y'all... this week, I told my mom that I might have adhd and she told me : "it's cause you're always on that goddamn phone"... LIKE HOW IS IT RELATED ?
No mom, I'm always on my phone because I have adhd, not the other way around. I am clinically incapable of doing boring things that don't make the happy chemicals and when I am interested in something on my phone I cannot stop for the life of me
my mom without ADHD: its really unhealthy for you to be on that all the time... **takes it away for 2 days** 6 yr old me with a tablet: *WTH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
Me: *Peacefully sleeping with my noise (TV)* Me:*voice gets slightly louder talking to mom* Mom: NO TVV (ง'̀-'́)ง Me: Cries* PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 😭 Mom:SHUT UUUPPPPP U ANNOY MEH! Mom: Why she cry? My mother thinks she knows everything about me. She’s a good mom but still...
God dammit i always do this. My brother and i both have adhd from our dad and i picked up a trait where he says ready? then does something spazzy as hell so i picked it up cuz im like lmao funny and i put random ass shit in my mouth while my brother like breaks shit what the fuck is wrong with us
Oh my gosh yes, I could literally be staring off for 5 minutes in my own head several times a day and then go about my day thinking that thats what everyone does, only realizing later that there's a connection there
Can you imagine the demigods fighting in the middle of a way and the enemy yells out "15+16"and everyone just stands, thinks, and yells 31 and goes back to fighting only to find out they just lost .
when im stressing about something I always get my friends to spew random algebra that I have to work out otherwise my brain will eat my internal organs and then I dont stress as much :)) high five “what is x if 37 + x - 14 = 159?” now we spend five minutes trying to work out what 7 - 4 is.
I be wondering how ppl do math quicker than me. Them: 31!! Me: well 15+15 is 30. 15+1 is 16 so lets do 15+15+1... i wonder how this would look if its multiplied,... 15x15x1. How would this work? 15 x 1 is 15. 15 x 15 is... hmm (i do the same method for 3 minutes) OHHHHH THATS WHAT I WAS DOINGGGG
*when you can relate to some of these and your brother has adhd but you don't want to say that you might have it because you don't want to self diagnose but you think you might have it but like no because youre not very talkative like your brother who has adhd* : same
WHAT THE FRICK ARE YOU- ARE YOU STALKING mE- I started watching these to see how my brother thinks more clearly, and realised I experience all of these things daily and this is how I work jsnxnxn
if you're a girl please bear in mind that adhd presents differently in girls and boys so a girl with adhd will not "look" the same from an outsider's perspective as a boy with adhd! if you are a boy, you could also just have different symptoms. there are a ton of symptoms of adhd and you don't have to have _every single one_ to have it. i recommend asking your parents if you can get tested. if you get tested and you do have it, great! now you know! if you get tested and you don't have it, great! you don't have adhd!

RSD is literally the least well-known ADHD thing and it makes me so fucking angry because it can cause so much agony, it can make you think you're going insane or that you're a terrible human if you don't understand it, and... no one understands it. My DOCTOR hadn't heard of it before when I brought it up to her.
One time I made mac n cheese and I think I used a little too much milk bc it wasn't very cheesy. My mom told that it's alright and that it looks fine. I cried. I felt like a huge failure.
16:24 Actors are really bad at portraying ADHD. Like they will pretend to be distracted by a bird or butterfly and be really energetic and then neurotypical people will say that it was an accurate portrayal of ADHD.
So honestly with my ADHD I'm not very tired most of the time I'm almost always energetic and I was diagnosed with ADHD since I was really little but I guess some people with ADHD are different.
@@Kadance_covin Well I mean some people get overenergized and some people get really exhausted but actors only ever portray it as overenergized and not the opposite side of the spectrum.
I mean if I'm honest I do that sometimes I'll be talking and then I'll see something pretty or something cool or cute and then I'm like : oh look at that and completely lose my train of thought but I do agree
I need that one image that’s like “either people with adhd need to stop being so relatable or I need to *something I forgot*” my mom wants to get me tested for a bunch of stuff (my brother and my dad have adhd so it’s likely)

6:17 i outright refuse to believe people do mental math without going through that whole process. what kind of sorcery does it take to just look 15+16=? and automatically know the answer??
EXACTLY! I always have to add the 5+6 then write that down so I don’t forget ( my ADHD brain hates me ._. ) then i have to rember to do the 10+10 then add the 11.. like how do people do that mentally- this takes me like a minute or a 2 to do this... 🤦♀️
*"Ahdh in girls needs to be treated!"* My mom: "Hah! Not if I pretend it doesn't exist and only tell my struggling daughter about her diagnosis when she's 14!"
The fact that the exact same thing happened to me like I didn't even know it was a thing until she told me she had it and then b o o m I get diagnosed with it
I relate to this to some extent. I turned 18 recently and been struggling really hard with quarantine. I struggled a lot in school too, but I got used to it and learned to live with it to an extent. In the past couple weeks or so I've been having trouble waking up to my alarm, and my parents are not happy about it. The other day in particular I had had a really bad night not being able to sleep untill 8 am, and kept falling asleep after my mom woke me up. The 3rd or 4th time (at 3pm) she came in screaming and threatening to pour water on me. I started crying and went upstairs with her, then she sat me down on the couch with my dad. I was still VERY tired and had a headache, but we had a long conversation in which I explained to them why I couldn't get up and had trouble falling asleep at night. They started with insomnia and maybe depression, but I assured them it was because my brain wouldn't stop going. As I started to describe it more, she realized it might be adhd and looked up a quick test, which I scored way too high on for it to not be a consideration. Since then I have been watching a fair amount of videos about it and at this point I'm pretty sure I have it. Before the end of the conversation though, they mentioned that in kindergarten my teacher noticed something was off about me and got someone to come and observe me for a day (I went to school in a literal village, they probably had to travel for at least an hour to get there), but I guess nothing came out of it. Then apparently when I was in 7th or 8th grade and I started having a lot of trouble in school not being able to get stuff done on time, they had a conversation with my teacher (different one, of course) about it. But instead of telling me any of this so I could do research and find out what is actually going on in my brain, they kept it from me and decided to tell me that I was just lazy and needed to try harder. BE. TRANSPARENT. WITH. YOUR. KIDS. PLEASE. 😐 PS: there are so many things in these videos that I'm realizing are probably as a result from the adhd, like not feeling homesick at camp (lack of object permanence) or not being able to keep my room clean no matter how hard I try. ❤️
ah don't worry! most of the symptoms are pretty relatable, what matters is how frequent they are and how much they affect your social life, school life and you at home. also, ADHD has many symptoms in common with many other disorders or mental illensses! dw

For the people who might be a little confused: There is no difference between ADHD and ADD, ADD is an outdated term for the inattentive type of ADHD called ADHD-I, saying ADD is ADHD without being hyperactive, it's really harmful, it makes people think ADHD is JUST being hyper, when it's not. There r 4 types of ADHD • Inattentive • Impulsive • hyperactive • combined When u have the inattentive type of ADHD (ADHD-I) , it's not an entirely different disorder, it's still the same thing, just a different type. 2:17 fun fact, people with ADHD have object permanence issues. It's like how people play peekaboo with babies and the babies genuinely think they've gone somewhere. That teaches babies object permanence to say "oh, they just hid behind their hands." However, people with ADHD have really bad object permanence which is why if you have ADHD you tend to keep things where you can see them and you lose things otherwise because you can't actually SEE them. Also could be the reason your room is "messy" too; you've got everything in a specific spot that you can see and know where it is, but other people would say that the room is messy. Edit: one of the tik toks in the video later explains it so much better
I keep defending my brother and trying to educate my parents. They know he has adhd yet treat him like he doesn't and they always tell at him it's so annoying.
My brother has Adhd and I think I may have Adhd due to the fact that I've noticed that I have most if not all of the symptoms but my mom has been saying that the fidgeting is all in my head and shit like that but my doctor did suggest I get screened but I don't think my moms gonna schedule it
I recently did alot of research on ADHD and I could relate to so much of the symptoms.... I didn't wanna self diagnose so I asked my mom if I could get tested. She got mad at me and said I'm using ADHD as an excuse for being lazy. Anyways, my parents won't get me tested. It's really upsetting how unaware some people are about ADHD
Try to explain a bit. Go to r/adhdmemes, I sent memes from there to my mom to help me explain how it feels like. Tell them that it's quite a torture. Do research and try to word your feelings.
@Confused they barely even know the symptoms and they think they have the right to say it's an excuse. It's so ignorant... I'm so sorry this happened to you too
Just realized why I can hear something extremely far away but not right next to me- I have to say “huh?” Most of the time. Auditory processing disorder
Sometimes I feel like I do that. Other times I know I heard what the person in front of me said but I still say "what?" ....like instinctively, I'll just say "what" and then have to watch them get annoyed & repeat themselves ;-; But I can't just say "oh no, sorry I heard you" cuz then they'd be angry about me saying "what" in the first place-
I'm so sorry to hear that, man. I'm an enby (exclusively they/them pronouns) and I have several disorders that present differently in different genders so everyone always defaults to, "Well girls do this, women with this do this-" and sometimes I just want to smack them lol
@@-Solidwater Not exactly. I experience ADHD with symptoms that "both genders" can relate to. It makes me feel odd. Almost like I don't belong to either but both are trying to claim me :(
same.. i didn't have a name for it tbh.. and it's so true for me aswell.. my mum will sometimes ask me oh can you grab the wash from the washer and hang it up on the lines. but then it turns out the machine is still working on it and it'll take another 30 minutes (if it's like 2 i'll sit in front of it and just sit there and wait watching it while zoning out) so i'll just be like i'll do it later cuz it's not finished yet.. so i go to my room pick up whatever it is i'll be doing and BOOM next thing i know my mother comes into my room. i thought you were going to put up the wash i'll get up to go do it then she's like no no sit down i've already done it.. and i'm just like 🤷♀️
It's a huge problem for me lol. I open the microwave and there's already food in it. I discover my own dIshes in weird places. I have "I JUST set it down!" issues. I think adhd is "big picture" and our eyes slide off individual items instead of internalizing them. Combined with object permanence issues, it makes decluttering feel like christmas
Everytime I try to go looking for my phone I feel like Thor looking for his lost hammer. Ripping up the entire house but it was in my hand the entire time.

I've slowly realized I think I have ADHD or at least some kind of neurodivergent. I've shown so many sympathy. Stimming, sort of "tics", hyperfocusing, rejection sensitive dysphoria, issues with object permanence, random changes in my mood, trouble remeebering things or focusing, and probably more I havent realized yet. @@itz_mqcha_bear2167 Most people with ADHD, especially adults who were not diagnosed as kids, are self-diagnosed. Weird stigma around self diagnosis, but how do you expect to go to a doctor about an illness, if you dont feel sick? Self-diagnosis should always be the first step, and most health practices encourage it. They dissuade against self-MEDICATION.
fun fact, as of 2013 "ADD" is no longer a valid diagnosis! Basically the title of "ADD" doesn't exist anymore, and it's all just lumped in with ADHD. :)
I related to everything in the that particular video, but I don’t know and (kind of) doubt I have it. I think my brother has it but I don’t really know. If I had it, it’d be like, not super there if that makes sense?
@Falcon Fern you're absolutely right about that! I was just saying that the DSMV (the most recent edition published in 2013) no longer lists ADD as a diagnosis. What was considered ADD is now categorized with ADHD, but you are fully correct about the different subtypes of ADHD, and the lack of awareness for ADHD-I!
*As someone with ADHD, I can shamefully say, I haven't taken my medicine, in a good couple of weeks because I forget, good news is that now that I saw this video, I shallowing start taking it again, so in a way, thank you, lol*
Also PSA: Having ADHD isn't a trend or something you want to have or to make yourself seem Quirky (and obviously there'e nothing wrong with having it) so please don't just say "I have ADHD" just because you forgot something or got distracted by something or are just energetic. I'm not calling anyone out, I'm just speaking from experience from people who make comments like this and then go around like it's something to show off. Try to get diagnosed if possible, or tell your parents or a trusted adult! Don't rely 100% or self diagnosis but it's always good to be aware or have an idea. I mean all of this respectfully
if you take it right when you wake up, always make sure there is water or some liquid available next to it! if its hard to remember to fill up the liquid, buy a big gallon jug to keep near by. leave the pills and water out the night before. this way its the least amount of effort in the morning. if you have any smart home product, program it to tell you to take your meds in the morning, not just an alarm. my smart home literally yells at me and says "i know you think this is your regular alarm but it is not, it is your medicine alarm. please take your pills for the love of god you fucking degenerate." I also have a second alarm 10 minutes later that says "hey, just double-checking that you took your pills? we stan a medicated queen, uwu". hope youre doing well, its hard to remember!
As a girl with adhd I can confirm it actually is quite difficult to recognize if a girl has adhd because they usually express hyperactivity through talking ALOT and I mean ALOT and then people just think We're chatty and annoying which is just sad
I have serious anxiety issues, so in any social setting I'm usually quiet and withdrawn. Until I realised I'm extremely talkative, interrupt/talk over others/talk really loudly, can't wait until someone stops talking so I can share a thought I had, when I'm around a comfortable group of people lol
well damn. I might have undiagnosed adhd as an afab transmasc(or bigender, idfk). I was SUPER talkative as a kid, and that's stopped unless someone inquires about a universe or fandom I'm really into, then ill be talking for HOURS about it, and I was self-conscious about it since i thought people thought I was chatty and annoying (which was true tbh, mainly my parents and oldest sister thought that). makes sense why I blabber on about my new universe to myself so I can redo little bits and big bits, important to the story or not. I have a comfort plushie for this i consider a son, Phoenix, he/zim. I wanted an Archie the Axolotl squishmallow but he was too expensive so I chose lil Phoenix and now he and I are like father/mother and son that act like roommates and I love my fennec son :3 he's not physically sentient so ze won't judge me and I love that cuz then I can dump all my interests to zim and I won't get judged, even for acting like my plushie is my sentient son :D
btw i am afab trans he/they* i haven’t been diagnosed with adhd even if i have it, and probably never will but this is so true, the fact that i talk all the time. i don’t have any friends at school, i just talk WAY too much to random people in my class without thinking and i get so annoyed at myself for not being able to make friends and just talking. i’m sure of it that i annoy people because i just drop into friend groups randomly because i want someone to hang around. are mind blanks also common? like forgetting something like 6+2 and just sitting there for 20 minutes trying to figure it out and then forgetting what you were doing and just sitting there without realising it’s been 20 minutes? i did that in a maths test the other day- i’ll get a low grade because i didn’t finish half the test because of above situation. it was confusing when i told my sister about these things and she said “just concentrate?” that’s what I’ve been trying to do. she couldn’t relate at all because it was so easy for her to concentrate and all my friends agree. it’s a weird situation, someone tells me to do my homework and i try and start on it and i can’t think. i convince myself that i’m being dumb, but i just can’t write. I’ve asked my parents and they said that since my teachers haven’t said anything, they can’t get me a diagnosis. it’s annoying, but it’s the way it is. sorry for leaving this long reply, i lost track of how long this was- :))
Im undiagnosed and a girl tho i barely talk at all, im always silent and every single thought i have just stays in my head, idk if its because of anxiety issues or maybe im just shy (adhd and shyness is that possible??) hello. this is to anyone suffering with ADHD or symptoms of it. i have pretty bad adhd and it had effected my life in many ways. its really frustating at times. ecpecially when you know you need to focus on something and you want to but you physicly can't. you're not lazy or stupid, its just adhd and its hard when people dont know that. i've started medication for my adhd and i'm already doing so much better. ofc im not perfect but were working on getting me on the right medication and the right dose and getting me some therapy(idk the name i cant remember but its just learning to fix the issues adhd causes that are more physical then mental.) but just know it can get better and with time it will. just find things that help you. not all adhd is the same and it cant all be cured the same. find what works for you and dont let your hopes get too low.
only issue i have is that medication is shit for me.. most of the common meds give me some severe sideeffect people haven't even heard of.. ritalin for example gives me severe stomach ache wich normally i don't have EVER unless i need to drop little boy into my toilet bowl.. but even then this was a different kind of ache then i get when my intestines are acting up
my mom legit told me that i don't have adhd because my sister has it and i don't show the same symptoms outwardly that she does- i brushed it off by saying that i wasn't asking about me having adhd it's just that i inquired about it
does anyone else go into like zoning out episodes where you’re unintentionally zoning out but you realize it and fight for focus but then that ends up taking away your focus or is it just me?

I've been diagnosed with autism, but I recently started taking some meds usually used by people with ADHD (which has been VERY helpful) and now I don't know which of my behaviors are from autism and which from ADHD!
Honestly I dont either I write off most of my distraction related things as adhd and other symptoms as autism most things for me are autism while the few adhd symptoms i have are very very very extreme
Well I’ve heard they overlap. And I usually get happy and excited when me, an autist/aspie, knows about my favorite music artists having ADHD, most notably Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and Awsten Knight from Waterparks.
Having ADHD makes me who I am, and I love having it , I used to hate myself for it but now that I understand myself a little better and ADHD a little better I don’t hate myself anymore, ofcours I have the same problems as normal but I try to make the best out of it, ofcours it has its downs to, but I focus on the positives, even tho focusing is hard😂 I now got the right doce, and kind of pils I feel so much better, it doesn’t take away my ADHD it just helps me be able to handle my emotions and hyper self, I still eat well even with my pills, I’m happy having ADHD in fact I love it, it’s not a label, it’s me :) I don’t see it as a disability anymore, I see it as an extra ability 😉, I’m creative, I have empathy, I’m verry social, I love doing stuff, yes I might have like al of the other negative side, but there is a lot of positive things to ADHD, people with ADHD love yourself 😘

As a person with ADHD I love to find Tik Toks like these people a lot of people think ADHD is just having “crackhead” energy or being distracted all the time, but it isn’t..it is so much more
I remember panicking over some of these things because I didn't even know they were part of having ADHD... like the rejection sensitive dysphoria, I thought there was just something else wrong with me- my mom and dad don't talk to me a lot about what is and isn't apart of ADHD. They just had me diagnosed and put me on meds for it, and for a kid who has a bad case of it, it kinda makes me tear up and feel relieved and valid to hear others discuss what they experience and have others who ACTUALLY HAVE IT clear up a lot about it.
Yo, the one at 1:39 just helped me so much. I've wondered about my tics for years and now I have an answer!! Ok but that math one too, I thought everybody did it that way
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: Body-Focused Repetitive behaviors are also a symptom of Anxiety and ocd! Please talk to a therapist / psychiatrist if you experience symptoms of any of these! They are all commonly misunderstood
i have some.. but most of them are fidget or stimming tics (ADHD and Autism) though as a kid i did have one where i washed my hands compulsively and i had one where i made a certain noise often.. most tics i get however usually go off when i'm on my own and bored though
Thank you so much for this video!so many people think ADHD is just getting distracted easily and having Crackhead energy when it's so much more that that.as a person with ADHD I love seeing awareness❤❤
i went to the doctor recently to get a diagnosis and my mom thinks i don't have anything cause "your friend has ACTUAL adhd, he had to switch schools multiple times bla bla bla" but im showing every symptom i can think of, and i shouldn't suffer just to prove i have it.
So the math one at 7:03 is wild because I have ADHD and that is how I do it too! And the object permanence thing is so validating. I tend to feel really distant from people I don’t see for a while. I told a coworker recently, when they asked if I missed them “I don’t see you enough to miss you.” And it felt so mean but it’s true!
Woah, I didn't know about how the object permanence affects how much you miss people! I feel way less guilty about not missing people nearly as much as they seem to miss me when we're apart; thank you!
when i was thirteen I went on a field trip for a week to another state. I was supposed to call my family each night. The day I came home I got yelled at like crazy because I forgot to call anyone...I told them it was an honest mistake I legit didn't even think about it, at all. Not the first time something like that happened. I feel a little less guilty about it in recent years since I learnt what causes it.

if you're a girl please bear in mind that adhd presents differently in girls and boys so a girl with adhd will not "look" the same from an outsider's perspective as a boy with adhd! if you are a boy, you could also just have different symptoms. there are a ton of symptoms of adhd and you don't have to have _every single one_ to have it. i recommend asking your parents if you can get tested. if you get tested and you do have it, great! now you know! if you get tested and you don't have it, great! you don't have adhd!

Same here bud my dad is still in denial about it 😔
I relate to this to some extent.
WITH. YOUR. KIDS. PLEASE. 😐
PS: there are so many things in these videos that I'm realizing are probably as a result from the adhd, like not feeling homesick at camp (lack of object permanence) or not being able to keep my room clean no matter how hard I try. ❤️
One thing i would like to add is: Trouble maintaining eye while someone is speaking to you.

I was SUPER talkative as a kid, and that's stopped unless someone inquires about a universe or fandom I'm really into, then ill be talking for HOURS about it, and I was self-conscious about it since i thought people thought I was chatty and annoying (which was true tbh, mainly my parents and oldest sister thought that). makes sense why I blabber on about my new universe to myself so I can redo little bits and big bits, important to the story or not. I have a comfort plushie for this i consider a son, Phoenix, he/zim. I wanted an Archie the Axolotl squishmallow but he was too expensive so I chose lil Phoenix and now he and I are like father/mother and son that act like roommates and I love my fennec son :3 he's not physically sentient so ze won't judge me and I love that cuz then I can dump all my interests to zim and I won't get judged, even for acting like my plushie is my sentient son :D
btw i am afab trans he/they*
i haven’t been diagnosed with adhd even if i have it, and probably never will but this is so true, the fact that i talk all the time.
i don’t have any friends at school, i just talk WAY too much to random people in my class without thinking and i get so annoyed at myself for not being able to make friends and just talking. i’m sure of it that i annoy people because i just drop into friend groups randomly because i want someone to hang around.
are mind blanks also common? like forgetting something like 6+2 and just sitting there for 20 minutes trying to figure it out and then forgetting what you were doing and just sitting there without realising it’s been 20 minutes? i did that in a maths test the other day- i’ll get a low grade because i didn’t finish half the test because of above situation.
it was confusing when i told my sister about these things and she said “just concentrate?” that’s what I’ve been trying to do. she couldn’t relate at all because it was so easy for her to concentrate and all my friends agree. it’s a weird situation, someone tells me to do my homework and i try and start on it and i can’t think. i convince myself that i’m being dumb, but i just can’t write. I’ve asked my parents and they said that since my teachers haven’t said anything, they can’t get me a diagnosis. it’s annoying, but it’s the way it is.
sorry for leaving this long reply, i lost track of how long this was- :))
Im undiagnosed and a girl tho i barely talk at all, im always silent and every single thought i have just stays in my head, idk if its because of anxiety issues or maybe im just shy (adhd and shyness is that possible??) Though i did notice that most of the time i feel a bit impatient when in a conversation

Edit: holy shit my mom has ADHD-
to be more specific my symptoms are:
I've always hated routines, I feel guilty a lot, I space out way too much, I lose track of time a lot, I always worry if people are mad at me, I have a bad memory, someone will tell me something, I ask what did you say, but remember what they said half-way through them repeating it. i usually want to stay up late, i get bored easily, i avoid chores a lot, i overapolagise, i will walk by an object im looking for MULTIPLE TIMES before i see it even if it sticks out like a sore thumb, i used to love drawing but now it just feels like a chore, i quit hobbies a lot, I have rejection sensitive dysphoria (When i ask a friend if they wanna hang out and they say no because they're going with another friend my first thought is that they hate me), i have hyperfixations which is when sometimes i'll wanna talk about my interest and that is completely it, i have weird compulsions to contract the muscles in my legs and hands in a certain order, i suck at focusing when theres music, i have to pause any music im playing that has words when im typing or i'll try to type out the lyrics to the song, i cant sing while typing something, i get upset very easily, i over-focus on negative things someone says about me even if i get plenty of compliments, i have to hear directions like 3 times in order to actually get it through my thick skull, i always have trouble completing tasks that are boring,i listen but it goes in one ear and out the other, im quickly overwhelmed, i suffer with self-esteem issues, i feel like people are always judging me, i sometimes talk way louder than i need to and i dont even realize it, i can hear conversations from 2 rooms away but i barely undertand what someones saying when they're standing infront of me, i've always had a habit of picking my nose (which has gotten me bullied), biting my nails, and trying to pop zits, i have a short temper, when i cant see something i forget that it exists, when someone goes on vacation i dont miss them cuz i forget they exist
like.. same- it's kinda scary when u realize that this just wasn't normal and everyone masked it just like me-
@Falcon Fern Thank you! I've told my nanny about my symptoms so we might get a therapist sometime soon.
@Falcon Fern lololol my mom is subscribed to her channel in an attempt to try and understand me better!!! My dad, on the other hand....
If you relate to this and your mom has it I would definitely talk to a therapist. Sometimes you just happen to be born with it but its also genetic. My dad has adhd and that's how I got it but he was just born with it
hello. this is to anyone suffering with ADHD or symptoms of it.
i have pretty bad adhd and it had effected my life in many ways. its really frustating at times. ecpecially when you know you need to focus on something and you want to but you physicly can't. you're not lazy or stupid, its just adhd and its hard when people dont know that. i've started medication for my adhd and i'm already doing so much better. ofc im not perfect but were working on getting me on the right medication and the right dose and getting me some therapy(idk the name i cant remember but its just learning to fix the issues adhd causes that are more physical then mental.) but just know it can get better and with time it will. just find things that help you. not all adhd is the same and it cant all be cured the same. find what works for you and dont let your hopes get too low.
only issue i have is that medication is shit for me.. most of the common meds give me some severe sideeffect people haven't even heard of.. ritalin for example gives me severe stomach ache wich normally i don't have EVER unless i need to drop little boy into my toilet bowl.. but even then this was a different kind of ache then i get when my intestines are acting up

All diagnoses start on acting on your own "self diagnosis." The difference between someone who believes they have a disorder and someone who just wants the attention is how they act on suspicion. You want to get tested and that's valid

Well I’ve heard they overlap. And I usually get happy and excited when me, an autist/aspie, knows about my favorite music artists having ADHD, most notably Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy and Awsten Knight from Waterparks.
IT WAS THE MATH ONE THAT RLLY GOT ME HOLY SHIT-
Having ADHD makes me who I am, and I love having it , I used to hate myself for it but now that I understand myself a little better and ADHD a little better I don’t hate myself anymore, ofcours I have the same problems as normal but I try to make the best out of it, ofcours it has its downs to, but I focus on the positives, even tho focusing is hard😂 I now got the right doce, and kind of pils I feel so much better, it doesn’t take away my ADHD it just helps me be able to handle my emotions and hyper self, I still eat well even with my pills, I’m happy having ADHD in fact I love it, it’s not a label, it’s me :) I don’t see it as a disability anymore, I see it as an extra ability 😉, I’m creative, I have empathy, I’m verry social, I love doing stuff, yes I might have like al of the other negative side, but there is a lot of positive things to ADHD, people with ADHD love yourself 😘
