Josh, The Magpul Hunter X22 stock has adjustable cheek pieces. The top of the stock comes in 4 different heights and is replaceable. Length of pull is also adjustable. Thanks for another great video!

Really liked the comparison of the 10/22's. Thanks for the great content. I have a 10/22 with a Kidd barrel and Victor Titan stock. The other semi-auto 22 I have is a Thompson Center/Performance Center TCR 22. Thumbhole stock and carbon fiber barrel. Very light. Both shoot very well from the bench. Gotta try a similar comparison with some Eley Semi Auto. Looked like a fun day at the range.

The Titan is a far better stock than the Magpul. Two anchor points. I won our Auto Division yesterday shooting my inexpensive 10/22. Titan stock, 20" Green Mountain blue barrel, Kidd single stage trigger kit, stock bolt and stock Ruger receiver. I have the Riton 6-25x50 X1 scope on all of my .22s now. Sold all of my high dollar scopes. The glass is amazing in this $200 scope. Came in 4th overall out of 36 shooters. Beat a ton of Vudoos, Bergaras, Anschutz, CZs and a Rim-X. Ammo of choice - Eley SABRP

Josh, a lot of guys add the Victor cheek rests to lots of other brands of stocks. If you like all other aspects of the Magpul stock, you may consider just adding the Victor cheek rest to improve comfort and performance. That solution is a lot cheaper than purchasing a whole new stock system to correct just that one problem.

My 10/22 in an Archangel Precision stock has the factory receiver and bolt with Kidd extractor and charging handle/spring kit, has the Shaw 18" non-threaded barrel, and the Timney 1022ce two stage trigger can run 3/4 - 1 moa at 100yd and remove the head of a sewing pin at 25yd consistently with CCI SV. Excluding the scope thats about 900.

My latest build is using a tactical solutions X-Ring receiver and barrel with a Kidd 2stage trigger in a KRG bravo chassis/stock. I quite like the current setup. But I do believe I would greatly benefit from a heavier barrel like a Kidd so I may end up swapping it out here soon. Regardless it’s an excellent shooting little plinking gun

I love my Built set up. I have the Kidd Charging handle and spring Kit.. I am running the Lightest spring. It has helped with cold weather shooting. SK sometimes does not have a lot of power behind it when its below 40 degrees. I can usually tell when it short strokes the bolt as it has a different sound when the round goes off. My budget built is Stock Receiver (Polished), Stock Bolt(Polished and rear bevel on bolt), Kidd Single stage Trigger Kit, Kidd 20" SS Heavy, Orxy Chassis with a Vortex Venom. Running SK standard Plus.

I get much better feeding with both my 10/22 rifles if I draw the bolt back and pause at the rear before letting the bolt fly home to chamber a round vs drawing the bolt back and instantly releasing it to chamber a round.
I've noticed others who shoot 10/22s also have fewer feeding problems when pausing before releasing the bolt.

Josh, i`ve got one of the older Ruger laminate stock w/fat OEM hammer forged barrel, and its a tack driver with Norma Tac22 ammo. The CCI-SV is also real good in it too. Don`t ask me why, but this old 1022 fatty just drives them in clover leaf's all day long. It will out shoot some of my higher end CZ457`s. I`ve also got an older 1022 pencil barreled one that is super accurate too. That one, believe it or not, loves the Aguila 22-Target ammo. Now don`t get me wrong here, i`ve had a few 1022`s that just sucked. But for these 2 particular ones i mentioned, they are definitely keepers. I like that ORYX chassis one you have there, that`s a beauty! As for the Magpul 1022 stocks, yuck. There is nothing i like about the Magpul 1022 stocks, at all.

I am finishing up a B14R build this year and my plans are late fall over the winter is to order a complete Kidd Supergrade barreled action with a single stage Kidd trigger and drop it into a chassis.
I did use the Oryx Chassis for my Bergara build and do like it, will probably Stay with MDT and use the Oryx on the 10/22 build although I would love to see MDT inlet the XRS chassis for the 10/22!
If they did that I would go that route no question.
I think for a person starting from scratch with no 10/22 rifle or parts at all the best value for a top performing 10/22 is the complete Kidd barreled action bar none.

Not getting into my tips and tricks but your pursuit has been mine for 45 years with Ruger 10/22. I can suggest a real dirt cheap build. An 18" SS shaw barrel. Axiom stock bx trigger. Stock receiver and bolt. If you tighten every screw really tight and find what round it likes you will be surprised. Use any decent scope maybe a vortex. But I have a feeling you won't. Sorry about what happened to you I hated that jive

My next build is probably going to be Kidd especially the 3oz/3oz trigger. I've only done Volquartsens in the past and they were phenomenal shooters even with cheap bulk supersonic ammo shooting at 200 yards. It's especially nice when you can easily get sub one inch groups at 100 yards with the cheapest available bulk ammo. I shouldn't have wasted money on the Volquartsen triggers and should have just bought Kidd match grade 3oz/3oz triggers for my Volquartsens. Hope the Kidd match grade barrel shoots cheap bulk supersonic ammo accurately at least like my Volquartsens do at 200 yards.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I'd get 2 inch average groups from one Volquartsen barrel shooting bulk Remington and Winchester old bulk batch lots of supersonics and the other was around 3 inches at 200 yards. I haven't chonied for consistency just plinking at strung up golf balls and pop cans at the 100 and 200 yard range. The Volquartsen heavy fluted stainless steel barrels with their compensators are the most accurate and forgiving aftermarket barrels I've ever shot with.

STILL NOT FAIR.... every single gun has a personality and requires intense practice to find what ammo works best , using a barrel tuner effects it yet again. once you find the best ammo and tune it in to that gun at that yardage you've started preparing for the test but now have to go thru that with the second gun aswell. not until you've done that can you even start think about comparing them against each other! Now you have to find a no wind day and lock the guns in a vise for repeatability. after that you can handle the guns and see just how bad you are at handling! and I'm sure you'll take into effect that the ammo may not repeat even if its from the same batch.
so you see if you just want to pickup a gun and shoot it fine and if you want better performance it takes work and if you want to compete best of luck and many hours to you...

Also, with a target rifle, you are NOT supposed to mount your cheek on the stock. That’s why the stock is made that way. The only thing that should be touching the gun is your thumb behind try e trigger guard and your index finger on the trigger. Once again showing how little you know about target rides and shooting. Also, shooting that fast is a beginners way to shoot. A well seasoned target shooter would take a good 2 minutes to shoot 5 rounds. Especially when you’re trying to see how it groups. Sorry to be so critical, but YT so many follow what you are going and they are then learning the WRONG way to be a good shooter. I can take a stock 10/22 with mini mags and shoot groups like that. My Tenex would all go into one hole.
Ok, just got to the part where you said 100 yards. But why test at 100 yards? A .22lr was never built to do that. I don’t get these guys shooting a gun way farther than it was meant to shoot. I would like to see you shoot this at 50 yards on paper. Then we will see if you can shut me up other than the cold bore thing.

Your obviously referring to benchrest style shooting. These arent turbo or 2500 single shot bench resr rifles. They are in fact prs rifles. By your comment saying I know nothing about target rifles its very obvious you know very little to nothing about the largest rimfire sport in the world, prs22 / nrl22.
We shoot off props out to 400+ yards in that sport.

I hate when everyone uses the term COLD BORE. It has nothing to do with the temperature of the bore. It is because the bore is CLEAN. Which it should never be to test ammo. I never clean my notes j Tim I see accuracy started to fade, which is almost never. Leave that lead and lube in that bore. For a BR gun, or target rimfire of any kind, they shooters much tighter when they are full of that bullets lube. Sometimes taking 50-100 rounds for them to settle in. So many who make these videos that don’t know enough about rimfires to know how to treat them. Yes you clean them but not the bore.

I dont clean my barrels, i clean the chambers. Depending on the lube the lube will harden when its cooled increasing projectile resistance and increasing the mv significantly on that shot. Subsequent shots mv is normal. This has been tested by lots of people and can be repeated and proven with a chronograph.
