This video shows you how to install a new wheel hub and bearing on your 2005-2009 Subaru Outback. Not only can a worn wheel bearing or hub be annoying if it is noisy or vibrating, but it can also lead to accelerated wear in other parts, or unsafe driving conditions. Replacing your worn bearing or hub with a quality TRQ part is a safe, smart, decision.
This repair was done on a 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i 2.5L Wagon 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2005 Subaru Outback
    2006 Subaru Outback
    2007 Subaru Outback
    2008 Subaru Outback
    2009 Subaru Outback

Do yourself a favor & don’t listen to the part of the video where she tells you to just “smack it with a hammer” to get the old bearing assembly to come off after the bolts are out. That might work for California or Arizona cars but if you live anywhere with winters & rust & where they spray mag chloride get a bearing puller. Also I’m pretty sure you need to disconnect your ABS module before starting too. This video does not show that…….. learned that the hard way

You’ve probably already heard this lots, but I personally wanted to thank you for this video. It is made exceptionally well! Thank you for the clear instructions, clear socket sizing for bolts and torque specs for ALL potential hardware(talking about the brake caliper bolt torque/s). Wish more videos were like this. Thank you thank you thank you 🙏

I've been wrenching for many years clean video, But I wished you hadn't cut it when you beat the heck out of the hub trying to get it off, you can see it was beat pretty good after you cut and took it off, People need to see that, although I know a much easier way without hitting it with a hammer. All In All Good Job, just wished you showed it all, People really need to know they can get it even if they have an issue like you did. :) Thanks

The bolts will rarely be this easy. I highly recommend 6 point socket on the mounting bolts because they are very easy to strip. And separating from the knuckle also may not be so easy. In some cases it is much easier to remove the whole knuckle for easier access to drive the hub out.

Great Video! Pls need your help as to what specific tools I would need to buy in order to complete this task. I like that tool that makes a sound when you tighten screws or lug nuts.
