The tactical drumming in the background gave this entire "game" an anxiety inducing feeling like the animals were seconds away from getting into a shootout with each other

Lol there's someone else I follow who experienced this "game", and someone in their comments said almost the same thing:
"I love the ominous drums that are constantly droning on in the background, and I love how they're still on while other music is playing. It really adds to the foreboding sense of madness, like we're waiting for a public execution or something."
It's like a scene from a war movie where everybody's goofing around right before the enemy ambushes them
it's the perspective of the enemy as they look through their binoculars
True, it's constant dramatic music even when the characters are just having a conversation, it makes it feel like everything on screen is something to be worried about, it's a very nerve-wracking viewing experience

I appreciate the fact that this game is well-known enough for people to cover it, but just niche enough for people to not know what’s going on in it. Seeing people witness the madness that is animals soccer world for the first time is a beautiful thing.

The random laughing shots in these fucking movies get me every time. "The plane exploded-" cut to laughing rabbit, "-and everyone died;" cut to laughing camel.
The movie feels like they got the voice actor to voice every character in real time.
The makers have done that with their other games so that's not unlikely.

So we have a forest full of wild animals, farm animals, & domestic pets, ranging from absolute Furry to completely non-anthropomorphic. Some wear clothes, some have accesdoris, most are naked. There is no consistency at all.
Dingo pictures in a nutshell basically, the worst is that sometimes they can talk to humans where it makes no sense because its supposed to based on historical events. Like in the Balto rip off.
I love how everyone who watches this is absolutely stunned to say anything. It's so shockingly poorly-made it goes around to being fun to watch

HOLY SHIT, I HAVE SEEN THIS AS A KID! I watched that shitty movie thing on a big custom off brand game tv machine thing in a kid's play corner at a gas station / rest stop on a road trip. Seeing this video just unlocked memories tucked away to the deepest corners of my mind.

after watching this movie(?) again many years later, having gained more exposure in the art world, this thing feels almost like some weird art film than a cash-grab. or a video a kid would make in their room with a mix-match collection of their toys.
it really is a mix of both when you take it all into account. it's a cheap cash-grab, except it has literally nothing to do with any actual disney story unlike something like ratatoing, and the fact its all 1 guy voicing everything combined with how sloppily and hastily he delivers lines with no actual emotion really is like a kid making it up on the spot while playing with their toys.
finally! i never thought i would get another chance to see Animal Soccer World , the best animated movie ever. The Characters still have a place deep within my heart, krümel, harry, the bremen town musicians, the hooligans
I've been watching some really old, 6 or 7 year old, vinesauce videos recently. So when I saw this I assumed it had to be another old one.
It’s been interesting looking back on earlier videos on these games. Caddicarus basically made Phoenix Games infamous, but the ironic part of that is that the company itself was responsible for, like…10% of their content. That basically being the copy pasted mini games with the jester character. (And of course the hideous box art)
This and Dalmatian’s 3 for example were created by Dingo Pictures, an infamous bootleg animation company that created tons of travesties and future memes. But the other kinds like Snow White, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan were actually English versions of polish educational games released on CD-Rom.
Insane to think these guys who basically just made the lowest effort content and slapped on some Sony licensing stickers got to be called one of the worst game developers in the industry. Probably more credit than they deserve.
It's like a really crap version of the football game with animals segment from the movie 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'. Now that's a fun movie.

The reason that the background music are mixed up is because this cartoon is redubbed, which the original dub is German.

Ah, Phoenix Games and Dingo Pictures, I own several of their PS1... "games", including Lion and the King. I found it in a used game shop like 15 years ago for £1.50, best 1.50 I've ever spent on a game.
There's a very simple explanation for the stupid anxiety drums. It's one of Dingo Pictures' stock songs they reuse all the time, and this particular dub just silenced the audio of the original and put that track there to substitute background music. IIRC they've done this at least twice, with two different tracks.
Hearing those drums I am just waiting for the headless AAAAAAA bombers to show up out of a corner like it's Serious Sam

I think Animal Soccer World was my first introduction to the Dingo Pictures filmography, and in a video that was titled something like "Top 10 worst video game cutscenes", where it was #1 no less. And considering that (including this) I can count 6 videos since 2013 about ASW, it might've also been others' introductions to Dingo as well…
