Does it support Chrome OS? I have a chromebook and I really would like the option to work on it. I'm unsure since on the Kamvas Pro 12 and 13, on Amazon, the description was wrong about it supporting Chrome (They confirmed that in the Q&A section and some reviews said the same thing). On the Kamvas Pro 16 they said it does actually support Chrome and also confirmed it in Q&A but I just want to double-check before buying.
Good to see a review of this item by a fellow who is actually a long-term user, not just someone who was sent the tablet by Huion for a review, where they just used it for a week (if that) and rattled off some tech specs.
I agree, and would add that most review sites copy Amazon reviews and base their recommendations on this. Poorly phrased English from bots translating from Chinese accompanying compiled Amazon reviews isn’t really getting the information that we need to make a decision about whether to,buy.
Been watching a bunch of reviews on these tablets as I've been torn between the 16" variants and this was definitely my favorite thus far. And always appreciate people reviewing a well used product rather than one pulled out of the box and dabbled with. Also, just started watching Invincible myself, good stuff. Will be checking out your other content for sure!

I have the HUION Kamvas pro 13. I also have a Wacom intuos pro medium for backup in case my HUION *"breaks down"* like so many reviewers say it would within every 6 months or whatever. So far it been a year and a half and my HUION Kamvas pro 13 is still alive and working. Yes I do have my ups and downs with it but it still works like the day I got it. So I am not complaining.
The pro 13 is the same one I've used for the last 4 years! for the 'breaks down' bit, my tablet did stop showing the screen less than a year in but that worked fine for me still (after this maybe i accidentally messed with the brightness lol). It's only recently that it broke down fully and I decided to upgrade.
Everybody: "Don't use those sketchy generic metal vesa mounts that are sold on those sketchy art hacks stores, they could ruin your valuable tablet" This chad: "Here is my tablet on some cardboard I had laying there"
I might be a few months late but this is really helpful. Decided it was time to switch from my tablet/monitor and get a surface tablet and I was so unsure about spending the money, but this defiently convinced me. Thank you!

If you still use this tablet and you're still looking to do animation with some extra space? You can super sample your resolution. I have a Kamvas 22 Plus and I have it super sampled to 1440p which really helps with the work space. If you have an nvidia card it's as simple as going to the gpu control panel & putting in a custom resolution. Things still look sharp & work really well. Just make sure you restart your tablet driver and software after or your cursor will never line up. But do that once and you're good.
@@InnermanArts No problem, I had the same issue as you. I tried the animation in CSP and was like- yikes holy crap this is a lot. Made worse if you make use of CSP's option to split the layer tab into 2 sections that can scroll independently- something I can't work without anymore it's so bloody useful.

Was torn between this and the XP-Pen as a cheaper alternative to a wacom screen tablet, but I think I've heard enough positives about the huion at this point (sans tech support) that Im gonna lean this way. Plus it's on sale right now for under $300, so.....if it doesn't work out, I'll just skip groceries for a couple weeks and live on pantry staples, haha.

I just bought the Kamvas 16 2021 and I don't even know what's wrong since I cant use my pen. On the Manual, the USB port is just used for DATA transfer omg. I didn't know you need to plug it in to be able to use your pen!

i have been using huion kamvas pro 16 since february 2021, how come yours don't get the same problem as mine😢 i've been searching for a solution but still can't find any. my display looks kinda pink-ish even if i tried to color calibrate it, it's still the same. now i've decided to buy a wacom one 13inch display instead. tho it still works well, i still feel betrayed by huion😔

Im 16 and kinda poor. I need to get a cheap laptop with decent specs to support this tablet. I would build a pc but it’s not even that worth it these days. I’m doing traditional art for now until I can get a tablet with a screen. I want to start commissions and a summer job to get money to afford it. I’m looking at getting a 16” screen tablet. for me the biggest con is that I accidentally drag when attempting to double click ALL the time. Would be great if Huion had a "Double Click Distance" (Wacom) equivalent setting. Just really annoying.

Thank you for your review and all those hints and such, I'm currently looking for a replacement tablet for my xp-pen 16 (not pro) since the software causes me bluescreens on my new gaming pc (wtf) as well as the sudden inability to work as a 3rd screen, and the support was like 'just remove a few KB updates' (they literally named two KB updates and then the email went on to remove an unspecific amount of unnamed updates until 'it worked' - what???) so basically they told me to go fuck myself. This sounds like a solid tablet where the technical issues with the mouse offset is something I already experienced and fixed with the xp-pen tablet when it still worked properly (wink wink).

Also I got the tablet, couldn't run my old as chalk Photoshop, started learning CSP, discovered that the screen zoom needs to be adjusted to 100 % as opposed to Huion's idea of 150 % (why, Huion??), suddenly old Photoshop works like a charm again..... anyway. Hi there my daughter has an old school wacom that she didn't get a chance to full utilise, however she needs a drawing tablet that works. She is into animation and has an mac book air 2020 what tablet would you recommend for me to get her for Christmas.
I got one of these tablets a few weeks ago and I bought a chromebook because the guy who was helping said the laptop should hold it which it can but the problem is, I can't download the app, so now I can't make any changes to the zooming in or the pen, this bit was a huge letdown because Idk what to do now, I mean the tablet it's self is amazing, I just can't zoom in as fast 😢

This is the "pen tech 2.0" Huion pen, right? Does the nib have a weird, springy "squish" to it? (Like, where the nib retracts into the pen a millimeter or two as you apply force) I had a Gaomon PD1560 (2017 era) that did this and used the same exact replacement nibs as these, so I always wondered if the nib housing/sensor bit was the same among all of the tablet makers in this time period
Would you still recommend buying this tablet new in 2022, or would you recommend something else? I'm considering between this, the regular Huion Kamvas 16, or the XP Pen Artist 16 as my first pen display and I'm extremely conflicted. :(
If I were choosing between these 2 I'd get the Huion. XP Pen tablet has a film screen which is more prone to scratches. I saw some reviews of ppl saying they had to replace it after some time. Granted, I've never used an XPP Pen, but I didn't want to take the risk when I was looking for my first tablet.

I know this video is a year old but I ordered a regular kamvas 16 (not pro), it hasnt arrived yet but since I'm not too confident in my understanding of technology I was wondering in advance, to use software like photoshop on it, would I have to install that on my computer and then just hook up the tablet after set-up? Or how does that work? I hope this question makes sense lmao

1. It's not touch screen. Need to use the pen and express keys. 2. I'm not entirely sure on this one. I didn't rly do any research on that. Hope this helps.

@@InnermanArts hey heeeeey dafuq is that adapter thing? lol more stuff to try out but I didn't even know that type of cable existed, excuse the troglodytism rq but yeah, I'll be looking into this though with it being all bluetoothed up (WH1409 model) , I can only hope this works without it automatically going to charge and blocking out other functions. but if sweet, this should be an easy fix, as I'm currently looking at a WACOM that is waaaaaaaaay too expensive.

I'm planing on buying this tablet (refurbished) and man, I never thought of my PC specs as a thing to consider. Luckily I have 8 GB of RAM. Is there something else to take into account? For example, the video card? The CPU? Mine's are quite old, GTX 550 ti 2gb DDR5 and phenom Ii x4 955 3.2 GHz. Would that be enough? Also, I don't have 3.0 USB ports :'(

I upgraded to a Kamvas 24. Both of them have lasted over a year. Kamvas 24 was still going strong and the 16 was doing fine before I sold it.

Thank you for your review and all those hints and such, I'm currently looking for a replacement tablet for my xp-pen 16 (not pro) since the software causes me bluescreens on my new gaming pc (wtf) as well as the sudden inability to work as a 3rd screen, and the support was like 'just remove a few KB updates' (they literally named two KB updates and then the email went on to remove an unspecific amount of unnamed updates until 'it worked' - what???) so basically they told me to go fuck myself.
This sounds like a solid tablet where the technical issues with the mouse offset is something I already experienced and fixed with the xp-pen tablet when it still worked properly (wink wink).
Dang. Tech support for these companies is a joke 🤣

Also I got the tablet, couldn't run my old as chalk Photoshop, started learning CSP, discovered that the screen zoom needs to be adjusted to 100 % as opposed to Huion's idea of 150 % (why, Huion??), suddenly old Photoshop works like a charm again..... anyway. I am stronger than ever.

I got one of these tablets a few weeks ago and I bought a chromebook because the guy who was helping said the laptop should hold it which it can but the problem is, I can't download the app, so now I can't make any changes to the zooming in or the pen, this bit was a huge letdown because Idk what to do now, I mean the tablet it's self is amazing, I just can't zoom in as fast 😢

I'm going to buy this tablet, but the problem is that there's no possibility to install a protective film on it, because as manufacturer says, it has a fully laminated glass and there is no need in it. But I'm going to use this tablet a LOT, and I'm afraid the screen will wear off in a year or something. In your case, did any solid scratches appear after a year of use?
Nah. I used mine for over a year and it was good.

This is the "pen tech 2.0" Huion pen, right? Does the nib have a weird, springy "squish" to it? (Like, where the nib retracts into the pen a millimeter or two as you apply force)
I had a Gaomon PD1560 (2017 era) that did this and used the same exact replacement nibs as these, so I always wondered if the nib housing/sensor bit was the same among all of the tablet makers in this time period

Would you still recommend buying this tablet new in 2022, or would you recommend something else? I'm considering between this, the regular Huion Kamvas 16, or the XP Pen Artist 16 as my first pen display and I'm extremely conflicted. :(
If I were choosing between these 2 I'd get the Huion. XP Pen tablet has a film screen which is more prone to scratches. I saw some reviews of ppl saying they had to replace it after some time. Granted, I've never used an XPP Pen, but I didn't want to take the risk when I was looking for my first tablet.

I know this video is a year old but I ordered a regular kamvas 16 (not pro), it hasnt arrived yet but since I'm not too confident in my understanding of technology I was wondering in advance, to use software like photoshop on it, would I have to install that on my computer and then just hook up the tablet after set-up? Or how does that work? I hope this question makes sense lmao

2 questions: Does this tablet have touch or is the screen like on the Wacom One 13 with the only way to interact with it is by using the pen ? How is the Android connectivity / mobility experience ?
1. It's not touch screen. Need to use the pen and express keys.
2. I'm not entirely sure on this one. I didn't rly do any research on that.

I'm planing on buying this tablet (refurbished) and man, I never thought of my PC specs as a thing to consider. Luckily I have 8 GB of RAM. Is there something else to take into account? For example, the video card? The CPU? Mine's are quite old, GTX 550 ti 2gb DDR5 and phenom Ii x4 955 3.2 GHz. Would that be enough? Also, I don't have 3.0 USB ports :'(
