Konami has an easy time remaking MGS3

Does anyone know if the ROM loader works with the manaphy eggs?

Not sure how I got it. I assume it was my grandpas since I got the Gamecube from him when he passed. We had one as a kid, but his is the one I have now. And I have this in like, mint condition. Thing sells for pretty good chunk of change on Ebay.

I still have it installed on my 3ds after all these years.

The 20 fps cap and 15 fps cutscenes was probably a holdover from PW as it and portable ops was also an attempt to bring MGS3’s engine to the PSP.

I just did buy myself a legit Pokemon ranger guardian signs with all the mission :) you just have to search in the internet for a while

Lets be honest. Pokemon diamond and pearl and mario kart are what shot up ds sales. They really should have set up online for this demo. It would have made the game extremely popular since all early ds consoles had the demo.

I got my collector edition from game stop. They were running a promo for the game cube being sold for $100. Think this was 2003. Very good christmas. I still remember the commercial for the promotion too.

I love the MGS 3 remake on 3ds its to me is the definitive version because of the 3DS quirks and the better aiming controls. That said the low frame rate is bad. Granted I have a modded New 3ds so it runs the game at a constant 30 fps which breaks the alert system timing.

Tracked a copy with the egg, almost shit myself when on the trasfer screen only said diamond and pearl since i only have platinum. Luckily it also works on platinum

There is a rumour that EA wanted Origin to be Wii U’s online. The only way that could have worked is if EA agreed Nintendo would get full shares of their digital sales with EA taking their ‘share’ behind a paywall for Wii U users. I’d be interested to see a world where this happened. EA would 100% have gotten in Smash Bros in some form

Years ago when my local KB Toys went out of business they were selling everything that wasn't nailed down, so I bought their copy of the Collector Edition.

Fun fact, in Mexico, this compilation was sold directly. You didn't have to buy a system, a game or subscribe to a magazine to get it, you just had to go to a store and pay for it.

Those glitches maybe your disc being bad or pal version cause I’m in Jersey n have disc noting that you said happens

Never played 4 Swords - is it any good ?

I never knew this existed until going to the house, one of my cousins' friends who isn't a zelda fan but bought the bundle. I asked him if I could have it, and he said yes. I got it for free.

I didn't know about how much Wind Waker content was on the disc. I wonder if it's from the same build as retail, or if there may be some beta elements buried in there.

Before thinking about paying stupid scalpers for this you should be aware that they really messed this game up, it has a bad glitch / freezing problem.

In emulation with 4K HD textures and at 60fps it’s the best way to play the game period in 2024. Great vid!

It would be cool if someone stole the Wii U devkit, because there might be a working build of the game there, then it could be dumped and played on any Wii U

Every time since 2011 that I got a new 3DS model, Nintendo transferred all my GBA/GBA games and my Ambassador Program to my new one. It's one of the most unique things you can own, as it was a part of limited history. 😎

It’s a fair point that topics related to Mario is a missed opportunity; can you imagine if we learned about Mario things, of Plumbers, Pipes, Dinosaurs, Castles and Kings, and why the Fungus make Alice grow and whether Turtles have wings.

Best version IMO. I had so much fun with this back in the day.

I remember asking the Target employee for this and they got it for me and I walked out without paying

This is the first MGS game I played but only the demo version after I saw my dad playing MGS4. I didn't have any problem with the game. but I had fun playing it

Its literally capped at 20fps
