@popspowell4981 nope but from no fault of the amp. I lifted my back seat and it snapped the terminals in half because the cable was caught on a bolt. That's a lot of power for such a tiny amp. I'm impressed. I'm sure that even Dick Rickulus would approve. May even pick 1 up for myself. Yeah boi! 😁👍🔊.
I recently installed one of the stealth models in my motorcycle. I made the mistake of assuming max power meant half or less in the real world. I blew a $200 set of polk audio speakers in a few days. I now have to take it easy on the new ones, and every time I smell anything close to a hot coil, I shut it down fast. If interested, I have a 2nd one I am not using. I could send it to you for a test video.
I'll count this as a win. The marketing geniuses allowed an actual RMS rating on the spec sheet. Still they plastered 12k on the box and the model is a dubious 6k number. I think it's the right direction though, accurate manuals are where we look for real tech specs. It's almost like Big D himself had a hand in the specs on the back of the box. Great price on this amp, they should sell great with the new design and tested performance. I think they could have improved alot of things on this amp though, no subsonic filter? Or did I miss that. One set of speaker outputs, very budget. It looks like it could have been much slimmer with a different chassis. I'd love to see Soundstream get away from the spider logo, bring back Reference. Great video! Love it!

Awesome 👍, soundstream are not the Beasts they were of the Old School era, like many other legendary names; but I'd still give it a double 👍🏼👍🏼 for the price and performance. Good Job D
This would leave me to hope they're actually going to step up their game a bit. Also thanks for doing the 1khz test. Its good to know. Even though it would seem it should do better @ 40 Hz than at 1 kHz anyway thanks for taking the time bid d. Take care
I can't say much of anything because I've always been a big fan of Soundstream. I have a Soundstream Rubicon Nano RN1.5000D and while I already know that it doesn't push anywhere near 5000 watts, I've always been interested to see what it actually does put out because it SLAMMED my two Sundown SA12-D2s. However, I learned from your videos and bought an Orion HCCA 3k watt cheater amp. I am no professional, but I was smart enough to install a 360A high output alternator that cost me $700 and I also did the Big 3 upgrade, and I ran all 0/1 G wiring. I do have a 3 farad cap, but I haven't researched enough how to use it properly, and I'm only using one of the power and ground inputs, with hardly half gain for four Sundown SA12-D2s, so it SLAMS and it doesn't draw too much power.
So my theory is correct. SS amps with a half spider = half power, whole spider = whole power 😂
I never thought of it that way. I just assumed all SS amps were 1/2 rated.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro this about made me crap myself. Freaking hilarious. I've had SS amps with half spider and full spider
Didn't even hit half, if you go by what is on the box.

At the beginning of the video I was like Ok where's Dickriculus? Then I saw the dyno, cool good job Soundstream. Thanks Big D!
👌😝👍
This is almost twice as powerful as the Pioneer 9601 which is unbelievable actually. Picking up two
Solid review Big D. Not a bad amp either, especially given the price point.
I agree
Dude I'm impressed. Always loved soundstream. Hopefully they stay on this track. The price point is quite reasonable for the power. Might roll.the dice on the 4 channel and this for my new ride. Footprint is a big plus also
I would really like to see the 4 channel tested. With the way this one looks and performs I can see myself running 2 4 channels, 1 for my mids and highs, and the other in 3 channel mode(if it has it) for midbasses in stereo and bridged to a sub
It may not hit all of its ratings but looking as nice as it does I would give it a pass. Very cool looking amp.
That's a lot of power for such a tiny amp. I'm impressed. I'm sure that even Dick Rickulus would approve. May even pick 1 up for myself. Yeah boi! 😁👍🔊.
👌😬👍
Yes, would love to see the 4 channel amp test
I recently installed one of the stealth models in my motorcycle. I made the mistake of assuming max power meant half or less in the real world. I blew a $200 set of polk audio speakers in a few days. I now have to take it easy on the new ones, and every time I smell anything close to a hot coil, I shut it down fast. If interested, I have a 2nd one I am not using. I could send it to you for a test video.
I have a Sound Stream PN1.650D that I bought back in 2015 or so and it says made in Korea, it's also still sitting in the box!
😬👍
That brand use to be very expensive back in the day. And we didn't have this videos to know.
I have had my Taranto for Five years no problems
Nice power in a small package. This amp might be on my to buy list.
Love it!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice wasnt expecting a soundstream amp making its rated power.
I got the 6500 2ch version for just midbass .
Based on this video looks like imma get what I want out of it .
I definitely want to see the 4 channel test. I’m in need of some budget amps that put out some juice, at a good price
I had a chrome soundstream in 1998. That thing pounded three , 12 inch JL Audio's
Just bought this amp, thank you for making this video!
👌😬👍
How do you like it so far? I'm interested in getting one too.
@@MookieFlex bro mine blew right after i installed it and i dont wanna knock the brand so dont take it that way, because i have bought tons of soundstream products, but there wasnt a replacement available, and i ended up going with sundown audio and i just gotta say WOW my new amp rockss
@@salimsopari Haha daaaang that's disappointing! Did amazon just refund you?
@@MookieFlex ya i got a refund i returned it
Hi Big-D, thank you for all these test. You really expose the false advertising. All the way from South Africa and we love what you do. Wish I could get an amp dyno to expose the crazy ratings on amplifier we have in SA (24000 watts) 😳. Any chance you will test the DD DM2500? Love to see the rating on this amp. Thanks once again and God bless
For the money this thing is a beast. Unreal.
Would love to see the four channel. I'm hard core old school when it comes to amps. But I really like the look of these, they might just end up in the ladies car.
If a metal bass knob, with clip light. And 1/0 inputs, and dual 8 gauge speaker inputs and it'd be almost perfect.
Love the "Price is Right" sound! takes me back. 🤣
Awesome 👍, soundstream are not the Beasts they were of the Old School era, like many other legendary names; but I'd still give it a double 👍🏼👍🏼 for the price and performance. Good Job D
I’m happy to see amps rated honestly, still wish they would get rid of the Max stuff though
Thanks agaim B-D you should be getting paid for the advertising these. Picked one up can't beat the dollar for watt price. Thanks agaim👊
I just want to test stuff and show you guys the vids. The rest will come
Not a bad amp for the price! Thanks Big D!
My thoughts too
I might have to try these jokers out!!!! Liked the video as well
Thanks brother 🙏
Not bad love your amp Dyno videos big d wiz keep up the good work bro
This would leave me to hope they're actually going to step up their game a bit. Also thanks for doing the 1khz test. Its good to know. Even though it would seem it should do better @ 40 Hz than at 1 kHz anyway thanks for taking the time bid d. Take care
N def try the 4 channel if you'd be so kind
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thats a cool lil amp and a total powerhouse!
The Soundstream name needed this.
Absolutely
Boom diggity! Nice looking & good performance to boot 😎
Heck yea I’m going to watch this tomorrow
Look forward to buy one so I can run my 2 soundstreams t4 12
