Good review. I have to ask is the power seat on the XLE and XLE premium the same with lumbar support? Will both of these trim level offer the AWD?

Did he mention the safety features . It's suppose d to identify speed limit signs, adaptive cruise cobtrol, it's supposed to stop or slow down if something is in front and he did mention turn signals but did he say oNe departure ?

Toyota seems to have a few errors on their website - they currently list the LE as having alloy wheels.
A couple of comments:
The headlights are different on the XLE - it features projector headlights. Also, at least according to Toyota's website the LE headlights don't have auto on/off - which seems crazy for a 2019 vehicle.
Based on this video, the tires are a different make and model on the LE vs the XLE.
The LE sun visors don't feature sliding extensions.
I'm surprised that the heated seats and blind spot monitor are considered add-ons. They we're actually standard features on my 2017 CRV EX. That's cool though that Toyota offers a power liftgate as an option on the XLE.

Nice mark up on the XLE - that's where the mfg make the margins. LE and XLE are the same engine, they get you the same time from point A to B.
Thank you. I was getting a bad case of envy and a tiny bit of buyers remorse. I could barely afford the LE and I'm happy with it. My little old 99 Corolla has lived a good long 20 years.

I prefer my 2018 Rav4 SE over these two... After negotiating with the dealer I did get mine around the same price as this XLE and the XLE does not have leather interior or the rear view auto dim mirror. Did get mine in the Black Currant color with the all black interior (top and bottom) with all safety features like lane departure blind spot monitoring and collision sense and I am happy with it!

Was much surpprised and disappointed coz the Rav4 here in Canada was been assembled here in Canada not in Japan..was is the difference of the car which is being assembled in Canada and Japan.. please let me know .. thank you..

If they want a direct comparisome, a good positive statement is "Le is well equipped with ABC, to that Xle adds DEF". (Here there is no negative connotation)

I want to clarify from this video that he doesnt say. There is the LE and the XLE. The XLE features here is a "convenience" package. The regular XLE doesnt NOT include the power seats, heated seats, sun roof and the close button for the trunk. It is $2K more to upgrade from LE to the XLE and another $2K for the XLE convenience package featured in this video. So the 2 in this video are $4K apart.

The XLE basic has blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert standard. I haven't seen any accessories from Toyota yet for an alloy wheel LE upgrade....I'll shoot a video of one when we get it! jeff

Always get the one higher trim with some options dont ever get the lowest trim especially with Toyotas because it's worth it.
Cant believe cars still come with hub cabs.
For 26k. Go with crv, at 24k you get good looking alloy rims, better mpg, better materials, your saving 2k
Also rav4 comes with a physical key at 26k. Go with crv ex, you'll get sunroof, carplay, and quieter interior at 27k

I just bought a 2019 XLE last week I regret not getting the upgrade for the power lift door and heated seats, I regret that choice but other than that mistake I am happy. My last car was a 2008 rav4 limited but it had no limits, every option, spared no expense, JBL sound, v6 4x4 leather etc. The 2008 was just to small for in the drivers compartment for my long legs so here I am, missing a lot and excited to take the 2019 on a road trip.

@@afrprincess07 yes we are happy with it. Nothing has broke, everything working as advertised. I still wish I wouldn’t of got it with seats that I actually have to pump up and down manually as my wife is 5’4” tall and I an 6,2” tall and I’m in my 50 so that sucks when we switch drivers. With that said if you are not switching drivers that have a one foot height difference it’s ok I would imagine.

"My Reason" is based on what I've read and observed of the Asian culture; my best friend is Asian, and it seems they take a tremendous amount of pride in quality, hell, they must,look at who makes the best stuff. Not, everything, but a lot. And, they appear to be offended if they don't achieve perfection. So, this is "my" reason behind wanting it made in Japan. They try to perfect; where as, Americans want even re-invest in trying to improve a product. If "WE" being Americans took that approach, then we would still be commanding the textile industry, which I grew up in.

And I just had the package the gave me the power afjustong seats and power lift gate, but if you really want the rav4 then I'd deff recommend the better sound system cause the base is ass

what bugs me is you need the convenience package just for driver power seats. Toyota used to offer power driver seats as standard on all their base models back in 2008 with their Camry's. SMH

I cant believe the MSRP of LE went up by almost a grand and you get hubcaps (non existant of 2018)... and pay additional almost 2 grand extra to get alloy wheels...big turn off
Toyota knows their consumer. The market has shifted to SUV rather than sedans. So theyre jacking up the prices and adding the "good" features on the top end trims of SUVs. Just go with crv, $2k less, looks and drives better. Better mpg, more room, and standard alloy rims

@@mituljariwala9821 I don't think you can buy a hybrid CRV in the USA yet. Regardless, the AWD hybrid RAV4 looks like it has the same imperial MPG as the CRV, but it has much better acceleration.
Your are paying for those new safety gadgets that everyone seems to be so excited. In my case I dont need them and I would not want to pay for them. I'm a safe driver and if you need all of this dont drive.

Front wheel drive not awd
Toyota cheaped out and rised the price by 2k. No sound deadening under the hood, so much plastic on bumpers, physical key, hubcaps, no rear ac vents, no body colored mirrors, no projector headlights, no auto headlights on base models for almost $27k.
How to choose one? Money. That’s how. You either have enough for the higher trim, or you don’t.

Get a 2018 while you still can. This thing has the wonky transmission from the Camry and a gdi engine. They also are putting hubcaps on a $25k car. Ridiculous.
Yes it has gdi but it also has port injection to keep the values clean. Transmission so far no major complaints from reviewers. I would hope they fixed it since the camry 2018 was released a year ago. Regardless you can get the hybrid if the 8spd is concerning to you.

@@mituljariwala9821 btw the Toyota hybrid uses eCVT with planetary gears instead of the pulley rubber band at least the US markets. The hybrid has instant torque from a standstill start without that cvt lag.

So... The Le is 27k dollars and comes with wheel covers/ steel wheels and 10.00 dollar toyo tires ,as well as the Xle with the same 10.00 dollar tires? Toyota pisses me off. Their motors/ drivetrains last forever yes, but everything else is trash. And when are car companies going to learn to make the head liners/ pillar covers black??! Kids get everything dirty no matter where it is. The light colors just make it worse.
Nah,id rather go for Mazda CX5. Pricey features equivalent to Premium SUVs!
