I was at 48 Yorktown. That house looks just like ours looked. I sure loved our time there. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you so much! That was my oldest daughter’s first home. And I should mention my first wife was a Navy Corpsman - Lisa Corbett (Rainwater). Good memories. ❤

OMG 😲 we were @ 36 Yorktown 94-97. Greg graduated HS there. Nick had a rodeo winning horse, Tequila , at the stables.
WTH happened? I had no idea 😢

Thank you so much for these videos. We were stationed there from 1995-1998. We have such fond memories of RR and these videos are heartbreaking to see what’s become of this beautiful place. 😢 We lived in Nimitz housing, our kids attended the 2 schools and my husband worked at AWTF. We spent a lot of time at All Hands beach. As a former teacher, the video of the wasted materials at the Middle/High school really bothered me. All the waste of the homes bothers me too. I don’t understand why they couldn’t be used. Thank you for all the videos!
PS Is Lolita’s in Fajardo still around? Also, is Liquillo beach as beautiful as it used to be? Best Pina Colada’s ever.🙂

HI THERE. LUQUILLO BEACH IS AS ALWAYS, BEAUTIFUL. LOLITA'S IS STILL SERVING THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN P.R. MAYBE WHEN YOU COME TO P.R. YOU CAN VISIT LOLITA'S. SORRY I HAVE TO MAKE A CORRECTION. LOLITA'S IS IN LUQUILLO MUNICIPALITY AND NOT IN FAJARDO. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍. I LIVED IN ROOSEVELT ROADS WITH MY PARENTS. I LIVED THERE FROM 1950 TO 1958. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BASE STARTTED THE SAME YEAR I WAS BORN (1943). I WAS 7 YEARS OLD AND LEFT WHEN I WAS 15 YEARS OLD. I'M 80 YEARS OLD. THE HOUSING AREA WAS CALLED 120 HOUSES AND WERE MADE OF WOOD BUT VERY CONFORTABLE. THE HOUSING AREA WAS DEMOLISHED TO MAKE WAY FOR THE RUNWAY EXTENSION.
