    A very reliable car.
    Back in 02 my kid wanted a 2 door High School car, with round headlights, so I got her a silver 00 LS Integra. Two years later my 2nd daughter wanted a new 04 Madza rx8 in yellow, but it was $$$$. Her High School car ended up being a yellow 01 Integra and they both learned to drive a standard transmission.
    They're both grown and gone, but the cars are still in my garage, under their Acura car covers.

      I still use my 97 Integra to work and back for 8 years now. 300,000 km. Here's the thing I am not a mechanic.. but I can fix this car very cheap if anything goes wrong back yard mechanic with some help via nephew some tools. I replaced the block once (valve was gone) took 12 straight hours to interchange parts to new block then drop it in connect everything and turn the key.. took two turns ..then tweaked it a bit. My first ever motor adventure.. amazingly still running great 4 years later. It's kinda beat up abit but runs great still at an old age. It never gave up on me even on 3 cylinders trying to get home from 75km grind blowing blue. Japanese make great motors.

    1. B Series
    2. MPFI
    3. OBD1 or easy OBD1 conversion.
    4. Easy to VTEC swap or Turbo and make 200-400whp cheap.

  • @karlsolitario8013

    Bought my 99 integra about 180k miles on February. It's been a long ride already, had a problem smogging it because it was running rich and I got lucky passing the smog, once I drove off the smog shop the check engine light came on. But I passed so I was good. After a month or so, timing belt snapped while I was exiting from a freeway. So at that time, I was ready to salvage the car and part it out but I already feel connected to the car so I didn't sell it. Thankfully, it didn't damage the engine so all I had to do was replaced the timing belt. Happy now lol! It's automatic but I plan on doing a manual swap.

    I bought a teggy for 2k it looked so nice when i bought it but now its giving me a hard time but not bc its hard to fix. Money definitely is something u need when looking for a car especially a project one. I made the mistake of gassing all my money on the car itself. Currently working and selling stuff to make some money to fix this up nicely. Its a non vtec which makes it worse lol. Wish me luck as i go on this journey to swap everything

    • @wxlli
      @wxlli 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even then still dont regret buying it. I love integras now which is crazy cuz i wasnt looking for one when i was car hunting. It just fell on my lap. Im gonna keep this car for as long as i can. If u are looking into getting a car PLSS definitely go for an integra. Theyre easy to work on. Very forgiving (cuz its a honda) and it will last you a longgg time even if u have a hard time figuring out how to fix things up.

    I had a 98 LS as a first car in high school and it was one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, maybe because it opened the doors for my love for cars or maybe just because it had the first love notion to it. I now own an S2000 and a CL-S 6MT so I guess I’m still a Honda boy

    Got my 94 integra ls for 2.1k basically just paid the rest of the guys payment on it (he had it financed) I got it around 180k miles on the body as it has a B20 VTEC motor swap along with racing seats, stage three clutch, K1 street coil overs, 8.5 ib. Flywheel, and a few other things. The only thing wrong with it is the driver side headlight needs a new harness and the AC needed frions (which I removed the AC anyway) I've painted it so far, gave an oil change, and painted it. Amazing car and can't wait to get it exactly how I'm wanting it.

    Question: I found a '92 Integra for $950, 5 spd. BUT, it was totalled, salvage title, and it may have an alternator problem. From the looks of it, I figure it's been sitting in the person's yard for a while (as it had a bunch of pine straw on it) and they wanna just get rid of it. With that being said, if I can get it down to $750, should I go for it?

    Had a 95 GSR, awesome car, best car I ever had. Got stolen because they are easy to steal. Police found it stripped to the frame and left for dead. Never brought it back to life. Move your hood latch cable to the engine compartment and get an alarm sensor on everything that opens, hood, trunk, doors.. This car will disappear if someone wants it bad enough! Keep a sharp eye on it.

    Someone in my area is selling a 2001 ls but the thing is it’s at 198xxx miles so I’m kinda sketched about it considering it’s my first car but he wants $2500 even though he was asking $3k

    • @kys_garage898

    • @SYKORYKO
      @SYKORYKO 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OMGTeggy hey so I actually didn’t buy it but I’m talking to another guy who also has an integra but it’s a 95 gsr and he did his own mods to it (coil overs, stage 2 clutch, short shifter,etc) but the only thing that’s pretty weird is on the cluster he said there’s 240k miles but the engine was swapped with b18 vtec he was asking $3,700 but I talked him down to do at least 3k is what his lowest he’ll take do you think I’m getting a good deal bro please help me out cause I really want an integra but this would be my first car and I barely have any knowledge on cars

    • @SYKORYKO
      @SYKORYKO 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OMGTeggy he told me the mods were b18 vtec engine swap with 150k miles stage 2 clutch , Kyb coilovers , skunk2 manifold , aftermarket exhaust , dc sport headers , new motor mounts , strut bar , nrg quick release , spar o foot pedals , viper alarm , short shifter , and some kenwood subwoofers but remember the cluster says 240k miles so hopefully when I check it out there’s nothing wrong with it like he says oh yea I forgot to mention clean title too of course

    • @kys_garage898
      @kys_garage898  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest I’d keep looking for another one sounds like he’sdone a lot to it and you never know he might have did something wrong. I’d say look for a LS unless you have the money for a clean not very modded GSR but those things are expensive. I bought mine with 180k miles for 2300 lasted me two year before I had to swap the motor. Just keep looking and be patient the right one will pop up eventually. Get one that you know is going to be reliable with little mods. These cars are really easy to work on but it takes time to learn about them

    • @SYKORYKO
      @SYKORYKO 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      OMGTeggy ok thanks bro it’s really hard to find an integra cause I’m in Vegas I wish I was in Cali cause it’s so much easier to find one also I hit you up on Instagram cause I was wondering if it would’ve been a good deal considering how he already had specifically the short shifter and coil overs (which was what I was planning on modding if I bought a bone stock integra) cause I probably wouldn’t have money left over to mod a stock integra after buying it lol he also said he had a type front end that he would throw in for $500 but yea man I sent you pics through Instagram
