Just like all your videos, Jake and Anna explain things MASTERFULLY and easy to follow, still my goto channel to learn how to do things on my GoPro ( and soon to be Insta360 ONE RS too). Thanks for the GREAT Content !!!.
Thank you for the Tips Jake, the intro is sickkk!! 🤘
Guys, I'm not a videographer by any means, but i've been tasked with making some videos for an amateur football team in the UK. I don't have fancy gear, but I do have an older Go Pro, an iPhone with Cinematic features and i've always had a quite creative mind. Watching through some of your videos today is already making so much sense, and the way you've explained shots and settings etc has really helped. Great vids
All the best with the upcoming vids 💫🤘🏽
Great tips Jake and Anna. You should have a million subs at this point

Great tips thank you!
Very informative. Thank you. Some time ago I changed gopro7 to gopro 11. I shoot a lot but don't like editing) I wish neural networks would learn how to do it efficiently. All the best :)
I’ve learned so much today. Thanks for this video.
Stoked to hear!!
I love these so much. I learn a ton in such a short amount of time. Thanks for sharing your talent and artistry.
You are so welcome!
Hi Jake and Anna. I hope all is doing well for you. Thx for sharing your expertise. Those details about GoPro settings will help us a lot to do footage more cinematic for sure. Cinematic footage does mean cinematic preparation I mean in the way to optimize the /get expected result for the subject, current environment and motion without forgetting the emotion that we want to convey in the sequence.🙃 I wondering if you did ever try the newer 1.33 anamorphic lenses ? I did see in some video this can be cool, the point is to turn off Hypersmooth and use another stabilisation method - e.g. using a steadicam smoothie or a gimbal. 😉
These guys' sceneries are too gorgeous! Where do they film?! Where is this beautiful lighthouse?
Awesome content thank you both!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just love your videos! Come to INDIA guys❤

Thanks!
Hey jake love from India love u
Trop cool cette video ✨✨🙏🏻
Bisous frérot ☀️💫🤘🏽
I love this videos , because I want to make videos like this
Hello there. Very nice video and final result. Just a little correction there about motion blur. The frame rate does not give you the motion blur. It has nothing to do with it. The motion blur comes from the shutter speed. So if you want to follow the 180 rule, you generally need to double the shutter speed of your frame rate to have the desirable effect. Frame rate is how many frames are in each second. But shutter speed, is for how long, each frame, gets recorded. So if you have a frame rate of 25, but a shutter speed of 1/1000 or auto, then each frame is get recorded for 1/1000 of a second, so if you pause any frame, it will be very sharp, without motion blur. But if you choose let's say for 25fps, 1/50th of shutter speed, then if you pause its frame, it will have motion blur. If you don't do that, you may have the opposite effect, where you have a slow frame, but each frame is very sharp, without motion, so you have a somewhat jerky shot. That's why many people use ND filters. Because Gopro, in sunny conditions, cannot go to such low shutter speeds, cause it will be way overexposed. So you need an ND filter so you can have a more suitable shutter speed for your shot. I hope that helps. Keep up the good work, and have fun!
This is a really great share! Thanks for taking the time to comment such valuable insights, we’re definitely still learning as we go and appreciate your time in helping make these videos better💫🙏🏽 legend!
What yall were missing here was drone footage. Over all good video yall.
Top!
super !!! Thanks 😎
Welcome 👍

Amei o vídeo, muito fácil de entender. Comprei uma Gopro hero 11 recentemente e estou aprendendo como usar ela de uma forma mais cinemática. Obrigada pelo conteúdo.🤩
COMPREI A 12
Love ur videos you have helped me on my TH-cam travel videos journey. But every time I watch a vid I think to myself … I know so little when it comes to filming and cameras 😂
Love to see the behind the scenes, very inspiring 🔥Have you guys played around with the GoPro Labs firmware? It unlocks so many options to get the best quality out of the GoPro 11...it's sooo good!
Hey Alex it’s been a while since we installed gopro labs on our cameras, I think hero 9 was the last time, we haven’t been using it lately but would love to know what features you’ve found really valuable? Especially on the new hero 11
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah Oh you need to check it out then 😁 The 11 especially has some new features that don't exist for the other ones. My favorites are: 1) you can turn off the noise reduction, so when you shoot with higher iso you'll get a lot of fine grain but it retains more details, GoPro's automatic noise reduction makes everything blotchy and way too soft. You can remove the fine grain in post and you are left with a much cleaner and usable image. Game changer! 😍 2) You can up the bit-rate up to 200mbs, it really does help when color grading🔥3) You can make custom log curves and get a wider gamut of color and dynamic range. I haven't tried those yet cause it gives you a super flat image and it's extra color grading work but i can imagine that these features would be great for cinematic work. I'm definitely gonna start playing with those soon😉 I really love where GoPro Labs is going with these new features, making that little camera even better for the advanced users.
cool❤
Nice 👍👍👍👍
That’s the best video for cinematic ever. I have a question. I have the GoPro Hero 9 Black and I struggle making horizontal movements once it creates some “stutterings”, I mean, the image freezes for a fraction on a second many times during the circular movement. What am I doing wrong? What should I do to don’t have these stutterings?
1) try update your camera firmware 2) take the shutter off "auto" set it manually - use the 180 degree shutter rule (double your frame rate)
Super 👍✌️👏😁
👍 Это было красиво! Очень красивое видео. И вы очень красивая пара.
Hey Jake! Always as inspiring as ever! Thanks for this video. Question: When you say shooting in 100 FPS or 50, or do you do so? I only have access to 60 and 120. Cheers.
Change the anti flicker settings on your camera and you’ll have access to the other frame rates 💫
Great video 😊 but i would say that motion blur without ND is the same in this sunny environment since gp has to adjust EV through the shutter speed 😊
Oh sorry someone said that already below :) yeah, the 180 rule ! ❤
Can these things only be done with the hero 11? I have the 7 and can't upgrade any time soon
Thank u 🙏
Always welcome
For real? go pro??? dayummm!
Good stuff! Question: do you have a video explaining intervals?
what do you mean by intervals?
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah when it comes to Timelapse’s
Hello ! Iv'e check in the description but I'm not sure to find the answer. In this video with eh GoPro 11, what do yo use for sound ? In the begining of the video, it seems you have a micro in your pocket (shirt's pocket 00:35) but in the description you talk about the Mod of Go Pro. Do you use an extra mic for the sound ? (for the 35 first second, when you talk)
We use the rode wireless go: geni.us/RJf0
Wat camera u use other than go pro in this video?
Hi Jake and Anna! Thanks for your inspiring content. I would like to know which software to use to export a 5.3K file from gopro? All i see is 4k output. Please suggest the software that can utilize and render a 5k output.
Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
wihch lut effect do u used for outdoor
how to set in gopro iso 1000? even in gopro lab i can't find :P
Wow amazing..do u have a link for the microphone u used?thanks
Rode: geni.us/RJf0
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah thank u
My Gopro video not seaport in my phone and pc can you tell me why any solison 😢
What kind of camera do you use in 2:57 In between the shooting while talking? Thanks!
Sony a7s3
yo great video
Hope it helped you out with your settings and shops
What settings were used?
Always use GoPro hero 5 it’s best for me
Is this whole video shooted on Go Pro, if yes
How do you manage the high quality
Camera Settings
Editing style or color grade style
no, the parts where we are presenting to the camera are shot on Sony A7s3
what little Rode mic is that, very good sound for such a tiny thing? is it wifi attachable to the gopro too? edit: er, bluetooth
did you get the name??
Can you use the same settings for the go pro 12
Sure can
Quick question. Do people prefer shooting with their phone or GoPro? I can’t decide
Depends on the style of video
Are you leaving the shutter on auto? I heard it had to be double the frame rate. I've just finished my honeymoon video, and I had what I thought was the right settings but the footage is a bit too blurry when I pan with the camera..?
Yeah shutter on auto 💫
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah going to try this next time!
Hi. I want to ask .. which card are your using for 5.3K video recording... ❤
SanDisk extrême pro 128gb
Do you need a gimbal for creative shots? During mid-day a shutter speed of 1/48 will require an ND filter and I heard/seen action camera image stablization does not work well on low fps; thus needing a gimbal to stabalize.
We don’t use a gimbal for any of our action camera videos 🤪🤘🏽 hello hypersmooth
@@JakeRichandAnnaChah Thanks Jake.
Will these types of settings work with a DJI Osmo Action 3?
Sure could 🌱👌🏽
Plzz share Which camera u r using for your video?
Sony A7s3
nice video! You're using 25fps because you're based in EU, yeah? For North America, I should use 24fps?
yes, exactly
Do you still recommend the max lens mode??
To be fair we rarely use ours. So probably not
Thank you for the video, awesome insights! Have a question about the setup on instant 07:27 (th-cam.com/video/3mYh43fdPxI/w-d-xo.html). What is your setup for this particular outcome? How did you achieve the blurred background? Still using the GoPro or some other camera with proper lens/aperture? Hopefully you can answer that. Cheers and keep up the good work!
In Premiere please ....
