  • Clean Reach is advertised as a "revolutionary" household tool that takes the bending out of everyday cleaning. Does it work, or is it just a glorified sponge on a stick?

I love the idea of not having to bend to clean, especially in the bathtub. But I do wish they made it possible for a magic eraser to be attached to it, that would be awesome.

Oh yeah. My back hurts so bad after I scrub the soap scum out of the tub. I’m one of 4 capable people who uses the bathroom but I’m also the only one who doesn’t want to live upon soap scum and urine. If people would just rinse out the shower and wipe their mess then I would have to deal with bad back pain as often as I do

From your review, I would probably try it. It looks like it simplifies the hardest part of cleaning that some of your traditional methods would take more time and more paper towels, rags, or just more elbow grease. Even if you have to get some of the stuff with a paper towel, it looks like you'd use significantly less and would be cleaner. That's my take on your review. Thank you again.

I have something similair that I often use in place of a mop. It too is basically a sponge on a stick, but it bends in the middle with a remote contraption to operate allowing you to wring it out and clean it easily. It also has a much larger surface area so it cleans quicker. Being rectangular, it can get into most corners no problem. I imagine there'd be some tight places and awkward corners the Clean Reach would be able to do better, but overall my larger and easier to clean one seems more practical.

I love mine. I wash walls down with it and cleans baseboards too. I occasionally will stop, rinse it out, then continue.

I have the one on the box. I’ve only ever used it on my bathtub and shower. It’s held up. Still using the same sponge.

I'm thinking besides pet hair (I also have that problem!) you have a lot of dust in your city. Best to feather dust all that you can or use a vacuum cleaner hide to suck it out of corners, off window sills and the like. Spraying any type of fluid onto something dusty is going to create mud. I know from experience. You've also reminded me that I need to get off my butt and clean house!

It's true that we do have a lot of dust here in Las Vegas, and a cleaner like this will quickly be covered in it.

I've considered posting a video on that very topic. For recent products, it would probably be a three-way tie between Miracle Bamboo Cushion, EverBrite, and Comfort Click Belt, because I use those every day.

Gosh it was super difficult to attach the sponge onto the stick (not the Velcro bit the plastic bit)

Seems like more trouble than it's worth. Except for the top of the door frame, that was pretty good. But I never think about dusting up there since I can't see it. Ha

I suppose you can always tie a rag into the sponge to pick up the stuff left behind. But not exactly easier than just using your hand and a rag in the first place

I used my Clorox Bathroom Scrubber the same way. Just stick a good microfiber cloth on it. Not so pleasant music. It’s not jolly. The music is suitable for a victim reliving a traumatic event, going slowly in a desert.

my boss brought this clean reach so we can clean and scrub the walls but omg it doesnt work well at. the first day we used it the sponge kept falling off over and over again and plus you cant scrub hard. The scub pads dont last very long either and its not the easy to clean so you can resuse it again. I wouldnt buy this product its a waste of money cause it doesnt do its job.

I haven't had the pads fall off, but I agree that they don't last as long as they should. Thanks for the comment!

It doesn’t seem like a terrible product, but clumps of hair like that makes me extremely nauseous, so I wouldn’t be able to use it. My husband may not hate it but I personally wouldn’t be able to use it.
