworm series is a good fit. If you like suspense and horror, I can recommend the Death Note Los Angeles BB Serial Murders light novel unreservedly. I read widely, so if there's something you're looking for specifically feel free to reply. :) Have fun reading!
