Most people will if they don't have an xbox, and tye ps5 isn't backwards compatible with ps3 games. And don't you even try to emulate it if your pc isn't an absolute beast
Games that need reboots for the new generation: Dantes Inferno The Suffering Prototype Infamous I'd also take a streaming show for either infamous or the suffering ngl
I really wish they got to make that sequel. It was such an interesting take on the book sprinkled in with some things based on how the crusades were. I dont think there's anything like it still. The game knew what it was, and it did it well. It was also one of those games that you could do multiple playthroughs because it's fun and short, like Gungrave. I had the psp and xbox versions, and they surprisingly were one to one with each other. There was little they had to change about the game to make it work on psp. They just changed the combat to accommodate one stick.
I'm a Catholic and i find this game great and the design we're sick and amazing. Still mad that Christian and Catholic try to boycott the game due to have a Hell theme. Oh and the competition for marketing, you could say it's a total SIN. Cuz' y'know the challenge is like a dare to follow all those seven deadly sin.
As someone who played this game for the first time I considered this game to be a hidden gem because the gameplay was so fun and I do like how the game handled the skill tree
I remember I played this game at a friends birthday party sleepover, hell it was the day the colts played the saints in the super bowl and this game stuck with me after all these years. It was pretty freaking awesome
I just love that you get to see the levels of hell and then paradise, I’m not religious but the way the game portrays the darkness in the depth of it all is what made me love that game
I’m replaying this game now. I loved it when it was first released but it got a lot of hate for being a God of War clone. It kind of is, but it’s still a very good, fun game. The artwork and combat is excellent.
I wish they did make a sequel showing purgatorio, some of the depictions of angels in The Divine Comedy are twisted beyond human comprehension. Could've been a great sequel.
I really enjoyed this game, personally. It didn't do much particularly special, but it did enough right that I 100% it and still have fond memories. Not fond enough to go out of my way to replay it, but that's still more than I can say for a lot of games.
Back when I played it, I thought it had an intriguing tie-in with the divine comedy, and im glad someone made a game out of it, a pretty kick-butt one too if you ask me.
I loved the game just for the aesthetic direction alone. Everything else was just icing on the cake. I'm still upset we never got that sequel. Probably would have been fantastic.
I don't think I'mma be able to trust another video from you... I hear the "WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAITf" in my sleep. Cleopatra also had me very conflicted. Honestly a beautiful character model... But then the ... Evil babies coming from her nipples.
I love that game, and the movie, and the art book, and it sucks that we don't got a sequel That's how i got to know about Wayne D Barlowe and his awesome creature design
Got me a new ps3 so I can finally play this game (my old one always crashd at certain games) and for the most part I enjoyed it... except for the bit before the final boss, these trials, like not getting hit. Those where optional in god of war, they where basicly there own game mode and they really should have been this in this game too. I would like to replay it some day but this one bit always scares me away.
The only game I never finished! I kept being beaten by the final boss! Long after i sold my xbox, went to college and became a pc and nintendo player, until i got a ps5!
I think the premise of adapting to the Divine Comedy was a bad idea for a video game. I played the game and I can see why some people think it was a god of war rip off.
I've seen and heard about Dantes inferno the game, but never played it, but I did watched the animated movie which I thought was based off the game by the scythe and design, but I see it's a bit more different than the game, still cool though😄
thanks so much for watching! Let me know your thoughts on Dante's Inferno!
Ya know, a two hour video essay about all the differences between the game and the original story would be a pretty Fringe thing.
I think it would be a pretty short video. The game uses the Inferno as a very loose structure with pretty much no crossover other than names.
@Linkswolfform what about the part with the big booby lady who's got evil babies crawling out of her nipples, that's not in the original cantos?
Thank you for covering this game! I feel like everyone skipped this masterpiece
Most people will if they don't have an xbox, and tye ps5 isn't backwards compatible with ps3 games. And don't you even try to emulate it if your pc isn't an absolute beast
I remember wanting this game after I saw the badass trailer during an NFL game
I vaguely remember there being a game on Facebook that has ties with Dante's inferno and by "playing" it you could get the game.
It's no masterpiece, let's be real.
But it is entertaining for sure.
Games that need reboots for the new generation:
Dantes Inferno
The Suffering
Prototype
Infamous
I'd also take a streaming show for either infamous or the suffering ngl
Also Remember Me

The way his character design had a tapestry sewed on his chest to remind him of his sins and to repent for it is so fckn metal
I'm a Catholic and i find this game great and the design we're sick and amazing. Still mad that Christian and Catholic try to boycott the game due to have a Hell theme.

Do you practice Lent?
@@GrosvnerMcaffreyI mean you wouldn’t be a very good Catholic if you didn’t practice Lent. Right now is Saint Michael’s Lent! Fyi
They didn’t. It was fake controversy started by EA.
I remember being so pleasantly surprised by this game. And the Lust portion of the game will live rent-free in my head forever.
Those lust demons were certainly something else...
Honestly my least favorite part was the lust part. I was uncomfortable as fuck.
@@Anathema_009 It absolutely was. I could have gone without that part.
As someone who played this game for the first time I considered this game to be a hidden gem because the gameplay was so fun and I do like how the game handled the skill tree

Bro, I remember that Superbowl like it was yesterday. I lost a bet with my brother when the Saints won and he STILL gives me flak for it
I played that game on ps3... shame it never got remaster treatment but the gameplay was fun. Liked the diverse skill tree based on how you played.
One of the best PSP games right here
I just love that you get to see the levels of hell and then paradise, I’m not religious but the way the game portrays the darkness in the depth of it all is what made me love that game

If God of War and Devil May Cry is Godzilla, Dante’s Inferno is Gamera
This game was so good. It was back when EA actually made new IPs. It's one of my favorite games of that generation.
I wish they did make a sequel showing purgatorio, some of the depictions of angels in The Divine Comedy are twisted beyond human comprehension. Could've been a great sequel.
One of the first games I got all trophies for. It’s a great game, love the animated story parts. Would love an HD! Merry Christmas cutie pie 🥰🎄
I really enjoyed this game, personally. It didn't do much particularly special, but it did enough right that I 100% it and still have fond memories. Not fond enough to go out of my way to replay it, but that's still more than I can say for a lot of games.
I remember buying/playing this game when it came out and I was AMAZED by the story and the action had my 14 year old brain quite stimulated for hours.
I didnt have any of the home consoles so i played Dante's inferno on the PSP and I really enjoyed it a lot!
Jordan! I gave a lecture comparing this game to the original poem at work earlier this year! What great timing for this video!
Back when I played it, I thought it had an intriguing tie-in with the divine comedy, and im glad someone made a game out of it, a pretty kick-butt one too if you ask me.
What better way to celebrate the holidays. Is to play a GOW clone made by Visceral, based on the Divine Comedy.
Alternatively, if you want to be a clone, do it right.
And DI did so.
This game is Catholic God of War and I love it.
Finally someone remembers this game
A remaster would be fantastic, especially since God of War went in a different direction. I would love to play this on my Switch.
I passed this game on to a friend a long time ago and now his son's name is Dante.
The only way this game will get a sequel, is if every fan donates the game's funding.
I wished they’d remaster this baby, this game deserves it.
I’m currently been playing Dante’s inferno on my psvita and this video pops up on my feeds 👍
I loved the game just for the aesthetic direction alone. Everything else was just icing on the cake. I'm still upset we never got that sequel. Probably would have been fantastic.
It'd have been fun to see what you'd do in Purgatorio & Paradisio.
Remember how cringe and funny the marketing for this was lmao. It was fun game tho
The trailer was cooler than the actual game.
I played the psp version, did get to far, but i liked what i played
I don't think I'mma be able to trust another video from you... I hear the "WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAI-WAITf" in my sleep. Cleopatra also had me very conflicted. Honestly a beautiful character model... But then the ... Evil babies coming from her nipples.
Yeah... I'd rather forget that. Best we don't talk about that any further.
I love that game, and the movie, and the art book, and it sucks that we don't got a sequel
That's how i got to know about Wayne D Barlowe and his awesome creature design
really good video
Playing back through this right now
Free on gamepass
"A PSP version for some reason."? Just what are you implying here Jordan cause if it's slighting the PSP I won't stand for it
Got me a new ps3 so I can finally play this game (my old one always crashd at certain games) and for the most part I enjoyed it... except for the bit before the final boss, these trials, like not getting hit. tbh i remember having this on PSP and the game had whole ass sections cut out like bruh lmfao
they need to hurry up and give us a Dante's Purgatorio
The demo sold me back then.
This is my favorite game in the God of War style. I think its purely because of its setting.
No one talks about this game enough!!
I had this on PSP. Though it wasn't one of my fave PSP games, it was pretty damn close.
The game and the movie were awesome ❤ , i remember having it on my PSP i was obsessed with it
A cult classic.
I dont even enjoy the GOW style of games that much, but this game is so good!
Nice to see where Hazbin Hotel got its inspiration lol
Solid ending to the video 👍
The only game I never finished! I kept being beaten by the final boss! Long after i sold my xbox, went to college and became a pc and nintendo player, until i got a ps5!

I got it on Games with Gold and Jr was amazing
It has a anime
So much better than GoW
New city, who Dis?
I love this game.
dude for real get out of my head lol i was literally just talking about how much i loved this game and want to play it again lol
The ending is too funny 😂
hi Jordan Fringe
You should play el shaddai ascension of the metatron. It’s a similular theme wise but with an insane style.
Good
One of my favorite games, ty for this 😁
Ooo cool
Do a Lollipop Chainsaw and No More Heroes videos
I loved this game
The whole GOW franchise cannot compete with this game.
I've seen and heard about Dantes inferno the game, but never played it, but I did watched the animated movie which I thought was based off the game by the scythe and design, but I see it's a bit more different than the game, still cool though😄
MayorHairBear has a pretty good and more in-depth video on Dante's Inferno, if you're interested.
TAS is amazing my fav ❤
This was a super fun game I own it on Xbox n psp lol
I have this game on my Xbox series s
Dants 🎉
I did not know that anyone else knew about this game 😂
Old EA games are amazing
Blasphemous God of War?
too bad they didn't adapt the rest of The Divine Comedy
I loved both. . .so my opinion is biased af lol
It's like GoW but shorter, more forgettable, and easier to get platinum trophy for.
Bro this game is the same age as me😭
