    I have a pair of the 15" models and I would 100% agree with this review. Sound quality is pretty decent. I swapped these out from U series Sundowns, they are not as punchy, but still manage to hit the whole bandwidth. I am running the pair off of a banda 15k wired at 1ohm and repeatedly hit low 150db scores at the headrest and kick on the termlab all in the low 30 hz range. Overall a decent subwoofer for the price.

      Old school Soundstream amps were amazing. For me, Soundstream and Rockford Fosgate were pure amplifier porn back in the 90s/00s. Close behind was Phoenix Gold and Orion. Such a shame how almost every top manufacturer was bought out and the brand used to sell cheap, mass-produced crap..

      this is an Atrend 15 box here: amzn.to/3Coi1Rd
      This sub takes a big box so most other prefab 12" boxes will be WAY too small for this sub. I reinforced this 15" box and added a faceplate. It is 4cuft and actually tuned to 33-34hz so its a good spec box. Its not the strongest but at least its all 3/4". All the other 12" prefabs will be too small for this sub as in my opinion it needs a MINUMUM of 3 cu ft and actually to me 4cuft is perfect.

      @Chuck_Sanders ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, it is. While that was a cool drive , a lot of it was basket and appearances. While it performed ok, it had a limited suspension travel, a bit less motor force for sure. These remind me of the old xxx subs they had years ago(not RE), with the wide motors.. also like the old VFL subs from Bob at American Bass. The x5 are pretty good subs, but I think a 3" coil would have shined in this motor, and it would have had more suspension and been more efficient. We did an install last fall with one of these X5, with an MD 1800.1 per coil, gain matched.. in 3.35 cubes, tuned to 30hz and it gets down for sure. Dude isn't easy on it at all. Still holding on lol.
