I'm a 5 handicap and use the 919 Hot Metal Pros bent mostly 2 degrees weaker and love them (PW@47, 9@42, 8@37, 7@32, 6@28, 5@24) - these cover me from 133 yard PW carry to 197 yard 5 iron carry. The trailing edge relief on the soles allow the clubs to be bent weaker - it also makes the PW @ 47 degrees a nice club to chip with the additional bounce and the weight in the toe for a nice stable face for longer running chips. The Hot Metal Pros, with the minimal offset are what sold me - then bend the shorter clubs slightly weaker and they're perfect

I’m impressed by your knowledge and informative format, what you said about the hot metal lofts something the golf snobs should understand.

Great video, dope irons, though I'm not sure I agree with the handicap advice. A lot goes into a player's handicap beyond ballstriking. I'm currently an 8-9 but probably hit the ball as consistently as a 13-14, just scramble/putt well. I've also always found that using smaller clubheads sharpens your focus -- my buddy went from Titleists CBs to the Cobra Forged Tec irons and was hitting the ball further but his strikes were suddenly all over the face.

I play the 919 Tour and really love them. Not much new in this model.

What's the MOI of the Hot Metal and Hot Metal Pro?

The forged is essentially identical to the hot metal pro....but is $400 more expensive and is forged unlike the hot metal.

Hey Sam, Brad here with GOLFTEC. Yes that is correct. Your paying for the grain flow forged iron head which has a very different and softer feel to it.

Yeah, i dont get why the guy on the right said that if you’re a >10 then you should stay awayr from the forged. He came off as a snob and just considered the handicap without even taking into account how the player swings

I just got played mine for the first time after getting fitted for them. They are still very forgiving. My first ever shot with the 6 iron on a par 3, I hit it so far on the toe that half the ball missed the grooves entirely. Still went straight, still drove the green.

    Great video,
I was really looking at the MP 20 line, when I heard about the JPX 921 coming to the market.
With the exception of the JPX 921 Tour, how would combo the 3 remaining irons types and the hybrid to make a complete set??

When will these be available to hit for a fitting?

Got fitted the 921 forged yesterday.
Hot metals did feel amazing, very very powerful. But way too long, and too high.

How does the Forged feel? Compared to hotmetal?

    • @joshmercieca8921
      @joshmercieca8921 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@urswymann8224 softer & quieter, felt quite traditional but obviously more forgiving, off centre shots still felt decent, definitely weren't as punishing as the tours
Overall was really surprised by the hot metal, if they suited me I wouldve gotten them. Just the crunch when they came off the face was a wow factor

@@urswymann8224 they felt like a nice traditional forged mizuno iron. If i played them straight after the 919 maybe I wouldve felt a difference. But I didn't, so in my head I think they're very similar, felt similar to an ap2 but more crunch factor

@@OneSlowLT1 they did a prelaunch testing that I went to, which I asked to be fitted at, they were happy to do so. Was good experience. Drummond golf at west beach in Adelaide
