Another morning, another new adventure another great video by Molly and team. Nice way to get up the morning with a cup of coffee with the number one You Tube video 🙂
Everybody picks up on some detail of a video like this. My attention was drawn at about 16:05. You unlocked the two brake pedals. In the early 50s the tractors had brake pedals on each side. By mid-50s the tractors had both brake pedals on the right side. And they had a locking mechanism just like you were using. The bar between the two pedals insured that they worked in unison. For all the changes in tractors since the mid 50s, all the technology, it is interesting to see that the same brake locking mechanism is still in place. Thank you again for another great video.
That’s interesting! I’ll have to look at our two old tractors to see where the breaks are! Thank you very much for commenting! I like to do the same thing with minor details like that! Have a wonderful day! And thank you for always watching!
@@BellsFarming One of my earliest tractor memories was being "brakeman." I grew up on a seed farm in OR. In the Fall, we planted seed (turf/forage) with a grain drill, pulled by a Case DC3. This was a tricycle model, running WOT, third gear. The pattern was "racetrack" (Counter-clockwise), with left turns. I rode on the fender, left side, and pushed the left wheel turning brake on the corners to make the corner tight. The two front wheels wanted to push badly when pulling a load, and making the corner WOT. The left wheel brake pedal was on the left side; right wheel brake on the right side. DC3 was 1939 - 1952; ours was probably mid-1940s model. I was probably 8-9 years old at the time. The DC3 was my first field tractor, 11 years old or so, pulling disk or harrow/roller. Later, we had a Case VA, standard front axle. It was a 1945-1956 vintage. Ours was probably about 1950 model. It had both brakes on the right side, with locking mechanism to be able to work both brakes together. A short time later we had a Cockshutt 40. It too had both brakes on the right side, with locking mechanism. And, after that, Case 400, again both brakes on the right side. P.S. I was born in 1941.
Electric grease guns are great. I grew up with the hand pump, good for the forearms and hand, but man you can really dispense some grease with the electric ones.
There was a video yesterday by a farmer in Minnesota about his field that is all rocks like the one that you use for corn. Same latitude, same glacier, same rocks left.
Hahah you should have seen me yesterday! I might have been the worst so far this year! Hahah I love watching Taylor! I don’t think she watches us though.
So i went by the Lewiston farm this morning on my way to make a delivery and saw your tractor out there. For being as stuck as you were the other day it's not as dirty as i thought it would be. Fields look good. I'll be stopping by the store to pick up some of your corn this year as i'm told it's the best.
Awesome! Yes m working in that field today, gotta smooth it out for sweet corn! I hope you come by in august! We really do have the best corn around. We might even have some end of July if things keep going like they have been! Have a wonderful day! ( tractor did not get a bath yet) haha
My dog would walk in front of the tractor all day during the potato harvest . I would toot the horn and he would run back to the tractor and bite the front wheel . His name was Spud . Those stones remind me of something that was deposited maybe by Glaciers eons ago vs river rock that would be more rounded from rolling along thru the river . Anyway another fascinating day in the life of Molly and Shane . I can tell the weather is changing , no Hoody for Shane . I also click on your 10 day weather just to see what you are experiencing as you complete spring planting . I know you are busy , thanks for letting us tag along ...

You have the same Just Do It Attitude towards working, especially something you've never experience in your past life. Your work ethics is what all young kids should follow.
Thank you! I really love learning new things! And take a lot of pride in being able to work independently! I think pride is something that has gone away. Younger generations just don’t seem to pride themselves on the same things these days. Thank you very much for your kind comments! I always enjoy seeing comments from you!

your beating yourself up to much on getting stuck. No one got hurt and no damage done, its all part of learning what you and tractor can and can't do. Good video
Hey Molly! I sincerely hope that you did not have to endure a lot of heat from the other guys about burying the tractor but it is really great to see your John Deere ABOVE ground again! Your freshly tilled and planted farm fields really look beautiful. I have never witnessed a dog that follows a tractor in the fields like that. What an incredible dog! Another great job on the video and an even greater job catching that loose attachment pin! Take care!
Hey Molly, that is some sandy soil you are working in. Wish we had some of that. Ours is black silt clay with no rocks, holds moisture well. A person needs patience with these soil not to work them too wet or they turn to rocks when they dry out. It’s been wet here in the northern plains again, have not planted in a week.
Yes the guys have been working educating me one different types of soil we have in our fields, and when it’s good to break up clumps and and they will turn to super hard lumps that never go away. There is so much to the soil then meets the eye! Thank you for commenting and shave a wonderful day farming! Hopefully it starts to dry up for you, we had some really nice days here the last couple days in the 80’s!
Good morning Molly and Shane, always nice to watch your videos. I knox about them rocks. Every time i dig a post hole i find a rock the size of a compact car. Lol. That was cute how shane blocked the camera i wonder why haha. Thanks Molly
Great video! I'm glad you found bent pin on the three point. That rocky field, I hope it didn't give you trouble with your ripping claws. I noticed I lost the ✋️"video feed"🤚for a moment. Darn internet! 😊 Great planting season so far, very productive with tillage, planting, and lots of good weather too. Thank you very much for sharing. I'm always excited to see what awaits on the next adventure. Have a great day. 😊👍👍
Hey Brad! I did have some big rocks come up this year while ripping! Had to move them with the skidder or loader. They were in a couple different fields. Thank you so much for always watching and commenting! Have a wonderful day! 💚🚜😁👍🏻🌞
Research shows that farmers who are very grease conscious usually over grease to the detriment of some parts. Those who aren't greaae conscious trade equipment in very often. 😁😁. Good work!
Hahahah yes I know what you’re saying! We have a little bit of both those situations going on. Hahaha hopefully meet in the middle somewhere 😆have a wonderful day!
Hi cutie, just wanted to say hi to you and Shane bf the sun gets up. I'm out in my garden hoing 640 feet of silver queen corn. Yall have a most bodacious day.
Hi Molly, you can raise and lower that one arm manually. Halfway up the arm pull that wire looking thing out away from the lift arm and use it to spin the arm turn buckle to either raise or lower the arm to line up for the pin.
Another great video.I look forward to life on the farm in each episode and all that you do and your dedicated team.Great catch on the pin and the battery powered grease gun is so handy. Watching from a far away little place in northern Canada near 100 Mile House,B.C.
Hello madam, you are a versatile person and it is nice to see that women are as excellent in agriculture as men. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and make mechanical repairs on your various agricultural machines. I also like the fact that you don't feel like you have to attract clicks to your channel like you can sometimes see on others hosted by women. Regarding the (few) stones which litter the ground of your fields, you should come and see here in Belgium in the Hesbaye region which is the "granary" of the Walloon region, many fields are covered by millions of flint stones of all sizes and except error on my part this does not prevent the cultivation and harvesting of potatoes on thousands of hectares. I wish you great success in your work.
Hey there thank you very much for watching! Yes this river bed soil is very nice. We are very lucky to have the land we do. I can only imagine what you have depth me. Do the potatoes get skinned up from all the rocks? Sounds sharp! Need gloves to pick those rocks!
Good Morning Molly - Its obvious that you are extremely multi-talented - now if you can cook we can get married - (ha ha- chuckle chuckle 👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊👌👌👌👌😘😘😘😘) You Go Girl.
I complement you on your learning style. You make it fun for us in the virtual buddy seat. I think rocks are universal to farming just like mud. I enjoy your channel as you try and connect with us which is something large operation can’t do. Be safe and God Bless.
Thank you very much Joe! I appreciate your comment! I do really love interacting with you guys. I’m really glad you enjoy the videos and get to come with me on my little work adventures 🚜💚
Very enjoyable watching the videos you put on here. I learn a lot about farming and have a new found appreciation for your career. I think if I gave my wife a grease gun…she would have a puzzled look on her face😂. Keep doing what you’re doing👍
Molly and Shane! Another great video! Denali will be fine, she knows what she’s doing lol. As for the field you got stuck in, would the rocks you pull out from other fields be a good fill in for the sandy soils to bulk it up? If you can make it less sandy it might make it easier to drive in that part of the field in the future. Great progress in the fields! Thanks!
Hey Jon, we are filling the wash outs currently, and as soon as we can get in there to work the ground we will move some of the soil back to where it belongs on the upper potion of the hill. Have a great day! Thank you always for watching and commenting!

By the way I like to see more bumps 🫢🫢🫢
Hahaha
Hi there. I grew up in Ireland. Did a lot of farming with potatoes. Thank you for the beautiful videos. Brings back lots of memories. 🙏❤️🙏
Good morning when grease your tractor the older ones had fittings on the water pump
Good morning molly. Just the video I needed to watch at breakfast.
Oh good! Have a great day!
@@BellsFarming you too.
Love you guys so sweet the both of you
Thank you! Have a wonderful day!
Good morning from north of the 49th!
Another great day out in the fields.
PS...you are wicked with a grease gun. 😅
Have a wonderful day ! 🌞
Good morning Molly and Shane, always nice to watch your videos. I knox about them rocks. Every time i dig a post hole i find a rock the size of a compact car. Lol. That was cute how shane blocked the camera i wonder why haha. Thanks Molly
Thank you Chris!
Thanks! Greasing and pins so overrated! Nice to catch those little hiccups
Omg you are so awesome thank you for your kindness! Have a wonderful day! 😁🚜💚🚜🫶
Morning, the pin damage probably result of getting stuck and pulling it out.
Enjoy your videos.
Thank you!
Oh and yes! I noticed there was an add placed at that exact time hahahah
@@BellsFarming you're welcome. I love this channel. Very informative and detailed. Thank you for sharing, and have a great day. 😊🚜🌞👍👍
@@BellsFarming hahaha, imagine that. 😄🚜👍👍
Good Morning you two. We are rained out so I am land forming with the excavator and stone picking
Good morning Colin! I watched your last video! The land is looking no my really good! Have a wonderful day!
Hi cutie, just wanted to say hi to you and Shane bf the sun gets up. I'm out in my garden hoing 640 feet of silver queen corn. Yall have a most bodacious day.
Have a wonderful day!! It’s gonna be hit here today like 88 🌞😁🚜
Molly you have the cutest dimples accenting that big beautiful smile. Your husband is a lucky man.
Thank you very much! 😁
Hi Molly, you can raise and lower that one arm manually. Halfway up the arm pull that wire looking thing out away from the lift arm and use it to spin the arm turn buckle to either raise or lower the arm to line up for the pin.
Thank you! Learn something new all the time!
Also, when you put those clinch pins in push them all the way until the big loop is in the end
I was taught different, thanks for the input.
Me too. For twenty years i was losing pins. Then I was shown the correct way and never had one fall out since.
Hi Molly and Shane. You guys should build a small a-Frame cabin there.
That’s what I’m saying!!!! Sawmill hint hint!
@@BellsFarming I like your way of thinking lol
Great music headed for Hall farms
Another great video.I look forward to life on the farm in each episode and all that you do and your dedicated team.Great catch on the pin and the battery powered grease gun is so handy. Watching from a far away little place in northern Canada near 100 Mile House,B.C.
Thank you very much! Someday I would love to go to visit BC. Have a wonderful day!
Durham ...flippin heck thats a long way , NE UK lol , sorry England ...smiles
Hahaha 🚜💚
I just found your channel last week and subscribed. Added bonus is seeing your Akita Molly. I have four Akitas.
Oh awesome! We have 4 also! They are the best breed 🐕🐕🐕🐕
Good Morning Molly - Its obvious that you are extremely multi-talented - now if you can cook we can get married - (ha ha- chuckle chuckle 👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊👌👌👌👌😘😘😘😘) You Go Girl.
Thank you!!!! Have a great day!
@@BellsFarming Thanks for your reply. Through your videos I for the first time seeing Maine. Thank you.
Thanks for another cool video Molly ! 🐾🚜
Thank you very much!
Sitting up higher...AND rocking a sweater, as usual! 😊
Oh it was hot today!
2 other farms I follow, in Pa., have ROCKS!! When they show us their fields, sometimes we can't see dirt!!
Omg! I guess we are very lucky!
Your dog must be super fit.
Hahah a couple of them are. Two are in the chubby side 🐕🐕🐕🐕
Hey we wanted to watch!
😘😘 tell Shane!
Very enjoyable watching the videos you put on here. I learn a lot about farming and have a new found appreciation for your career.
I think if I gave my wife a grease gun…she would have a puzzled look on her face😂. Keep doing what you’re doing👍
Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoy the videos! Thank you for always commenting too!
'R' Clip 👍
🥔👑You reached 22k from 21k in only 4 days so at that rate you will reach 50k on my birthday 9/8/2024. I knew there would be an exponential increase but that exceeds my expectations by far! 😲
Stuck tractor lol. I have a few good performing videos, hahaha I’ll remember your birthday!
I am so glad there is a sequel to the tillage and chainsaw movie line, it couldn't end how it did in the last video, too many cliff-hangers and unanswered questions
Hahahahahhaha, wait till part 3!!
Thank you! I’m working on the next one!
@@BellsFarming I'm waiting to see it, but enjoy a little time off, it's friday of what I believe is a long weekend (If farmers get those too?) down there
COOL GREASER.OOPS GOOD THINGYOU FOUNT THE PIN .GUN SOUND EMPTY.I WAS THERE WITH YOU I THINK.
Thanks dad! I might have been lol maybe that’s why it was taking a long time hahaha
I think many are unhappy about the seat fix. LOL
Actually…. I bounce way more with the air ride lol.
@@BellsFarming 👍
R-clips are a no no on three point linkages, you need fold over lynch pins.
Yes I do! I’m learning all these little things!
I've watched some farmers in Minnesota using the Mandako Storm in 20 to 30 foot widths and it turns corn ground into planter ready fields. Great video.
Thank you!
Heymol what kinda laundry detergent u use it's gotta be the best .. u ain't afraid to get in there !! Have a great day!! Thanks bell farms crew!!
Hahah my laundry… I think my washer would turn any white shirt all kinda colors lol. But I’m not afraid to get dirty that’s for sure!
In my youth, we'd have to pick rocks on a potato farm before planting, LOL, Jack, RI, USA
Yes. Picking rocks. We still have to pick ricks, but it’s not too bad in the potato and sweetcorn fields.
