Thanks for the video. It’s the first time that I’ve ever changed a clutch and without this video I don’t think I would have attempted it. I’m pleased to say all went well and the new clutch is in, and all done on the drive. Thanks again for this very informative video.
Hi Thanks for the video.. During the replacement of my Alto 2010 clutch, I was also struggling with the startermotor bolt from the engine mount side. I found a other way beside the suggested removal of the engine mounting.. Remove the alternator and a wiringloom clamp.. Now you can reach by use of a 30cm long 3/8 extentionbar and a ratchet wrench this difficult bolt. Then after unscrewing the bolt, just slide the bolt, socket, extentionbar aside and leave it there. Then do the clutch job and you can slide in the bolt for fastning again.. easy!! Thanks again
I would like to thank You for this video as this helped me a lot when changing clutch in my wife's car and everything went well. Bit long but this was my first time, my miss is proud,me too ;P On the drive so didn't disconect all pipes with water to avoid mess and I had no mess at all. Thank You once again. Great video, thank you for taking the time to do this. Am I right in thinking the Nissan Pixo has exactly the same engine, clutch and gearbox? Thanks again...👍
Thanks for the upload! Im up to the part of separating the gearbox and ive got it off about half a centimeter but am struggling to separate it further... any tips? Thanks.
Hey there. I replaced a new box and clutch based on this video. Subscribed and liked. Thank u. Only thing I can't select 1st or 2nd. The linkage seems to be slightly different. The bracket has x3 bolts on original box..New one x2 bolts. The linkage area slight different also. Is there a way to adjust the linkage cables? It won't move left but moves right. So I got 3rd 4th 5th and rev. It won't move over to left. Like if no adjustment can I replace the linkage cables and gear stick mechanism? This seems better than taking box off again.guy sent me same ywr and car but seems slight amendment to box
great vid. got a problem w/ my alto cant adjust the clutch cable anymore because it reach the end of the thread adjustment already. might need a clutch kit replacement do you think? my clutch biting point in on the higher side btw.
I followed you link, all good and finished, but one bolt and nut 10m diam 50m long left over, where does it go? Maybe around the starter which is out of sight. can you help. It was stored with the underneath passenger side parts. I have replayed your video and this bolt is not mentioned. My car differs at the steering linkages.,so may be its a different model Thanks for the link. Bob
Thanks for watching. To be honest it's very hard for me to say. If it's just a 10mm bolt dont worri about it. I cant recall taking a 10mm bolt off underneath. I know this sounds bad but you did put al the clutch bolts back on right
@@TEAMR4ULTV I suspect it may be from the starter motor but I cannot even see thr starter motor. The car has gone back to my grand daughter. Have you a service manual with the clutch and gear box displayed. Thanks again for your help. Bob
It's a very nice and helpful video! I am busy replacing the clutch assembly on the ground, and this is going great. I have only a slight hiccup because the bearing inside the flywheel is damaged and needs to be replaced. This is not that hard, but I wanted to ask what torque settings you would use to tighten the flywheel bolts in combination with loctite? Greetings from the Netherlands!
Hi there thanks for watching really appreciate it. I'll be honest get some loctite on them hold the crank pully and just tighten them up with a breaker bar. I don't use the torque wrench
Mate, I just watched this again and am really pleased you put this up. Thanks for simplifying the process and all the added tips. The Oil drain plug is a 10mm square. I just made one out of steel. but yes, you can use a 3/8 inch socket wrench. One thing I really wanted to see was the bolts on the flywheel and the pilot bearing itself. You covered it up with the clutch before showing it. So I have three questions if you don''t mind. 1 - What kind of bolts are used to hold the flywheel on. Do they require a normal hex socket, or a are they some kind of Torx variation? It's just the head I'm concerned about. I'll need to have the right tools on hand when doing the rear crank seal. 2 - Is the pilot bearing mounted in the flywheel or is in mounted into the drive shaft on this car? 3 - I noticed you didn't support the engine when you took the gearbox out, or maybe you did? Should I use a chain or cable to support the engine when I take the gearbox out? Was it necessary on this car? Thanks I have this exact model of vehicle, so I really appreciate you showing this. I thought the process was allot more difficult. As for the mount, I would definitely take it off because of the tight squeeze and the starter motor bolts.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. To be honest I didn't replace the Flywheel, I cant remember what the bolts are. SORRY I used a gearbox lift on the engine to support the engine while taking the gearbox out
@@TEAMR4ULTV Thanks for your reply. No worries about the flywheel bolts. I think they are standard hex. Do need to separate the tie rod ends from the hub or are you just separating the suspension arm ball joint? Thanks again.
Instead of removing the shock absorber bolts to get the driveshafts out. I just gunned the wishbone to subframe front bolt out. There’s enough room to pop the shafts out. Doesn’t work on all cars but did on the Suzuki 😉👍
Hi. Thanks for video this was informative and very useful. I have Suzuki Crossover SX4 2011 with manual transmission. I am stuck on disconnecting the gear select cable from the transaxel. This one is different from the one you have on the Alto. the ending is just a roundish, black piece of plastic with no U shape clip. I have a photo of it but no ways to attach it here. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks again for a great video.

The starter motor bolt is a pain, we did a Splash recently, that's were alot of time was wasted, we took the bracket/mount off.
Hi there ;)Super vid. Can u remember what was the starter motor bolt head size? The one with bad access to get to and u used ratchet spanner? Thanks

Hi. Thanks for video. Just have a question. Why did u take driver side driveshaft off if the clutch is at the other side of a car?
The shafts go into each side of the box at the rear. Both need to come out.....did a Splash a few weeks ago, same set up.

How you managed the one Bolt on the exhaust

Maybe you can replace the selector but I think it's the wrong gearbox and your better off with the right one

Thank you for showing us and also for your hardwork. Keep it up. 👌👍👍
Where are you located and how much does the clutch change cost?
Am in hyde Cheshire. For this job your looking around £400
How many hour it needed to change clucth bearing?
I would recommend that you change the clutch along with the clutch bearing.
Time wise it will take me about about hour and half to take off same to put it back on. But if your doing it for first time give your self about 5hrs
Once you're in there you may as well fit a whole 3 piece kit....silly not to, it's the same amount of time/ stripping down.
Going to try, thanks for this tutorial!
