Thank you so much for the info. I did not know half of that and although I love the look of the inks, I am still debating whether or no to begin to use them. Wonderful episode.
Really happy I watched this video. I just got my hands on a few bottles of alcohol inks in a box of different types of inks, and I've never worked with them before. No clue what to do with them. This has saved me a lot of testing out (And wasting the little ink I have), so thank you! Now i'm excited to try these out
Hi.. Thank you for a great video.. I was curious to know if we can use a self absorbing ceramic coaster as a substrate? And what to use to seal it after the artwork is completed? Thanks!
Very good tutorial. I'm intrigued by this technique and medium. The safety section was quite helpful, and something other videos I've watched did not address. Thank you!
I would like to get started in this but I see different ink sets. Some say they have resin in them and seem to be the less expensive which is what I need as I've spent too much already on acrylic pouring before I considered this. Is it not worth it to get, say, a set that is $12.99 or 16.99 for instance? Is it just cheap stuff I don't like the idea of resin. I don't understand resin. thankyou. I've subscribed!
Great video helped me a lot!! I just wanted to say that around 8:00 you talk about how alcohol inks are actually ethanol but ethanol is literally a type of alcohol??
Hi, I've just found your channel, it's really useful as I've just started with alcohol inks. I've got an Airbrush, but it has 3 different size nozzles. Which one do you please?
Thank you! lots of good info! Would you be able to identify the alcohol ink sealing spray you referred to? It sounded like crystal clear acrylic sealer by Bunnings? I look through your amazon list but can't find it. Thanks!!! Your work is inspiring :)
Hi Sheri, that’s a lot of great info but I’m particularly interested in the sealer choices here in Australia. I’ve tried to find Krylon Kamar Varnish just about everywhere with no luck except from the US + ridiculous freight prices. White Knight is the first ‘other’ option I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & advice with us. May your channel grow & prosper 🖖🏻
@@aligrant3532I live in Italy and have the same problem with Krylon. I recently ordered a Liquitex water-based sealant to seal my work. I haven’t tried it yet but it should be ok. It’s an all-in-one sealant too including uv protection.
Just a comment. Ethanol (or ethyl alcohol) and iso-propyl alcohol (or iso-propanol) are both alcohols, chemically similar and differ by 1 carbon atom. The Ranger inks contain both alcohols.
Hey Sheri! Great tips! Wanted to let you know that your Amazon products link here seems to be broken and takes you to a whoops page. Keep up the great work and tutorials!
THANK YOUU🥰 great video i have a huge problem with my Ranger alcohol inks .. i have undertones who appear after mix with my 95% alcohol on yupo paper (and canvas). i don’t know why my brown tones became green and little bit of pink it’s so bad and ugly. please can you help me
That happens because when you need to make a particular colour you use multiple colours and then you get the undertones coming through so you know how you’ve got your primary colours and then all the other colours after that are made from those primary colours
@@sherivegasartist thank you soo much for teaching and helping us!! Love from France 💕 What brand you recommand (who dont separate) ? Someone said the copics have undertones too 🥺
@@sherivegasartist thanks so much...bunning isnt selling the satin atm so will try to find a substitute. I am on the Sunshine Coast and would love you to come up to do some classes here..ie flower embrodiery etc.. love your work Cheers
Hi Sheri, great video thanks :) in NZ there are no Krylon products left that I can find. Wondering how you might use that Crystal one from bunnings? How many coats etc?
Hey, i love your stuff! Why am i finding it so hard to move colour around (using IPA 91%) is it just a learning thing?! I find my alcohol is drying too wuick?
You are so knowledgeable about this painting style. Thank you !
Aren't you sweet saving us all the trials and tribulations you experienced. Thanks. Much appreciated. You're also a cutie-pie to boot.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Excellent tips. I learned quite a bit from this video. Thank you!

So helpful! I was wondering when it tried to seal my work that the colors would change!! Do you have links or specific names for the sealers you use?

Thanks! Very helpful! I was told that you can make your own blending solution....3 oz. 91 or 99% alcohol + 6 drops of glycerin.

It’s frustrating when we ask questions and get no response.
