I just tried the DNS thing on my copy of Guardian Signs, and it worked! For the longest time, I never thought I'd be able to play a mission I never knew about, but here I am with my very own Manaphy egg! Now comes the pain of shiny hunting it...
I think the darkrai has to be over level 50 BTW and forgotten pursuit AS IF it came from platinum. Diamond works but don't know about pearl . Pls look up more if interested as tweaking darkrai is not event, nor Shaymin
I'm so happy that I successfully bought a second hand Ranger Guardian Signs game. The whole events on the Ranger Net wasn't even downloaded on the rardridge! So all I needed to do was to connect to the right DNS and here we go: Manaphy Egg, Deoxys, Heatran, and the Shaymin missions all for the taking. 😊
@@Gazoisherethis method only works with ranger 2 and 3. Ranger 1 only has one manaphy egg pre-loaded onto the cartridge. Once its used… its gone completely. Getting manaphy in ranger 1 means getting a lucky copy that didn’t claim the manaphy egg. Ranger 2 and 3 never had the manaphy missions installed in the first place. They were missions that needed to be downloaded via Nintendo wifi. While nintendo’s official ds severs closed years ago, people have created privately owned servers. If you go into the DS Wifi settings, you can basically tell it to connect to one of these private servers. Just need to change the DNS port. Its like connecting to a minecraft server in a way. Once setup, you can download every wifi mission from the ranger net. It works exactly the same as the official method.
To let you know that I actually grew up playing not only playing Pokemon Red & Blue (Both cartridges were in Spanish), Ruby, Leaf Green, Diamond, Platinum, Soul Silver, Black and White. But I also played Pokemon Ranger and it's sequel "Shadows of Almia" and they're actually pretty fun to play in my opinion. I also played a little bit of Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team and Explorers of Darkness.

I’ll never forget when I was a kid, not having internet access and only knowing that Pokémon Ranger could get you a Manaphy, and not knowing the password. One afternoon I was ranting about not knowing the password and I just started mashing random buttons on Ranger Net. Suddenly, a sound chimed, and “Enter the Password has been added” popped up on the screen. A year later, when I learned that libraries gave internet access, I got the password and unlocked the Manaphy mission 😂
I've been keeping my eye out for Pokemon like this on my road through each generation. I'm currently on Gen 4, working up from Gen 3 games (including Colosseum and XD), playing one game from each "batch" of games (so far Ruby, LeafGreen, Colosseum, XD and now I'm on Platinum) taking a special Pokemon from each to the next generation and gathering whatever ribbons appeal to me. I brought forward a Jirachi from the PAL Pokemon Channel since that's the only Pokemon you can really obtain anymore and I have access to My Pokemon Ranch on the Wii, but... no Diamond or Pearl cartridge so I can't get Hayley's Mew. Pokemon Ranger itself is one I'm not intent on playing, since I've got access to the other two games and their wifi missions. I got a little tired of having all of these older Pokemon and how my childhood self would always just reset the saves with no way to preserve them. I have the means to transfer from every generation to 8 now and I intend to finally take advantage of it. It's been rather fun.
I’ve been doing the same thing. As a kid I had a mission to get every legendary Pokémon I could and I did just that with platinum up to soul silver. I have almost every single event Pokémon except for one, the guardian signs deoxys. I missed the event as a kid and I remember being heartbroken that I couldn’t get it. But now there are DNS servers you can put the ip into your wifi connection that host the wifi events so you can legitimately obtain each wifi event Pokémon. Mostly legit. Haha. If you set your system time to the time of the event that you would have obtained that event then it shows up as 100% legit.
I'm gonna do this starting from gen 3 ...although now 3ds eshop is gone ill have to buy a f**** 3ds that has poketransfer installed😑 bet that won't be cheap

For the record about a year ago I managed to extract a manaphy egg from a copy of shadows of almia that didnt have the missions yet. Requires using a hotspot from your phone with custom settings punched into the ds wifi. Info is out there if you search. For anyone wanting to do it, I can confirm it was still possible in 2021 to download the missions and get the transfer to work. Just a lot of work. Deffs legit
In my gen 4 games I recently completed the National Dex with the Deoxys, Shaymin, Manaphy, Phione, and Arceus being hacked in. I have guardian signs and it’s so relieving that I can get most of these legitimately (ish)
I never realized the pokemon ranger manaphy was locked to one per cartridge, nor did I realize this game was played by so few, and that even fewer actually used this
@@keithpalacios9417 I mean that you can get them through gen 4 mystery gift, for the ranger games the wifi missions can't be replicated so you can just use an online save that has them. I suggest using twilight menu or an acekard (or any rom loader) for that
In case people don't know you can get infinite eggs with 1 single cartridge of pokemon ranger. There isn't any special hardware inside the cartridge that only let's you get the egg once. All you have to do is completely wipe the save file off the cartridge. When you start a new game it doesn't delete the old save it just overwrites the old one and it keeps the information about the manaphy egg. Unfortunately to wipe the save completely you have to use some kind of DSi or 3DS homebrew software that can delete saves off of DS games. Most people propably don't know this and keep hunting for copies that might not have gotten the egg already which is a waste of time and money imo.
The Deoxys event allows unlimited Deoxys to transferred to be transferred to any of the Generation 4 games. There is 4 different types of Deoxys that can be transferred. I am not sure if the games can only accept one Deoxys from the mission, as I am not sure if the Deoxys is treated as different wondercards or not. There are different time requirements to get each different Deoxys. The information is available at www.serebii.net/ranger3/wifi.shtml. Also I think to get the attack form knowing Meteor Mash is posible to get with only 3 or more players. I tried two players to clear the mission within the time limit and failed to complete the mission with more than 5 minutes remaining.
Today i downloaded the missions on rangers shadows of almia. it is posible to conect to the old nintendo server using your phone and a specific dns, 164.132.44.106. I also downloaded the events missions and pokemons for pokemon platinum. So, for those like me who never claimed the online rewards, its still possible to obtain to date.

what if you fully reset the cartage using files from homebrew from an app called FBI files. it completely resets any dsi or 3ds game that is inserted or installed on the ds software. people use it to get multiple legendary pokemon in gen 4 pokemon games like jirachi, celebi, or the shiny legendary beasts?

Yes AND no. No because those servers are dead, and yes because it is possible to find premade ROM's online where those missions are available. Then if you have a ds romloader card you can transfer them to a legit game, and pokebank and pokemon home will see them as legitimate. So, yes, with a workaround, which is technically not legal. But I have been assured it is possible.
A bit old, but its still possible to get the special event pokemon from the black white games, and gen 4 games by playing around with the 3ds wifi connection. There is a video online somwehere, but I tested it maybe a month ago and it worked. Any idea if this could apply as well to the ranger games or no?
I’m working on completing the living dex and i need Phione and Manaphy, so i have a few questions: -Which is the best of the 3 Pokemon Ranges to obtain the special egg? -I don’t understand if i can do this special mission of Manaphy whenever i want or i have to modify something (i know it was an event but how can i get this mission?) Only the first one, the regular pokemon ranger, as that's the only one not requiring Internet and dead servers to acces the event. I reccomend looking up a written guide on how to get to the special missions as that is easier to follow and has the right directions (instead of this TH-cam history video haha)

Ovidio Pecoraio no it is not possible to receive another manaphy once you have claimed it. There is only one loaded on every cartridge. Resetting the game does not work.
So can this be done by using 2 Nintendo 3DS’s? I’m trying to complete my national dex and looking at buying a copy of this game online in hopes the event was never accessed
Update! Managed to get a copy of the game on eBay, completed the main story and the ranger net missions.... and managed to get myself a Manaphy egg! Your video was a big help 😁
In the original and shadows you need to pass the game first. In almia you dont have to complete the game first, and In guardian signs I dont quite remember

Ovidio Pecoraio no it is not possible to receive another manaphy once you have claimed it. There is only one loaded on every cartridge. Resetting the game does not work.

In the original and shadows you need to pass the game first. In almia you dont have to complete the game first, and In guardian signs I dont quite remember
