Bjorn was the one talking more like him and not accepting compromises easily, Ubbe was way weaker than Ragnar. Ivar was the fiercest but even more than Ragnar, to the point that nobody would trust him. And out of all the sons, Bjorn was the most respected in battle by far while Ivar was the best strategist. So Bjorn for me, but still no son achieved as much as Ragnar, and it shows throughout the series
makes sense - Bjorn was clearly Rollo's son. As Ubbe was clearly Ragnar's.

He looked the most like Ragnar. Bjorn was the most like him in every other way. Ubbe had the naivety of a young Ragnar (like the fantasy about Viking farmers in England) but Bjorn had a much more similar arc and personality than he did to Ragnar.

Ubbe was the most like Ragnar to me. Ragnar was complex and multifaceted. Ivar was strategic. Bjorn was a warrior. Hvitserk was sensitive. Ubbe was all of those things plus he explored and settled foreign lands the way Ragnar wanted
@@justbreathe_ I have to agree with both of y’all. However I’m leaning more towards Bjorn being more like Ragnar. Bjorn was a brilliant strategist, he explored further than any of his siblings, ruled with fairness and kindness, his warrior skills were far superior than ubbes and had the unwavering respect of all who met him. His characteristics resembled ragnars the most for sure, he’s by far the most complex.. as was Ragnar. However Ubbe looked like him the most, had his mannerisms and had ragnars voyaging heart. He jus wasn’t as well rounded as Bjorn. Bjorn is the only brother who could go to war with Ivar.. (by far the smartest) and win not once but twice. So yea I think I’m handing it to Bjorn.

And the stories about the Norse gods were fascinating to learn. It doesn’t have to be based in reality for me to enjoy it. It’s television for a reason. If you want to watch something based in reality, watch something else :)

I am guessing you guys who think Lagertha would have taken them both missed seeing what Ubbe did against the Danish King? In the legends Ubbe was a better fighter than all of them, even Bjorn. But in the show, I think Lagertha would have taken Ivar 1v1 MAYBE Ubbe 1v1 in a knock down like she did against White Hair, but against them both? Highly doubtful.

actually Vikings is not really historical accurate because the brothers where not rivals not even Ivar but Ivar was the tactician
If you're looking at it historically, the "brothers" were just kings of different lands who all claimed a mythical hero was their father. They weren't even all alive in the same time periods. Some died before others were born. And there is very little historical evidence that Ragnar ever existed. He's Viking Robinhood. Nearly the entire pool of historical evidence of Ragnar, are the claims that various Kings made about being the son of Ragnar.
