Lisianthus, especially local farm grown, is one of my Top 10 favorite flowers to design with. The local flower farmers we work with, talk about how long they take to push growth but are so worth it in the end! When you placed that one stem in the middle of your arrangement.... Holy Smokes 😲 Stunning! How many blooms were on that one stem? As a floral designer, going on 38 years, it would be a dream to be able to walk out to an Amazing cut flower garden such as yours and gather beautiful, fresh blooms to fill daily orders💛 A girl can only dream~♡~ Thank you, Laura, for being amazing! Just a STUNNER Arangement!!! Love the 🍅!!
I've grown Lisanthus 2 seasons now. So WORTH babysitting them for 8 months prior to blooming! Especially if you make arrangements! 1st year I didn't receive Johnny's seeds until February 1st. I planted seeds that day. I started them last year, what I thought was supper early, mid-December. I may start them right after Thanksgiving this year. I started 5 varieties. Roseanne Brown was the least productive. But beautiful! Every other variety blooming non stop. Love peach! Love Lisanthus!!! Hard to believe I will start them all over again in just a few months.💐

I watched a workshop video on Lisianthus this morning. The gal (Lisa Ziegler) stated we should really be putting our Lisi seed starts in the ground several weeks before our last frost since they're a cool flower crop. That was news to me. I'm in zone 5b (CO) and like you I start my seeds the first of the year. By April I'm so over them and am swearing to NEVER start another tray of Lisis for the rest of my life. I'll finally plant the puny things in the ground at the end of May and turn my back on them. Then August/September arrives and I notice my beautiful garden filled with gorgeous flowers. I immediately run into the house to purchase more seeds to start the crazy cycle all over again. I'm going to try planting them out mid-April next year to see how they do.

Oh, that flower arrangement is so incredible! That is why people want cut flower gardens. To be able to put that together and say “ that was all me!” Is such an accomplishment. I could watch you arrange flowers all day!

Your arrangements are always stunning, love the colors. The garden beds are mind boggling, so much going on. I love seeing the changes you make each year, the flamingos are too funny.

Dear friend, Thank you for the borrowed garden views. If life allows, I would enjoy seeing this arrangement a week later and the process of removing spent blooms to refresh the bouquet. I try to do this with any arrangement I make to prolong the rare occasion of flowers in my apartment. Regardless, I am pleased to know some of my instincts are on par with yours. Thank you for sharing so much beauty with the world.

Those lisianthus are stunning, I can relate to the waiting game as I had a similar experience growing chabaud la France this year and even then they were no where near as productive as those lisianthus. I still have some cosmos and dahlias left but most of the other stuff I grew together with the carnations for arranging were done well before they even started to bloom. That's a really beautiful arrangement though, just perfect. Love it.

The arrangement looks like a 17th century Dutch flower painting! I studied these in grad school; they reflect the beginning of the flower (tulip) based economy in the Netherlands. Beautiful!

This has been my favorite video in a while! I enjoy watching you make
Flower arrangements so much so! You really are a master. Idk if it’s in your blood or what but you give any professional and certainly any other TH-camr a serious run for their money Laura! This turned out gorgeous. The cut flower garden is amazing and I can’t say thank you enough for doing this video! I loved, loved it. Thank you. 🙏🏼😊♥️

I am pretty sure you all have had more rain there in the high desert then we have had here in the southeast! It always fascinates me to see the toll it takes on my garden which is much smaller. Mine started out so beautifully but even after watering once or twice a day it started looking terrible without Rain. It seems even though we have very different climates the weather effects are the same. Very informative video! One thing I have learned for sure is I am planting status next year! We all got something out of your status experience! Between those phenomenal door wreaths and their resilience and beauty, they are definitely worth sowing. Like you said it's all a learning experience and this video is excellent for that purpose!( and it's always fun to watch the progress of course)... Well, I am still fighting back the attacks from my comment yesterday. It seems many people didn't read it all or simply don't like you to say anything that might be perceived anything other than a compliment. I am 61 years old and at this age folks tend to say what they feel. One thing I'm sure we agree on is we should all be able to speak our truth. Not into being rude! That said, I'm going to dismiss any ongoing remarks and continue to convey my opinions if I feel it's important to me and or others, and also may help Garden answer. Much love and thanks!

I can relate to everything you wrote. Of course you have the right to say whatever you want. My parents lived through the depression, and I remain with their frugal mindset they engrained in me, which contrasts with GA's approach, but, let's face it: GA is magnificent! I admire & love this glorious channel. I can also relate to trying to establish relationship(s) by expressing one's self online. Gratification this way is transitory, a substitute for the pain & risk - but ultimate greater fulfillment - of relating to others in the real world.

@@wandabrown508 oh I think they're wonderful! I look forward to watching it almost everyday however I've already said what I need to say and I'm not going to go into that. Today's video was fantastic! When I first started watching I got more joy from it because I felt like I was learning so much and implementing it as well. Sometimes, as I've said, I can't relate. Maybe I don't think the same way or maybe it's my age I don't know. I just think it's important for Laura and Aaron to know what their viewers think. I was ready for the attacks but I wasn't ready for how many people agreed with me! Anyway it's all good thank you for responding to my comment! We all need to keep an open dialogue about everything. I don't believe in shutting one another up. Oh, I'm not referring to you. Just some other subscribers who have been constantly telling me what a horrible person I am for speaking my mind.

you are just so talented at making flower arrangements ...it looks so natural , like all those flowers were meant to be in that container , just like that.....and they look perfect on the dinning table....if you sit down to eat , you can place the arrangement on the counter till your all done , then put them back on the table.....just gorgeous

How about putting some of those Lisianthus (staked) up in beds near the house or the Hartley. They are so beautiful and full of flowers, using them in other parts of your garden would look beautiful. That arrangement is my favorite of all the ones you have done so far. So beautiful!

Every little step you take inspires me in my garden and as your planting expands so does mine... I am looking forward to the many videos you will make in the Hartley as winter arrives and your projects move indoors.
