This is not for TH-camrs. I see these units in at national news press conferences used by professional videographers and they love them. Again...this ain't for TH-camrs. This is delicate professional equipment that needs to be protected and respected.
There are small TH-cam Channels like Storm Chaser Vince Waelti, Brandon Copic, and Corey Gerken use this LiveU encoder to combine all AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile sim cards and Starlink.
Green/Purple is usually a indication of bad HDMI connection, how many sim cards are you bonding ? I run a LiveU solo with 2 sims, 1 wifi wan connection and 1 wired Lan connection from 4g mobile routers with zero issues, full HD 1080/50 connection, it's been rock solid with zero failed streams in previous 12 months. No glitching no tearing and great image fed to CDN - Contact support as they are responsive and will assist - personally the Solo has taken streaming from a stressful thing to 1 click zero issue operation.
I thought it was because of bad connection but it makes sense now. When I tried doing a cycling stream it kept doing the green thing when I went fast So what’s the solution? A better hdmi cable? How can I make the hdmi secure
@@ChefDaniel508use a SDI model and SDI camera and you would not have any issues. HDMI is not a professional connection nor should it be used in a backpack
@@ReedithThat's right. Use SDI connection and you won't have any problems. HDMI is not the best connection specially when you are moving the device at high speeds.
Important to know before you buy - The liveu Pro (and now the regular solo as well) touts it can send SRT (which is faster, more secure and has less packet loss the RTMP) - but the solo unit does not actually send SRT. I talked with LiveU today and they said the SRT endoding does not happen in the unit. It happens via the LRT cloud bonding. If you don't use LRT you don't get SRT. This means that the unit itself is not sending the SRT. And the whole point of using SRT (at least for me) is to reduce bandwidth needs and packetloss. SRT encoding does not happen in the device so no bandwidth savings when you send the stream to the LRT cloud. Once the video hits the LRT cloud it gets converted to SRT and then sent where ever you direct it. So from the LRT cloud to your destination the bandwidth usage is optimized because of SRT. But that has no impact on your own bandwidth usage from the Solo unit to the LRT Cloud. So if anyone plans to use SRT to save bandwidth from the unit to the LRT cloud, it won't help at all.
@Reedith from what I got from LiveU the SRT and the h265 codec are now available for both the the solo and the solo pro. But... and this is the BIG BUT... the srt and the h265 can only be utilized if you use their LRT service. The SRT and the h265 are not built in to the unit (the unit is not doing the encoding). The LRT is.
@@SteveVickAK interesting I just did a test stream last night an SRT stream to caster but it wasn't h.265 so the only way to get h.265 is with LRT but without LRT you can still do SRT it's just HEevc ?
@@Reedith Oh good to know. All my SRT attemps failed without LRT. (I stream to castr too). But maybe something chage. I do know that h265 only works with SRT. So if you want the benefits are h265 you still need LRT. If your paying LRT anyway then it is a mute point. I use a magewell encoded for both the SRT and the h265 and send my streams that way. And instead of a LiveU Solo, I use a Peplink Router. It also has bandwidth bonding but it is a router, so I can use it a my internet connection for anything (OBS, streamyard, atem mini, etc). Plus the bonding server is sooo much more affordable than LRT.
@@SteveVickAK I also use a pep blink do you have any settings that help with smooth live streams? I've heard that peplink is great at internet bonding but not great at bonding for video streaming I just picked up a BR2 pro to use with T-Mobile Verizon and starlink bonded together as well as local lan when available The reason I picked up the live u was because even if you're using the peplink with a normal encoder most encoders won't dynamically change your bitrate if it senses that an internet speed decrease just happened whereas the live u apparently does if you're using LRT So what I'm going to do is just use the live u plugged into the pep link with maybe one modem on the live u or two. And then the peplink is handling the starlink and the local lan as well as any other 5G Sims I have in it which should be a pretty solid connection I'm just worried about weird firmware issues or the way it handles packets for live streaming
@9:00 I've always wondered why every bike streamer used the older Sony Action Cameras vs the newer GoPros, which had better stabilization. I used to review these cameras and was surprised to see people using a 2017 camera in 2023/24. Now I know why finally.
What software do you use on your phone to stream ? Samsung android. I just bought cheap hdmi to c type cable to use my external camera to cell phone. But i have yet to find a down-able sw that works. I really dont want to buy a laptop that has video encoder card.
Streaming off your phone is unreliable. The Live U Solo is for SERIOUS LIVE STREAMERS. Try purchasing the new Live Solo Pro 4k. Try lowering the quality down to 720p instead of 1080P (4K), make sure you purchase a unlimited plan with Live U using their Solo Pro Connect Modems (only compatible with the new Live U Solo Pro unit). This worked for me and I have beautiful clear streams! Much much better than a cell phone.
I had the same Problem today and the result was horrible. The Main reason for buying that is the bonding, but I am starting to think, that you mabye just need more sepperated broadband connections to Run this smooth. I hab the clitching problem also on another testshoot. Both Times indoor with only two lte business simcards. Not very good connection.
Why would you pay on credit at 20%/$200 more when you have the money(?)...? And then you always talk about just throwing things like this in the bin, that you just paid $1K for... Poor financial decisions and extremely wasteful. I mean the sex doll that you butchered is more questionable but I mean japanese people will probably still buy it...
LIveU Solo fabled SRT is a con as to xmit SRT you have to use their rip-off LRT bonding system at cost of £450 a year. Stuff that. So now we've gone for the Magewell Ultra Encode AIO where SRT is free to use. The Magewell also does HLS, which means we can use the TH-cam HLS service which is superior to RTMP. So bye bye LiveU - we put them all on eBay.
The LiveU works with satellite 🛰️ and it’s point is to have internet connection in rural areas and it’s made to vlog! I don’t see the point of not using your phone to vlog really…
I have used LiveU Solo for 5 years now. It's an amazing device to have
Glitch around 3:30 is caused by low signal, 4:12 is HDMI port being rubbish and glitching when moving the cables around
commonly referred to as LSD

Does anyone know why i cant see a stream on my facebook that the device and portal is telling me it started?

Look at the videos 🤣 they all negative. Man you should change your lifestyle. “Do not buy” click bait titles will not grow your YT channel.
