If this is introduced and BBC demands a mandatory payment for something I don’t use or want, I shall send them an equivalent invoice for parking on my driveway 🤣. They may not want or use it, but in the same way - it will be there for their use should they so desire.
I will be with the majority on here and deduct it from my council tax. One thing we can ALL do is go to our council meetings and just scrutiny the proceedings and object to what we don’t like.
they need 4 flat car tyres
Council tax is a scam. The money is collected locally but all goes to central government who then decide how much they will givecback to your woke council. 90% of the money goes to local social services. Maybe 0.5% goes to bins, lights and potholes.
If they tried that enough people would need to stand their ground, refuse to pay and it becomes non enforceable. This would be extortion, why should we be forced to pay for the government's propaganda arm we don't even watch? I've always said their only genuine concern is people cancelling their TV licence, their ideal solution is to force payment.
regardless of consumption.... I have 0 consumption and I don't see the need to pay for it.
We all need to band together and protest this at all costs.
And if they succeed in bringing in digital currency, it won't matter how much you protest. They'll deduct any amount they like, and you'll be powerless to stop them. Its already happening to pensioners who have paid for their state pension all of their life, and now find it's classed as a benefit by the corrupt government. This gives them the power to deduct from your pension like it or lump it. It'll be the same with digital currency, don't let it happen.
The state pension has always been classed as a benefit. They can't deduct anything from it without some kind of court order.
@@eartheart3694The state pension has always been classed as a benefit.
On the second part, you will have to provide further details. The government can't arbitratrarily remove part of the state pension.
Outrageous! The fact that I still need a licence to watch something live on TH-cam that has nothing to do with the BBC - IS beyond me.
You don't. The communications act 2003 make no mention of 'live TV'. It says you need a licence to watch 'broadcast' TV. TH-cam, like all streaming services, is not broadcast but sent point to point, so no licence needed.
Imagine, Virgin media and Sky telling us, "You pay for our services and programs if you use them or not".
Still won't pay if it taxation
They can take their 'universal levy' and stuff it. I won't pay it!
So, taking money without asking for a service I don't use. To me that is theft. And of course if it comes into force and I refuse to pay it. I will be prosecuted for trying to stop the aforementioned theft!
Refuse to pay 100% of council tax completely if it ever happens
That must happen
@@anthonynewman4039you need to pay council tax
All who do not require a license. If they add it on to council tax, simply deduct the added amount from each payment and refuse to pay for what you don't use.
There is no law that can 'force' a person to pay for something they don't use. And if they do try and force this, make it law, I'm sure they will face the biggestpush back they've ever seen and rightly so.
They are stealing peoples money !
Nothing new there then
All tax is theft, we know this but people continue to allow the criminals to take from them. Only 'the people' can change the world.
They are deleting comments my friend, trying to control conversation. the lowlifes cowards who hide behind algorithms.
They are deleting comments my friend.
It's all a load of BS we're gonna have no say especially if they make it a tax/levy! 🤬
If this bs happens I'll be taking part in a protest for the first time
I'll go to jail before I give them a penny
See you there
same, maybe we can share a cell
Yeah keep me a bunk 😂
You already do if you are a taxpayer as the BBC gets £100m a year out of general taxation
There is no way in hell they would allow this.
They wont get away with linking it to Council tax. If they try any kind of compulsory levy regardless of consumption
there will be trouble.
Never, never, never - scrap the licence fee and make it subscription only !!!
Pay your council tax ..Minus the price of your tv licence..Sorted..
That’s me I’m gonna knock that money off Council tax I will not pay it. I don’t watch it don’t wanna watch it I refuse to pay for something I disagree with
Good luck with that.
Unfortunately, and wrongly, such a report from the cronies and the crazies in the House of Lords, is likely to carry some weight. I reckon we are all being put on notice that this is likely to be the "solution" to the BBC's funding problems. If it happens, stand by for even more dire "entertainment" output and even more biased news and current affairs programmes.

👍👍👍
ALERT: When i first watched this video, comments etc where unavailable? Keep up your great work fella..
Unless it actually is deducted from earnings I won't be paying it and I'll bet many thousands more folk won't either.
I thought they may lean towards this method. Not watched TV in years. Certainy not the BBC. Saved me a fortune.
Looks like we're all going to court then.
Keep me a seat 😂
In my whistle and flute flying a massive middle finger 🖕 😂.
Will I need to pay if I go to prison? Because if they try and force me to pay that's exactly where I will be going!
Me too.
havent pd for 7 yrs my tv still works without this bit of paper, and they will never get in my house
I would rather leave my house and live in a tent or my car, if they dare to do this universal levy on households.
But shouldn't a universal fee be used for something used universally?
Would muslim households be expected to pay a universal tax to support UK pig farmers?
😂😂😂spot on!
good point....I am Jewish
Ha ha I spat my coffee out and nearly choked 😂 thanks for that, best laugh Iv had all month 🙏
UK Pig farmers can get upto £25,000 animal health and welfare grant paid out of general taxation as well as £684 vet grant.
I don't have a TV so this is just the power .all the very best John
Its double dipping into the taxpayer coffers. Britain is about taxing the citizens into utter poverty.
I won't be paying end of.
We won’t be able to make time to watch anything. To busy working till we drop
its corrupt ,and should be stopped now and not be allowed to continue.
If they put it on the council tax I’ll stop paying that too.
tell them your living room is a prayer room and mossis dont pay look it up
@@eileenspamer-kw3kz
I looked it up, it's not true. Try looking at the legislation instead of Facebook posts.
@@eileenspamer-kw3kz I’m getting to the point where I don’t care anymore. What are they going to do? Put me in jail for a month? Guess what.. I still won’t pay it. It takes a lot of patience but you can become council tax free. Obviously they won’t take your bins but that’s about it as far as I can tell I get for my £200 a month.
The head of NYCC is on a salary of £200,000. I know where my money is going and why they hike it by around £20 a year.
We're taxed more than enough thank you very much!! The BBC can run ads like everyone else and stand on their own feet.
I hope single person households wont be paying the same as multiple person households. Load of rubbish.
Here we hardly get any Freeview channels, probably 5! No way am I paying.
Or the rich people
So they're going to make us pay for something even if we don't use it? It will never fly.
I'd just deduct the amount from my council tax and not pay it, if they challenge it, I'll stop paying tax altogether. They can take me to court etc but they will get the finger. I'm absolutely sick of this country and my tax paying for things I don't use or need like migrants, police, NHS etc. I pay private medical. It's faster and a way better service
Bottom line is why the hell should the general public pay for the upkeep of a television company? It’s disgusting
Its a zombie corporation parasiting off all.
Make the people dreaming these things up watch Eurovision and latest Dr Who on a continuous loop and reassess how much access to BBC programs is worth.
It doesn’t take rocket science, to see that adverts are a must!!! Thanks for sharing with us Jon 👍👍👍
Being a cynic, I tend to think that whoever is in power in 2027 will just continue the licence fee as it is and leave it for someone else to sort out in 2037
I knew it, I said this over a year ago about it being added to our Council Tax, I bloody knew it... 😡😡😡
If that happens we'll have to have a poll tax moment!!
Yes yes yes,It’s about time we all put our foot down.If it goes on council tax, stop paying that as well.
I will not pay for something I don’t need or use.
I told you the way it is now is the best. You don't pay.
again if you dont want it they still want your money,
there crooks
What happens to those who don't pay council tax ?
Will they get free access to live TV ?
Bound to.
Never pay your council tax by direct debit
They’ll be charging every non driver the ved tax for using the pavement next
Pavements are paid out of the Council Tax, not VED, so yes non-drivers do pay for the pavement.
Never have and they can fk off if they ever think they are ever getting any of MY cash!
