I'm very happy to see Volquartsen picked up the rifle. I bought the PWS verison back in 2015 and have to admit most of my bolt action .22s have turn into safe queens. Very happy with it and its a great suppressor host!
Volquartsen advised that the biggest changes were the firing pin, firing pin spring and extractor. They sell these parts as an upgrade kit. (Part number VCB-FE)
BTW, nice groups and thanks for shining a light on what I think is a great rifle!

I have the original Summit T3 receiver from PWS. It has a 18" fluted Fedderson bull barrel installed in a MagPul stock. Trigger is a single stage Kidd set at 2lbs. Nice that Volquartsen picked up the T3 from PWS when they stopped production of them. It was always a hard to get item from PWS, as they only manufactured them every so often. I also have a Sparrow on mine.

That action looks similar to my Browning T Bolt’s action. Smooth, fast and accurate. There is a reason that Olympic competition rifles use a similar design.

I got to handle a Summit and really love the way it works. I have a receiver on order for a build with a lightweight stock and lightweight 1:9 twist barrel to give me the quietest operation and best accuracy with Aguila's 60 grain Sniper Subsonic.

The toggle action has been used for a while on 22 biathalon rifles, very fast and ergonomic. I have a Russian 22 target rifle I bought for about $450 before the import ban that has a carbon fiber barrel and it is about that accurate with a scope.

Thanks for the video. Mine is supposed to be shipping out next week. Scott V. told me they've been hitting consistent .375" 10-shot groups at 50 yards with everyday plinking ammunition. They are experimenting with other barrels, but I stayed with the carbon fiber lightweight barrel since that's what they'd been testing with since September. I got their laminated lightweight silhouette stock on mine. Incredibly balanced and ergonomic. This is going to be my competition smallbore silhouette rifle. I can't wait for it to arrive!

Sadly my 597 decided it likes the $20/box ELEY better than anything else. Shoots half the group size of any other match ammo I've tried, and is amazingly accurate out to 200 yards.

(as suggestion, with my fellow friend we used to shoot .223 casings at 50 yards, with my modest Armscor 14P, 9x chinese scope and CCI std ammo I managed 6 in a row, or try shotgun shells at 100 yards) - pretty sure you can up the game with .22 short casings and playing cards... I am seriously interested in this action type. With a 10/22 shooting suppressed (a lot) the mild back pressure eventually gums up your action and receiver. Have you done any extensive shooting with this (suppressed) and if so does this design cut back on any cleaning regiments? Do you still have to break down the gun and clean the action? About what should I expect in this regard vs a semi auto 10/22?

2.5 to 3 pounds trigger sounds heavy for precision shooting... I have the flyweight trigger on my CZ455 currently set to around 250 grams pull, so 0.55 pounds. Still safe if I hit the stock with a mallet, but amazingly light for precision shooting...

Back in the day, we pronounced it: Lew-pold, not Leopold......spelled Leupold? In biathlon, it’s a Fortner bolt, after the inventor, but you push the rear of the bolt, not the pull lever....some put a bloop tube on the end, not suppressor.....the hooded front sight rides the end of that...longer sight plane on peep sights.

Can you make a 2022 version of the Summit but get and install a Ruger LVT 20" barrel & see how it does.
