      My soon to be husband is a disabled veteran with a VA rating of 100%. He is considered P/T because of his service connected disabilities. We live in Texas and I'm just learning all of this caregiver stuff! Would it be a waste of time to apply for this or not? His main rating is for PTSD! I just do not want to waste my time if its not worth it. Any advice?

      it would be well worth it. you'd get help to know more about his disabilities and how to handle it.. great resources

    Is this worth it? If the program try’s to rehab you and force you to use va doctors can’t this work against you in lowering your service connected ratings ?

      very great point. thats exactly what they try to do but they tend to put veterans on the caregivers program who's service connections cant be reduced

    Can you keep your current job and be a caregiver?

    • @combatvetvlogger8685
      @combatvetvlogger8685  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes you can.. being the caregiver is not supposed to replace your permanent job as this is only a rehab program

    I'm 100% but I have a job, can I still get caregiver benefits?

    Subscribing. Missed you. Care givers? Is that on top of the 100%? Do you need to be 100% to get A&A. The nurse wants to come up and bathe me daily.
    I can't see having some kid wash my balls but if that is what it takes. I guess I stink.
    Semper Fi!

      yes it is on top of the 100% and no my brother you dont need to be 100% to be part of this program. as long as you are at 30% you are good to go. make sure the nurse is a female lmao
