    Would you please do a video on how you painted your design on the glass with the alcohol inks and what you used for the outlines.

    Thanks for the video! Did you use vinyl and color inside it or did you draw the black lines on the glass?

    I have been playing with alcohol inks for awhile now off and on. Like a lot of artist, I learn best by trail and error. I libe in Southeast Texas where we have 2 seasons. Summer and Dead of Summer with humidity usually close to 100%. I clear coated a tile while it was raining. Probably over sprayed because I am not patient. (Learning)😊
    The humidity + clear coat + possible overspraying caused a horrible gray dull fog to set over entire tile. I was devastated because it was a birthday gift for a friend. I got on TH-cam and found that a heat gun (recommended) will remove the fog effect. I used a hairdryer (not recommended by most) but it did the trick in a crunch. Plus the heat added to the paints adhesion to the tiles. I hope this helps if the Fog effect occurs again! Great thing about alcohol inks is that you can always wipe off amd start over on glass, metal and ceramic. As a last resort of course!

    Good video! I've been wanting to try alcohol ink on glass but wasn't sure how to seal it, so thanks for posting! The Kamar is by far the best for alcohol ink, I just wasn't sure it would be good on glass. Someone turned me onto it a long time ago for use on ceramic tiles and now I am never without...nothing compares. Also, you mentioned you didn't know what happened to the Triple Thick spray, like maybe the texture wasn't right...just so you know, before you use it on something else, it will leave that texture regardless of the substrate. It is NOT a good product. To get the appearance of a super thick glaze you have to apply several coats and that just makes the texture worse. The UV spray works well if you apply resin as your finishing product because the resin will revitalize the colors if the UV dulled them, but of course, you can't resin every project so I reserve the UV spray for just my coaster that I resin. Anyhew, THANKS again for posting, you did a nice job on the video - no background distractions and you spoke very clear...something I like in video! Keep up the good work!

    When you used Krylon Kamar varnish, did you hide the bare glass part? Or I can use the spray as it is? I don't want a foggy looking glass, this wanted to be sure.

    Thanks. I have also been looking everywhere for this information. Im the final test, with the kamar, did you mask the rest of the glass? I’m wondering how ir would work if you inked the whole surface of the glass.

    • @BeautyPOPchannel
      @BeautyPOPchannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Charlotte Mandell I did mask the rest of the surface for the glass. But I also did a vase that I completely covered in ai and sprayed all of it and it turned out fine 😊

    Yes! Thank you!! I just used the Krylon Clear Glaze on Alcohol ink on my porcelain mugs, and they are beautiful. There is zero risiduale texture.. I think that on glass , yes, there would be. Since its been a yea since this video, what have you used on ceramic if any ?The only thing is.. Non of these say if they are food safe.
