You'll love cycling in Douro (mostly Peso da Régua, Lamego, Tabuaço, Sernancelhe and Penedono). Region with the most beautiful landscapes in Portugal. Doing Peso da Régua - Pinhão is a mandatory one there.
I travelled through Spain & Portugal in the late 90's. Spent a few nights in Viana De Costello. Remember it being a cool little place. Had my first ever Calzone there and boy was it bloody delicious. Anyway, great video Thomas and if you gotta go there, as you say, may as well make the most of it.
@@TheCyclingTattooist , the good thing (form me) is that we have hundreds and hundreds of magnificent dishes in Portugal and the francesinha is near the bottom of my list. 😁
Brexit did this to you Thomas. Sorry to say 💁🏻♂️. You are from a third country now. But i can imagine one should have a lot of patience with any southend european country. Still my family drives from Denmark to Italy when it is holiday. It is charming as well, because there always is another day tomorrow. Best regards
I love that part of Portugal. It's a pity you didn't visit Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in Portugal. It was founded in 1125, just before the formation of Portugal.
I feel you mate, as an Englishman now living full time in Japan I know that immigration feeling! But like yourself - as I get to ride Japans mountains and countryside, it’s a nice upside!
The next time you come to Viana do Castelo, you have to try either the Corno de Bico climb (that It goes from Ponte de Lima to Paredes de Coura) or the Serra D'Arga climb (It has better views than Boalhosa climb, that you did in this video)
I've had one of those sandwiches before and tbh I just don't know how you managed to then proceed to go out on the bike and do 80kms! Kudos that man! 😂😂
Great vid as always and a great ride. Seemed somewhat greener up north? I like the culinary aspect of your videos very much. When is TCT’s cookbook due?😅 Cheers
Hi Thomas, I'm a big recent fan of your videos!! They are absolutely great and very entertainment. When you decide to visit Algarve, I have a great group of cycling, to show you great roads, tell me something if you decide it, 💪💪🚴🚴
@@TheCyclingTattooist absolutely, very cool weather and you have all kind of roads!! I'll leave you later a comment in stava "My name Ruben Ventura" keep doing this!! 👏
@@TheCyclingTattooist I had a dirty kebab on a ride once and had to run behind a hedge in a field in Leicestershire countryside. Wasn't my best fueling plan!

Viana do Castelo is usually home to l’etape du tour in October

Thomas, can you tell me which setup do you use to recording your videos? I love this cinematic vibes 🙌🏼
Quality content ! new follower here
How do you deal with punctures when out on long rides do you ever carry spare tires with you or puncture repair kits ?
Amazing scenery. Thanks for sharing. Why the long sleeve jerseys though...is it cold? 🏴
Best sun protection…
Hello Thomas, I’m going to be in Lisboa from Sept 14th through to 6th October if you wanted to get a spin in?
Did you eat the chips? lol
Of course mate....that's an additional side order, a carb pre load for the ride I assume 😊
I've had one of those sandwiches before and tbh I just don't know how you managed to then proceed to go out on the bike and do 80kms! Kudos that man! 😂😂
Yeah they’re heavy alright… kinda glad I had a few hours between eating it and riding! 🤣
Guarda-Sol in Póvoa de Varzim need to try the francesinha
I’ll add it to my list… 😁🙌
That’s def no prison food for the prison tattooist. Ur a free man with a spoiled belly. Be happy 😊

Haha thank you… I’ve been thinking up some ways to incorporate food into my videos, as cycling and food are literally my two favourite things… 🤣👍

Meat and cheese before a ride 🤣🤣

Hope you burned those calories off :-)

Immigration places are the same the world over, mate. Keep on keeping on.
Is the whole country a cyclists paradise or what?
Pretty much! 🤪🙌
