I've been watching your channel for a few years now, and you have helped me save soooo much money! I haven't had a salon manicure since before the pandemic! All the little tips and tricks from your videos have greatly improved the application and longevity of my nail sets! Yes, there was a learning curve, and maybe in the beginning my nails didn't always come out amazing, but I'm so proud to have stuck it out and made it through to the other side! I now can give myself salon quality nails, at home, and for the price of one salon manicure I can do my own nails for a year! It's crazy! Also, I've always been a creative person and I love having nails and nail art as a creative outlet! You've helped me discover and explore that as well. I have looked for YEARS for someone, ANYONE talking about natural nails curving inward. You finally addressed it with the sticks!! Thank you!!
I use a thicker orange wood stick that is sharpened at one end like a pencil and slanted at the other. To prevent the angled edge from getting too soft when using cuticle remove, I let a bit of clear gel top coat soak in to the wood and then cure it in my lamp.
This manicure is so cute! I'm currently rocking my natural nails and am now inspired to do a set. Thanks for the tip about the orange sticks!

I literally just started filing down my orangewood sticks (well, shaved them down using one side of a pair of scissors, but same concept)- they're like new! Love this gorgeous mani!
I’ve had a horrible problem biting my nails , since I was about 3 , and a few months ago I started getting my nails done now it’s been 2 months I took them off and your videos came on my FT page and YOU ARE THE REASON FOR MW TO GET DISTRACTED AND LOVE my nails ! Have you ever noticed that Gelish’s Top It Off has been yellowing/browning?! I’ve used it for years but this newest bottle (from CosmoProf) has ruined several manis with super light colors 😤
you know what, a few people have said this to me before and the first couple bottles did not give me the yellowing, but my most recent bottle did! i pretty much only use the in hype or kiara sky top coats now.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’ve only ever seen rubber base gels, where would we find a rubber top coat and is there any trick to using it that is needed?
