Thanks again sammy...that was a temporary home to so many people while waiting for base housing. Me and my then family stayed there for about 2 months.
Thank you for the videos, since last year I started watching them as part of my final research in architecture, specifically to the existing infrastructure. I would like to communicate with you at some point.
Thanks Sammy, like I said before is sad to see that place, I remember many time I stayed in the Navy Lodge the night before prior take space A, I'm very impressed with the roof conditions, still in good conditions after 20+ close and 🌀 pass by, be great if the Government do something about it.
@@spvideo68 I remember the BOQ (and the Officer's Club) being way up on the hill to the South of Bundy. I know Sammy did a video a while back that he said was the Officer's Club. I am 99.99% certain that it was the Chief's Club and NOT the Officer's Club in that video. On Google Earth, you can see the roof of one of the BOQ buildings clearly (long grey structure oriented maybe 350/170 degrees along the long axis. The rest of the BOQ and the Officer's Club are/were just to the North/Northwest of this building. You can see the roofs of the other building but they are much darker and a little harder to pick out on Google Earth. I stayed in the BOQ a few times in the mid 1990's. I was also fortunate to be able to stay in the Navy Lodge once.

Roof looks like it’s still in great shape!
Sure is I was surprized myself.
Wow we lived at Navy Lodge for a month in January 1994 while we waited for our housing to be available. Then moved to Hancock Circle.
Awesome, thank you for watching.
I use to work here from 1999-2001
Cool! Thanks for watching.

@spvideo68 pleasure Sammy, thank you for your time to make the videos, I do appreciate it.
Also family’s stayed there while waiting for housing or to leave. My family stayed there before we left PR after the lodge opened
Cool. The building is in great shape besides the inside which was kind of surprising to me.
In 79 when we came to RR we stayed in place I was told was BOQ it had a big round water fountain in the front
The BOQ is in bundy this Hotel is in front of the main road and Navy Exchange area.
Can you do a video of the boq? Is that what it was really called ? I know it was like a hotel

@@jpsmusicforthemood5197 you are correct the club I covered was the Chief’s club the Officers club is on the hill inside some barracks in Bundy area.
Rosey is quite a large place so did it have a cafeteria or did the guests had to fend for themselves looking for a place to eat or get a snack?
It had many places to eat including it’s own Mcdonalds.
Is it Bundy area?
No, its in front of Navy Echange area.
