It is so obvious to almost everyone that she was murdered. She was found floating with no water in her lungs but was ruled a drowning?? It seems like she was killed at the campsite and then placed in the water by the 3 people she was with. The sheriff’s department doesn’t want to investigate further because they know it is a murder and don’t want the negative publicity placed on there communities BIG money making “Wake Fest”. Any reputable law enforcement agency would have definitely done a rape kit on her regardless of a tampon being present because a woman can absolutely be r*ped while wearing a tampon!! That ladies husband is definitely correct when he said that the tampon would have been a wealth of evidence and DNA. Again the sheriffs department didn’t due a rape kit on her because it would bring negative publicity to their Wake Fest event and may deter people from attending it for fear of getting r*ped and murdered and they do not want to lose out on their huge money maker. Very immoral, irresponsible and corrupt of them to be complicit in covering up a crime!!!

My husband used to be an investigator for a sheriffs department in Colorado, and also once dove with search and rescue and he said that body from the photos looked "fresh" and not like she drowned 24+ hours prior and was in the water that whole time. Also, he said that tampon would have been a wealth of DNA evidence had she been raped. Saying she couldn't be raped because of a tampon was ridiculous....he said that was a lazy sheriff's department!
My husband has one theory that the triangle mark is coming from her possibly trying to get back into a canoe, and that's why the triangle is upside down, shes fighting to get back into the canoe, and someone hit her on the head.
He said the facts are only that she died from blunt force trauma. She didn't fall from the cliff and she was found in the wrong place. He was also interested in the banding marks across her abdomen....

Your husband is right on the money! It's a very popular place 4 Springbreakers aka teens and young adults partying, drinking and doing drugs and other other water sports and they MUST keep that Great Reputation alive and having an suspicious murder investigation in the media and bad for the county and the famous popular hangout. Pure Evil 😈 people! I'm glad ur husband sees through the bs.
I was very shocked they didn't do a rape kit and dna as well. I like to know if there's any connections to the police or a friend of a friend who knows the parents of these 3 people who doesn't want to tell the truth.
I believe if they get the girl alone and lock her in a room and have a soft female talk to gently she will break and tell the truth even if they were all drinking or drunk. Sooner or later u start to remember things over time and in time. Just like childhood memories. You only remember certain things and it's usually because it was a tragic event or something happened and our minds will block it out to protect us from the truth and the pain.
I think you and ur husband should reach out to this hurting family and try to help and provide any help u guys can. It would mean a lot to the family and it shows you do care and support them. Help them fight for justice and to keep other families from going through this terrible tragedy. There's no telling how many cases get covered up by that office department. Any one of us could be the next victim or our own children.
I have a teenage girl 17 and I can't help to but be a helicopter Mom and she hates it. I track her location on the LIFE360 free mobile app! She will understand one day I'm just keeping her safe and I'll always always protect her from this evil and crooked world of wrongdoingers.

I saw this story a while back. I can't believe there is no one the family can go to to get this case reopened. The police failed at their job, no proper report, the ME failed by not noting every single mark on victim's body. When they stated she got that triangle mark from the boat used to take victim to marina, someone should have taken pics of the boat. This case is so, so sad. I can't believe the law is able to get away with a crappy job in their investigation. 🙏

    • @davidbiagi2932
      @davidbiagi2932 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes, in a normal situation anyone would do that but it seems like this mom and everyone else automatically assumed those 3 had something to do with it and I wouldn’t doubt if they were questioning them and accusing them and so they felt like it was best not to go. Not saying that they aren’t guilty or something, that’s definitely also a high possibility, just saying don’t look into them not going that much because there are always reasons people don’t go to funerals. I didn’t go to my best friends or my grandmas funerals and I loved both of them more than anything, I just can’t do funerals and that isn’t how I wanted the last time I “saw” them to be. Personally I do think they were involved in some way with her death, good chance it was not intentional, but could also be murder or could also have just been her drunk and it was dark on a cliff and she just made took wrong steps. What I do know is the sheriffs department did a shit job not even making the slightest attempt to make sure foul play wasn’t involved. Atleast that’s how it seems.

Imagine doing all of this and those people are actually telling the truth and are innocent and she really did fall off a cliff and now she’s pretty much ruined innocent peoples lives just because the family couldn’t accept the fact their daughter was not some perfect angel and she happened to be drunk and in a dangerous spot. Nobody knows if those 3 or one of the 3 had anything to do with her death except those 3 and the girl that died. But as far as I’m concerned, they are innocent and need to quit being harassed. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty and even if they did it, we will never know and that is because of the lack of effort the police wanted to put into it to find out if there was any foul play involved. Right now the police are the ONLY ones that should be getting harassed and questioned by the family, friends, or just anyone that believes it wasn’t actually an accident. If those 3 had something to do with it then investigate it, come up with the evidence to prove it, and convict them, otherwise they are innocent.

Also, much care is given in recovering the body so as not to contaminate the body with such things as marks as in the angled impression on her chest. Just a strong hunch here, but i think the guy in the hammock with her tried to put the moves on when she was basically passing out.. she freaked out and denied him, so he pushed her out of the hammock (before or after attempted sexual assault) resulting in very serious injury or possibly death. Then this guy freaked out and either finished the job or moved her body to the cove - or both. Probably with the help of his male friend. And the other female may have assisted or been intimidated into corroborating their story.
Theres no way she simply fell out of the hammock and into the lake, all while not waking the male occupant of the hammock and then drifted against the current into that cove.

I'm wondering which one, Hannah, Aaron, or Chris has family in whichever office, capable of a cover-up to protect their own! I've never heard of someone transporting a body face down..(assuming she was put inside a body bag to protect evidence), at the VERY LEAST it would be considered disrespectful...but I could be wrong. It's obvious Lauren was not just a beautiful woman, she was a beautiful soul..sending my prayers to her family..this will be a much darker world without her in it..

I've never heard of a body being transported face down... it's absolute disrespect. It also wouldn't have changed anything CSI wise as long
As really good pics were taken of her in the water and as soon as she was removed- not that they've used them for anything AT ALL. This is a terrible tragedy made worse by shoddy police work. I think the guy she "shared" a hammock with wanted more than she did and when it wasn't given to him, he took it- hence the bruising on her thighs... broken fingers etc... and once he took it, he knew he had to kill her- so he hit her with a rock and tossed her down, and maybe he went down and drug her into the cove where he thought it would be late( after the weekend was over) when she was found. Unfortunately, like her mother said, it's going to take one of them developing a conscience - maybe having a child of their own one day...before the truth is told.

I lived in Ft Campbell Kentucky about 18yrs. And know exactly this place and partied there before. It really sounds like Hannah probably told her new boyfriend to bring his friend because she knew a pretty girl she could bring. Or her boyfriend told her to find a girlfriend to bring for his friend. And Lauren knew nothing of it and probably didn't like dude. That literally happened to me so many times and I did get put in a bad situation when I was 15yrs old, out of town for cheer camp, and someone had promised some 22 yr old that I'd be his date for the night, in exchange for some pot. When it got late the dude tried to take me to his car, to a hotel room and I was like wtf do you think you're doing? He acted confused and said did you not know we were together for the night? That he literally "bought" me from one of his friend's. I almost feel too overprotective of my children and I worry a lot. But then stuff like this reminds me that I need to be.

There is nothing to indicate foul play, I get why the mom is still investigating, the cops weren't very thorough, but there is no motive, she seemed happy in her last photo, there's no reason why her friend who definitely appeared upset in questioning would cover up for a guy she barely knew, the dummy down the cliff does not fall like a real body would, it also doesn't simulate it likely being very dark which would have made it very hard for her to climb back up that hill.
The presenter even said how hard it was to climb up the hill in the daylight and with the rope, it would have been even harder to do if she had stopped at some point during the fall, it's possible she may have decided going downhill would be easier and then fell even further with it being dark.
The cops even explained how the triangle was on her body, they said it matched the measurements matched up perfectly from when they recovered her.
Again, I totally get why her mom is still investigating it, the cops didn't do the best job.
And they're wise to plead the fifth, there is a good video on why even innocent people should plead the fifth, the Supreme Court has even said on of the fifth amendments basic functions is to protect the innocent.

This story is always brought up and I still can’t believe her friends ain’t in jail every time. The imprint on her stomach is enough to show she didn’t just fall off a cliff

With "friends" like them, who needs enemies? Didn't go to the funeral, no tears, guy said best weekend ever, they plead the fifth. I hope the mother keep fighting and someone is held accountable for her daughter's death.

If you’ve nothing to hide, You’ve nothing to fear! If none of these 3 talk then they’re hiding something. With friends like Hannah, who needs enemies?!

That's hilarious, you better fear every time you speak to cops ,you obviously don't know much about law enforcement

@melmc9672 not every cop is crooked. Just because you might have had a bad experience, doesn't mean everyone is going to.

There is a reason why innocent people are convicted of crimes they did not commit.

This is a case that’s haunted me for years! I have a daughter(whose name is Lorin) who is a few years younger than Lauren and I’ve never been able to get the thought of my daughter going through what she did that night out of my head. It’s pretty obvious she was murdered and moved afterward. Those three “friends” of hers know more than they’re telling. I believe one or more of them are guilty of murder and I pray they are caught! My heart goes out to Lauren’s family, especially her Mom. 😢❤

My heart breaks for her mom. This is obviously lazy police work. So many young people think they have “friends”, who are actually people very jealous of them.

This case is so sad and heartbreaking. There’s no doubt in my mind Lauren was murdered. Sucks no one has been bought to justice. All the love and peace to her family ❤

No rape test, body not swabbed and no water in her lungs, so no drowning, but they close the case as accident? What kinda lazy ass investigation was that? And the "friends" behaviour! Omg this was a major miscarriage of justice.
