Sorry for Kojima fans but this style traces back at least to Golgo 13 starting in 1968. WMD plotlines like this started getting popular in plots due to gas attacks back in World War I&II. These ideas only seem new or niche because you are babby.

Megami I think they were trying very hard to make some kind of masterpiece. I mean, look at the characters. We have rip off snake, aeris, Barrett and Rebecca from res e. Whoever made this probably had good taste in games but doesn’t know what actually makes them good, or the dev team didn’t have the resources.
I agree, it definitely seems like they mashed together a lot of thigns they loved in games without regard for conext. Reminds me of Bob's Game in that sense

@@01Zipang It really depends on who developed the game, they're all published by D3 Publisher but are developed by many different companies. Also, a good chunk of the 1500 series is really decent compared to the 2000 series lol

For anyone that's curious, the bizarre "diabetes music" from the Japanese Alice in Wonderland thing was supposed to be coming from the girl's mobile phone, which the rabbit had apparently stolen.
Which made me suspect that Vinny actually knows japanese. Diegetic music means the music corresponds/changes to the scene and he doesn't know that its from in-scene cellphone unless he knows Japanese. But thats all just a theory. A BABBY GAyMe ThORey

There's one more game we need to see from D3 Publisher: All-Star Fighters. It's a mashup fighting game featuring characters from the budget games featured across both streams. I think the only one that isn't featured is The Sniper, sadly.

Metorpolismania was one of the absolute favorite game of my now dead mother.. she played it very often and very long. It can be a very fun game and I still have the copy of the game now... Good memories!

Ok so diegetic music (or sound) is the one that is on the filmic space, like a radio, car noises, animals etc, things we can see in the video. And non diegetic (rather extradiegetic) is sound that is added as background effects later in the post production, it's mostly music.
Context if you want it: Simple series was a series of game published by D3, mostyl in japan (but some came out in the west), that helped small 1 to 10 people team publish games that otherwise wouldn't be picked up. The series run from the PS1 days to the 3DS. Then it was dropped thanks to Steam and Itch gaining traction even in Japan circa 2015. Hey, i have to be true to my name.
Also i can't wait for Vinny to play FFVII, i've been saying it already, but prepare for elongated cutscenes Vinny. Prepare. Mentally.
Now, if there's a LIDL version of Kiryu, I don't want to imagine a LIDL version of *Lost Paradise* would look like, Spinshiro would lose all of his abilities and body structure!

I’m actually pretty happy to see Vinny play Metropolismania. The sequel is actually one of my favorite games for the PS2. It’s definitely rough at the start I won’t deny that but, when you figure out how to play and have a good strategy it’s quite fun. I would be totally down for a remake or reimagining of the series if that ever comes...
But, probably not.

nabeel box I’d imagine that was from the IGN review. They gave the game a terrible review of a 2.1/10. Just looking at the review I can definitely understand why some would assume the game is crap. Trust me though, that review was simply not well made, the person that reviewed it made a bunch of jokes and didn’t play much of the game at all.
In my personal opinion it is a nice improvement over the first game adding better graphics, additional customization including your character and house, new industries including fishing and farming along with many new buildings.
Probably the biggest piece of evidence I have that discredits IGN’s review is that they gave the first game a 6.5/10 and many of their complaints were fixed in the sequel so, by all means it should of had a higher score.
@@MayorZane Yea i just saw the gameplay of the sequel, it definitely looks better with that cell shaded outlines look and has a really nice soundtrack too.
nabeel box Absolutely! If you like what you saw with what Vinny played during his short time with the first game then you should definitely consider giving Metropolismania 2 a try. I even have a few tips if you’re interested as I will admit I did get a bit stuck on the 5th stage due to not preparing properly.

I can't believe Oneechanbara (Zombie Zone) eventually because a somewhat competent series after a start this rough. (Not exactly GOOD, but competent, Z2 and Origin are at least entertaining)
Of course Earth Defense Force was kind of the same way. Monster Attack is Garbage, but the last few entries are actually pretty fun. Also a D3 published series, so they did have a couple of winners.

Holy shit, I never realized I owned a D3 Publisher game until I saw that zombie one. I have an Xbox 360 game that has that same cowboy hat wearing girl in it. Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad. I bought it for a dollar at Gamestop a few years ago out of curiosity. It's a terrible, terrible game.
I remember seeing that game all the time in the discount section at my local gamestop.
When I saw those games, my first thought was “Huh. These look an awful lot like that Onechanbara game I would always see when I got bored and looked around on the Xbox game store” and now I know why.
