Awesome. I spent so much damn time at that beach. My morning run from the BEQ to the beach. Dive into the water, swim to that little island and back. Layout for a bit, get my sneakers back on and run back to the barracks. My morning routine. God I miss that island.... It was always beautiful. Rained for a few minutes, then the sun came out (as did the mi mi's) . Left a mark in my heart. Will always remember Roosey as the best part of my youth... Thanks Sammy!!!
Thanks Sammy. We called that the EM Beach, had a lot of good times there, but I don't remember if the Beach was before the causeway or after it. I do remember on the otherside of the causeway was the Officer's Beach and at the very end of the little island, The Tea House. Thanks again for the videos.
Thanks Sammy. Interesting to hear that the town of Ceiba actually tried to make use of some of the abandoned facilities. I can't understand why more is not done.
Scuba diving was so popular there! Thank you, Sammy! What was the name of the beach that had a seating area with picnic tables? Not Community beach by housing. I remember it being shallow and enclosed enough for the kids to swim. I can't remember what it was called for the love of me! Lol
Sounds like Officer's Beach just down the street from All Hands Beach -protected inlet with maybe 8 cement gazebos. Was just out there 2 monthes ago and it is SOOOOOO overgrown you can not see the beach from the road - so sad. - Wes
Is this what was known as community beach in the in the '70's. If so this is where my husband and I had our wedding reception, with about 200 of our closest friends in 1977.

Yes this is that same beach.
Que es esa pared y estructura turquesa? Hay conglomerados de otros? Existe calidad ambiental en esta región playera? Hay seguridad ahí? Ana
Nada, todo esta abandonado. Lamentable pero asi esta.
Is this the beach next to officer's housing ?
No, this one is at the end of the main peer road.
The beach next to officer's housing was called "Community Beach" when I lived there in the mid 70's - Wes
@@spvideo68 in the 70's we called that "Enlistedman's Beach" - Wes
Clarified - The beach you shot the video = Enlistedman's Beach - Wes
Thanks!
