Is it allowed to sell something with friends and family if there is escrow on the site you sell. Will PayPal ban you for selling family and friends? Because you dont need PayPal protection because the site already has protection.

Send payments via F&F is when you could lose the money if they don't deliver. So if they're expecting you to deliver something, you should go ahead and do that. Was there a fee taken from the payment? If so, it was most likely G&S payment. If not, it was probably F&F.
This is kind of stupid actually, like if i let my phone somewhere and my little cousin picks it up and sends money to someone stranger as friends and family i can't get a refund even tho its not sent with my consent, im stop using paypal.
Your little cousin would need your PayPal password in order to make the payment. If he has that, then I would suggest you aren't using secure passwords and/or you aren't securing them properly.
It sucks when "friends" turn on you and you can't dispute it. I helped pay for $2000 for a friend's wedding and they paid me back, a month or so later they issued a chargeback through their card and I couldn't win the dispute
I'm GLAD to find this. We were just about to purchase a set of puppies from a saler. First he wanted us to use some money application on our phone. I suggested we use PayPal since we have an account. He said no problem but that we needed to use the Friends and Family option ONLY. We asked for an invoice and suggested using the PayPal INvoice option but he kept insisting on using the Friends and Family option. We explained that neither of us would be protected using that method. I never received a response back. If it sounds wrong, it's wrong.

I'm sorry but there is no way to get a refund in Friends and Family. You must need to use this option when you are dealing with people you know. If you will ask for refund of FNF payment type and they might block your account because of their TOS vialoation.

Do you actually know this "friend"? It sounds to me like you got hit with another popular scam, where they ask you to forward cash through your PayPal account to somebody else. The money they sent you, though, was stolen. When that actual account owner submits their dispute they get their money back, and it gets taken from you since that's where it was deposited. So basically, you were tricked into sending your own money on to somebody else even though you never really received any legitimate money. Very sorry, but not much you can do at this point, other than consider it a learning experience.

Sellers don't have protection against buyers, should make a video on the opposite scams where buyers claim ineffective product or non delivered and you have to cough up all the money back while your item never returns. Plus the police don't do anything except refer you to fraud and you get a fraud report number but without a police report paypal don't protect the seller. Good stuff
Actually, they literally have "Seller Protection" for all sellers. You just have to make sure to follow the proper procedures. Was the transaction covered by Seller Protection? Did you ship to the exact address on the order? Did you ship with trackable service and signature required? If so, in the very least they would have had to return the item in order to get a refund.
Sorry, but no. When you send somebody cash that way it's considered a gift. You could ask your bank if they would reverse the funds (assuming the cash was pulled from there), but even if they do this could end up getting your PayPal account suspended for breaking their user agreement.

Some are indeed simply trying to avoid fees. However, that is against PayPal policy and could jeopardize one or both of the accounts involved. Also, as the buyer, it simply leaves you with zero protection. If they're that worried about fees, tell them you'll pay them 3% more than they're asking to cover it, or maybe 1.5% so you can share it. If they aren't willing to work with you, that's a clear sign they are a scammer.

Any sort of digital good is difficult to win disputes with no matter who you process the payment with. Without a tracking number from a carrier like UPS/FedEx/USPS, you don't have any (acceptable) evidence that the buyer received the item(s), so the card companies will almost always decide in their favor. You really need to do your due diligence on buyers if you're going to sell that sort of thing using an online payment processor. If you want to be absolutely safe with it, ask them to send you a money order, and don't deliver the digital good(s) until that cash clears your bank. Another option would be to physically print the information a buyer would need to load your digital good(s) into their account and mail it to them. That way you'd have a tracking number. Slows things down a bit, but if they really want the item(s) they won't mind, and then you'll have seller protection that way.
Just happened to me with a Xbox Series X preorder. I wish I saw this earlier. My bank put a stop payment on the payment but I don't know what the end result is going to be.
Sorry you didn't see this sooner. You could may be able to get that back for you, but there's a chance your PayPal account could get shut down for breaking their policies on F&F.

What would happen if someone chargebacks a payment to your account, while you have no money on your account. I heard your balanca would go negative, but what happens of your balance is negative?
If your balance goes negative you will be asked to transfer cash back into the account to make it even again. If any payments are received into the account while it's in the negative, those payments would go towards the negative balance. If you don't ever take care of it, it could go to collections and affect your credit.

Intangible goods are difficult online no matter who you're processing the payment with. Typically, if you don't have a tracking number proving delivery of a physical product, it can be tough to win the dispute. If you're doing video work for somebody like that, you can take care of yourself by using contracts and threatening them legally if they do not pay you for services rendered. This is really the standard way that sort of thing has been done for many years. That said, PayPal has just recently updated their user agreement to include details about how they are going to try and help sellers of Intangible goods out more. You'll need some sort of evidence of delivery. For example, if you can provide proof that you own all of the original video work, and show that they have it posted on their TH-cam channel, that would be pretty solid evidence that you delivered on the service.

Correct. If they send you an invoice and you pay it then you would be protected by buyer protection. Just make sure you see the actual invoice in your own PayPal account and you're not just looking at an email that sends you to a payment page. Always log in to your PayPal directly (not from a link) and click to pay the invoice from there. If you don't see the invoice in there then they're scamming you.

He asked me to send $250 through PayPal and send it through friends and family i hesitated and argued a bit with him back and forth but he insisted he need the money because he had bills to pay and thats why he was selling the shoes in the first place. I finally agreed to send it and was greeted with an email that was presumably from a shipping company. They asked for $240 that they said would be refunded on delivery and I sent it on Google pay. There was a sentence in the information on Google play that said something about a refund if something wasn't delivered. I misread it the first time apparently because on further expecting it said you can refund your payment if it isn't delivered to the recipient. And if I dont contact my bank would it be better to act as if my PayPal and Google Pay logins were breached? I know they weren't but I feel like your moral compass goes out the window when dealing with people like this.

If you sent it with PayPal or bank funds, yeah, you're pretty much out of luck. If you sent it with a debit or credit card then you could attempt to submit a chargeback through the card issuing bank. This would be a clear sign to PayPal that you used the F&F feature improperly, though, and could result in having your PayPal account limited or suspended. So the general census is that the buyer should always use Goods and Services. However, what should the seller do when they're selling digital content in a game? The buyer can use Goods and Services, receive the digital content and ask for a refund. The seller would have no proof that the buyer received the digital item, so the seller would lose the payment and their item as I do not think they're covered by seller protection.
What you are describing here is exactly the same no matter who you process the payment with. This not a PayPal specific issue. If you're going to be selling digital goods you'll need to take precautions. Lots of buyer due diligence, for example. Talk to them on the phone or over a Google Meet. Make sure you feel completely good about them before completing the transaction. Maybe even go as far as printing the information they need on paper and mailing that so that you have a tracking number that proves delivery, which would help. I sell digital goods myself, and I win disputes by providing lots of evidence like order logs of IP addresses, matching those up with the download logs I have, and showing that the IP is in the same area as the billing address, which is a match on AVS. These types of things can help you win such disputes, and again, you'll need this with any processor.
There is so much fraud surrounding these things. If I were selling a gaming account of any kind I would probably just request that they send a money order, and do not deliver the account credentials until you have received the money AND it has cleared your bank account.

You can't accidentally use F&F. You have to do this very specifically, and on purpose. If you did that it's considered a gift and you cannot dispute it.
If you sell one with regular "goods and services", and the buyer then disputes it as "item not received" you would have to prove that you did indeed deliver the account. Unfortunately, without a tracking number showing delivery like you would have with a shipped product, it will be very difficult to win such a dispute. As such, if you are going to do this, you want to make sure you do plenty of due diligence on your buyer to make sure they won't try this.
some sellers will only take FF because of past abuses from PayPal ! It's not only the outrageous fees one pays via ebay + paypal , it's the fact that when a dispute is open paypal will take your money and later decide in favour of the buyer regardless of proof provided, this HAS been the case for me 100% of the time! Also, paypal can hold your money for NO REASON, i've had my account frozen at least 3 times and wants all my documentation, which by the way is a severe privacy law infringement in Europe where i live. PayPal is the absolute worst, i wouldn't recommend it even to receive FF payments , these too get PENDING for NO REASON
You can simply block them on all the platform. If they are sending messages on gmail you can follow these steps: 1. On your computer, go to Gmail. 2. Open the message. 3. At the top right, click More . 4. Click Block [sender].
There is no benefit for a buyer to pay with F&F over G&S, so that alone would raise a red flag for me. It's not logical for them to request that. Also, if you are "selling an item" then that is a "good or service", and using F&F in that case would be violating PayPal's policy. The only reason there is to use F&F when selling goods or services is so the seller doesn't have to pay a fee. That's why it's against PayPal's policy (they don't want you fee dodging), and again, there is no benefit for the buyer. Send the person a PayPal invoice and let them buy your product that way.

A service you provided? Were you able to provide a tracking number proving you delivered something to the confirmed address on the order? Did it shows Eligible for Seller Protection? So I got scammed two days ago..... by giving money to the person through friends and family..... it was only after that I found out he was a scammer..... I filed a dispute yesterday explaining that the scammer took my money and refuses to refund me.... and that I want my money back.... PayPal's policy is clear on Friends and Family payments. It's treated as a gift, and it's a deliberate action one must take to submit payments this way. If you made the payment using a credit card as a funding source, you could attempt to file a dispute with your card issuing bank. However, just know that PayPal could suspend your account if you do this because it would become clear that you violated their policy by paying for a "good or service" using the friends and family method. Hopefully it wasn't too much and you can consider it a lesson learned. Please share with your friends and family so they don't get caught in the same trap! That's the best way to fight the fraudsters!
I'm a little confused by the scenario you're mentioning here. Are you selling an account to somebody else? If so, you shouldn't be using F&F to begin with, unless it's truly a friend or family member. When you accept payments with F&F one of the primary benefits is that you aren't paying the fee, but if they pay with a credit card then you do still charge a fee. Also, if it's actual friend or family member I would hope they'd deal with you directly rather than file a chargeback. The fact is you shouldn't find yourself in this situation unless you're on the selling side trying to skip out on the fees.

If the purchase was funded with bank transfer, then you could try that. However, if the bank pulls the money from PayPal to give to you, then you risk getting your PayPal account shut down for breaking their policies.

If the payment is completed and eligible for seller protection then you just need to make sure you ship it to the exact address shown on the payment. If the buyer then files a dispute they would be required to prove return of merchandise before the funds are released back to them as a refund.

I sent friends and family and had to pay 14.97 rippoffs never said how they was sending it. So my son can't get the 500 dollars. And I can't get it back. I thought since he was in my PayPal contacts that he had PayPal. Well he don't. And I had no phone number in there for him only an old email. No, of course not. Did you even watch my video? You should never use F&F unless you're actually sending somebody cash unrelated to the sale of a product or service. If you are going to sell something, I would send them a PayPal Invoice with the line item details specified. If it's a digital good, I would print the information out and actually ship it to them. This way you'll have a tracking number to add back into the PayPal transaction details. Honestly, though, the odds of scams when selling accounts like this is very high. If that person pays you with a stolen PayPal account, the legitimate owner could file an unauthorized dispute and likely win. You really need to do your due diligence before the sale. Have a Skype Chat or Google Meet or something with the person. Feel them out. Make sure they aren't trying to scam you. If you're comfortable with them, send the invoice like I said above, and maybe you can skip the shipping part. That's up to you and how you feel. If they file a dispute, though, they will probably win.

F&F should be used for actual F&F. It's right there in the name. ;) If you're receiving a payment for something you are shipping and you suspect something funky, I would find a different buyer. Why risk it at all? I would never suggest that you ship anything to anybody that didn't pay you in a way that you're covered by Seller Protection, and F&F does not do that.
Sorry to know that you got scammed. Never use this option until you know the person. You can not dispute on the transaction if you will send them money as a friend and family option.

Check the Seller Protection Eligibility inside the transaction details of the payment you received in your PayPal account. If it's Eligible, ship to the exact address shown, and you will be good to go. F&F payments won't be eligible, and they also wouldn't have any shipping info. With any type of payment, yes, they could potentially dispute it with their bank. If the item was shipped and you had provided tracking details showing delivered, then they would at least have to send the item back to you in order to get their refund in that case. Payment holds can occur for a wide variety of reasons. As the seller, when it happens, you just have to follow the steps they outline in the transaction details.

This is because of the very fact that you cannot provide any proof of delivery that is acceptable by card issuing banks. One thing some people do is print the info and physically mail the piece of paper so they can provide tracking to the system. Others simply use Venmo, CashApp, Western Union, etc. and get the cash directly before delivering. Of course, plenty of due diligence on your buyer is always the best solution.

We also have conversation that the sender received the account can I use this conversation as a proof that the sender received the account?

Hi Neguz, I'm sorry to know about it. Actually, you can not ask for refund if you are using FNF because of the PayPal policy. If you will request for refund they will block your account because of violation of FNF terms.
I'm sorry, but that's the scam. When you send cash using F&F it's considered a gift. You could potentially try to get your money back by filling a dispute with your bank. However, if they return it, then your PayPal account will go negative, and they will likely file collections against you. Very sorry to hear this happened. That's not a small amount. :( May I ask what they told you to get you to send the payment that way?

Sorry to hear that. :( If you didn't share your password with anybody you should be fine. This scam is simply about getting you to send money to somebody in a way that you can't get it back easily. That said, there's never anything wrong with changing your password.

Unfortunately, there's really not much that can be done at this point. When you pay with F&F you are gifting cash to the other person. There's no way to dispute that. Hopefully it wasn't much..?? You'll likely need to consider this a learning experience.

Is it allowed to sell something with friends and family if there is escrow on the site you sell. Will PayPal ban you for selling family and friends? Because you dont need PayPal protection because the site already has protection.

@@iijulioh5858 Well if they sent you money, and you see it in your actual PayPal account (not just an email) then you're on the safe side. Send payments via F&F is when you could lose the money if they don't deliver. So if they're expecting you to deliver something, you should go ahead and do that.
Was there a fee taken from the payment? If so, it was most likely G&S payment. If not, it was probably F&F.

Your little cousin would need your PayPal password in order to make the payment. If he has that, then I would suggest you aren't using secure passwords and/or you aren't securing them properly.
It sucks when "friends" turn on you and you can't dispute it. I helped pay for $2000 for a friend's wedding and they paid me back, a month or so later they issued a chargeback through their card and I couldn't win the dispute

I'm GLAD to find this. We were just about to purchase a set of puppies from a saler. First he wanted us to use some money application on our phone. I suggested we use PayPal since we have an account. He said no problem but that we needed to use the Friends and Family option ONLY. We asked for an invoice and suggested using the PayPal INvoice option but he kept insisting on using the Friends and Family option. We explained that neither of us would be protected using that method. I never received a response back. If it sounds wrong, it's wrong.

I'm sorry but there is no way to get a refund in Friends and Family. You must need to use this option when you are dealing with people you know. If you will ask for refund of FNF payment type and they might block your account because of their TOS vialoation.

Do you actually know this "friend"? It sounds to me like you got hit with another popular scam, where they ask you to forward cash through your PayPal account to somebody else. The money they sent you, though, was stolen. When that actual account owner submits their dispute they get their money back, and it gets taken from you since that's where it was deposited.
So basically, you were tricked into sending your own money on to somebody else even though you never really received any legitimate money.

Sellers don't have protection against buyers, should make a video on the opposite scams where buyers claim ineffective product or non delivered and you have to cough up all the money back while your item never returns.
Plus the police don't do anything except refer you to fraud and you get a fraud report number but without a police report paypal don't protect the seller. Good stuff
Actually, they literally have "Seller Protection" for all sellers. You just have to make sure to follow the proper procedures. Was the transaction covered by Seller Protection? Did you ship to the exact address on the order? Did you ship with trackable service and signature required? If so, in the very least they would have had to return the item in order to get a refund.

Sorry, but no. When you send somebody cash that way it's considered a gift. You could ask your bank if they would reverse the funds (assuming the cash was pulled from there), but even if they do this could end up getting your PayPal account suspended for breaking their user agreement.

Some are indeed simply trying to avoid fees. However, that is against PayPal policy and could jeopardize one or both of the accounts involved. Also, as the buyer, it simply leaves you with zero protection. If they're that worried about fees, tell them you'll pay them 3% more than they're asking to cover it, or maybe 1.5% so you can share it. If they aren't willing to work with you, that's a clear sign they are a scammer.

Hi! What if you're the seller who is selling an in-game item. I'm afraid of someone doing a chargeback. What are the steps I can take for that? Would it be the same steps from this video?
Any sort of digital good is difficult to win disputes with no matter who you process the payment with. Without a tracking number from a carrier like UPS/FedEx/USPS, you don't have any (acceptable) evidence that the buyer received the item(s), so the card companies will almost always decide in their favor. You really need to do your due diligence on buyers if you're going to sell that sort of thing using an online payment processor. If you want to be absolutely safe with it, ask them to send you a money order, and don't deliver the digital good(s) until that cash clears your bank. Another option would be to physically print the information a buyer would need to load your digital good(s) into their account and mail it to them. That way you'd have a tracking number. Slows things down a bit, but if they really want the item(s) they won't mind, and then you'll have seller protection that way.

No, seller protection is provided the same way. There may be extra fees for receiving international payments in general, though.

What would happen if someone chargebacks a payment to your account, while you have no money on your account. I heard your balanca would go negative, but what happens of your balance is negative?
If your balance goes negative you will be asked to transfer cash back into the account to make it even again. If any payments are received into the account while it's in the negative, those payments would go towards the negative balance. If you don't ever take care of it, it could go to collections and affect your credit.

Intangible goods are difficult online no matter who you're processing the payment with. Typically, if you don't have a tracking number proving delivery of a physical product, it can be tough to win the dispute.
If you're doing video work for somebody like that, you can take care of yourself by using contracts and threatening them legally if they do not pay you for services rendered. This is really the standard way that sort of thing has been done for many years.
That said, PayPal has just recently updated their user agreement to include details about how they are going to try and help sellers of Intangible goods out more. You'll need some sort of evidence of delivery. For example, if you can provide proof that you own all of the original video work, and show that they have it posted on their TH-cam channel, that would be pretty solid evidence that you delivered on the service.

Correct. If they send you an invoice and you pay it then you would be protected by buyer protection. Just make sure you see the actual invoice in your own PayPal account and you're not just looking at an email that sends you to a payment page. Always log in to your PayPal directly (not from a link) and click to pay the invoice from there. If you don't see the invoice in there then they're scamming you.

He asked me to send $250 through PayPal and send it through friends and family i hesitated and argued a bit with him back and forth but he insisted he need the money because he had bills to pay and thats why he was selling the shoes in the first place. I misread it the first time apparently because on further expecting it said you can refund your payment if it isn't delivered to the recipient. And if I dont contact my bank would it be better to act as if my PayPal and Google Pay logins were breached? If you sent it with PayPal or bank funds, yeah, you're pretty much out of luck. If you sent it with a debit or credit card then you could attempt to submit a chargeback through the card issuing bank. This would be a clear sign to PayPal that you used the F&F feature improperly, though, and could result in having your PayPal account limited or suspended. So the general census is that the buyer should always use Goods and Services.
However, what should the seller do when they're selling digital content in a game? The buyer can use Goods and Services, receive the digital content and ask for a refund. The seller would have no proof that the buyer received the digital item, so the seller would lose the payment and their item as I do not think they're covered by seller protection.
What you are describing here is exactly the same no matter who you process the payment with. This not a PayPal specific issue. If you're going to be selling digital goods you'll need to take precautions. Lots of buyer due diligence, for example. Talk to them on the phone or over a Google Meet. Make sure you feel completely good about them before completing the transaction. Maybe even go as far as printing the information they need on paper and mailing that so that you have a tracking number that proves delivery, which would help. I sell digital goods myself, and I win disputes by providing lots of evidence like order logs of IP addresses, matching those up with the download logs I have, and showing that the IP is in the same area as the billing address, which is a match on AVS. These types of things can help you win such disputes, and again, you'll need this with any processor.

There is so much fraud surrounding these things. If I were selling a gaming account of any kind I would probably just request that they send a money order, and do not deliver the account credentials until you have received the money AND it has cleared your bank account.

Receiving payments with F&F won't solve chargebacks completely, and it's against PayPal's policy. No, just don't do it.

You can't accidentally use F&F. You have to do this very specifically, and on purpose. If you did that it's considered a gift and you cannot dispute it.

If you sell one with regular "goods and services", and the buyer then disputes it as "item not received" you would have to prove that you did indeed deliver the account. Unfortunately, without a tracking number showing delivery like you would have with a shipped product, it will be very difficult to win such a dispute. As such, if you are going to do this, you want to make sure you do plenty of due diligence on your buyer to make sure they won't try this.
Make them send it through friends and family so you know they won’t refund it if they argue that they don’t trust that tell them to fuck off
some sellers will only take FF because of past abuses from PayPal ! It's not only the outrageous fees one pays via ebay + paypal , it's the fact that when a dispute is open paypal will take your money and later decide in favour of the buyer regardless of proof provided, this HAS been the case for me 100% of the time! Also, paypal can hold your money for NO REASON, i've had my account frozen at least 3 times and wants all my documentation, which by the way is a severe privacy law infringement in Europe where i live. PayPal is the absolute worst, i wouldn't recommend it even to receive FF payments , these too get PENDING for NO REASON

You can simply block them on all the platform. If they are sending messages on gmail you can follow these steps:
1. On your computer, go to Gmail.
2. Open the message.
3. At the top right, click More .
4. Click Block [sender].
What if i want to sell an item and the buyer wants friends and family, that's safe, right?
There is no benefit for a buyer to pay with F&F over G&S, so that alone would raise a red flag for me. It's not logical for them to request that. Also, if you are "selling an item" then that is a "good or service", and using F&F in that case would be violating PayPal's policy.
The only reason there is to use F&F when selling goods or services is so the seller doesn't have to pay a fee. That's why it's against PayPal's policy (they don't want you fee dodging), and again, there is no benefit for the buyer.
Send the person a PayPal invoice and let them buy your product that way.

I wish you would have seen this sooner, too! Ugh, I know it's frustrating! Hopefully it wasn't much, because your odds of getting the money back are very slim. PayPal's policy is clear on Friends and Family payments. It's treated as a gift, and it's a deliberate action one must take to submit payments this way.
If you made the payment using a credit card as a funding source, you could attempt to file a dispute with your card issuing bank. However, just know that PayPal could suspend your account if you do this because it would become clear that you violated their policy by paying for a "good or service" using the friends and family method.

I'm a little confused by the scenario you're mentioning here. Are you selling an account to somebody else? If so, you shouldn't be using F&F to begin with, unless it's truly a friend or family member.
When you accept payments with F&F one of the primary benefits is that you aren't paying the fee, but if they pay with a credit card then you do still charge a fee. Also, if it's actual friend or family member I would hope they'd deal with you directly rather than file a chargeback.

Ugh, that's an expensive lesson to learn. Sorry this happened, but now you know, and you can make sure it never happens again. NEVER use F&F unless you're actually sending cash (a gift) to a friend or family member that you actually know and trust.

You can get a refund from it just need to contact your bank
If the purchase was funded with bank transfer, then you could try that. However, if the bank pulls the money from PayPal to give to you, then you risk getting your PayPal account shut down for breaking their policies.

If the payment is completed and eligible for seller protection then you just need to make sure you ship it to the exact address shown on the payment. If the buyer then files a dispute they would be required to prove return of merchandise before the funds are released back to them as a refund.

I think they sent that 500 to my sons old email and they refuse to refund me the 500 dollars. And it cost me 14.97.. never ever use PayPal 3 weeks later and PayPal keeps refusing to help. Aww, sorry you didn't see this before it was too late. It's never fun when this happens, but 45 is a lot better than 450 or 4500 like some others have dealt with. Chalk it up to a learning experience, and you can consider a relatively cheap lesson.

No, of course not. Did you even watch my video? You should never use F&F unless you're actually sending somebody cash unrelated to the sale of a product or service.
If you are going to sell something, I would send them a PayPal Invoice with the line item details specified.
If it's a digital good, I would print the information out and actually ship it to them. This way you'll have a tracking number to add back into the PayPal transaction details.
Honestly, though, the odds of scams when selling accounts like this is very high. If that person pays you with a stolen PayPal account, the legitimate owner could file an unauthorized dispute and likely win.
You really need to do your due diligence before the sale. Have a Skype Chat or Google Meet or something with the person. Feel them out. Make sure they aren't trying to scam you.
If you're comfortable with them, send the invoice like I said above, and maybe you can skip the shipping part. That's up to you and how you feel.
If they file a dispute, though, they will probably win.

F&F should be used for actual F&F. It's right there in the name. ;)
If you're receiving a payment for something you are shipping and you suspect something funky, I would find a different buyer. Why risk it at all?
I would never suggest that you ship anything to anybody that didn't pay you in a way that you're covered by Seller Protection, and F&F does not do that.

Check the Seller Protection Eligibility inside the transaction details of the payment you received in your PayPal account. If it's Eligible, ship to the exact address shown, and you will be good to go.
F&F payments won't be eligible, and they also wouldn't have any shipping info.
With any type of payment, yes, they could potentially dispute it with their bank. If the item was shipped and you had provided tracking details showing delivered, then they would at least have to send the item back to you in order to get their refund in that case.
Payment holds can occur for a wide variety of reasons. As the seller, when it happens, you just have to follow the steps they outline in the transaction details.

@@apin5259 Digital goods are difficult to work with in general no matter who you process the payment with. This is because of the very fact that you cannot provide any proof of delivery that is acceptable by card issuing banks. One thing some people do is print the info and physically mail the piece of paper so they can provide tracking to the system. Others simply use Venmo, CashApp, Western Union, etc. and get the cash directly before delivering. Of course, plenty of due diligence on your buyer is always the best solution.

I currently have this problem, someone bought an account from me and they sent it using F&F and the sender is trying to dispute it with unauthorized transaction. We also have conversation that the sender received the account can I use this conversation as a proof that the sender received the account?

I'm sorry to know about it. Actually, you can not ask for refund if you are using FNF because of the PayPal policy. If you will request for refund they will block your account because of violation of FNF terms.

I'm sorry, but that's the scam. When you send cash using F&F it's considered a gift. You could potentially try to get your money back by filling a dispute with your bank. However, if they return it, then your PayPal account will go negative, and they will likely file collections against you.

Never use Friend & Family option until you know them very well. If they will scam you then, you won't be able to put a dispute on the transaction.

Sorry to hear that. :( If you didn't share your password with anybody you should be fine. This scam is simply about getting you to send money to somebody in a way that you can't get it back easily. That said, there's never anything wrong with changing your password.

Unfortunately, there's really not much that can be done at this point. When you pay with F&F you are gifting cash to the other person. There's no way to dispute that. Hopefully it wasn't much..?? You'll likely need to consider this a learning experience.
