If you want boost then just keep the B engine in your car. They're strong engines. The advantage K series have are headflow and vvt but 400hp boosted b series are a dime a dozen. Who actually wants more than 300hp in a front wheel drive car from the 90's anyways. Let's be real.
K series are also square engines which means there is room to increase stroke for my displacement. B series are under square which means you need a bigger and reinforced cylinder walls. K can displace up to 2.7L with its deck height. That's a lot more than a B20.

I´ve had two b20z1 setups, both of them cracked a sleeve after a while, so personally i cant really recommend it if you want to go high compression and run it safe. I have a Golden eagle sleeved block, so i dont have that problem anymore :) .My previous b18c6 type-r engine with stock bottomend and pro2 cams made over 200whp (226hp). And it was pretty similar to my B20 at higher rpm´s. But b20 is very strong at the low to mid. But an experienced B20 tuner might do the trick to keep it safe. Setup is Eagle rods, JE pistons, GE block, Pro2 cams, stock ITR head and a lot more.

Question my vtec normally activates at 6000 rpms. My vtec won't engage and my revs are limited to 6300 than i loose all power. Like a fuel cut off or something. Any ideas? I have video on my channel on the issue.
+KarpdiumOfficial A couple things can cause this. I'd take your vtec solenoid off and clean it up(the screen gets gunky sometimes). 2 check all your grounds, 3 make sure you're getting proper oil pressure. 4 could be an ecu issue (Example: If you have Launch control and your speedo isn't working, your car won't rev passed your LC RPM due to the car thinking it's in neautral)

Yes, it could have reached close to 260kmh, but im getting outside my powerband. And its not good to stay close to 9000rpm for too long with a pretty new rebuilt engine.
Supersupra87 yup this spec is probably fast and can use in circuit,(cct) it can sprint more than original power,the vtec can go 300kmh but need to change the spec into a drag spec or original spec but the engine need more power like in this video.but it can't spirnt like this if the original spec but it can reach 300kmh
That must be a fuel killswitch im assuming thats why it takes so long to start? thats how i like to start my car, let it build some oil pressure for a few seconds before it gets fuel

Thanks. I have no idea how much hp, i basically re-used an old tune from my old B20 setup and re-tuned it a bit on the street. I wont have any dyno results until 2015. But my estimated guess is around 230-240hp. :)

Thats why you put a b16 head on the b20, with a port and polish. Itbs, cams, skim the block to 12:1 compression. Boom diggidy, 9krpm and 230hp

Im not sure why, but it always happened when on trackdays (not dragracing). My guess is that the Rpm limit was a bit too high :)

Why did it take so long to start? Mine literally starts on the first crank in 80 degrees or 20 degrees
Its was a bad crank timing setting in hondata, its was fixed later on.

If i remember correctly, 5th is from s9b gearbox. Euro/uk sedan B18c4.

Actually i dropped the clutch too fast and killed the engine, haha. When it happens, its a bit difficult to start. (E85)
