Lovely episode and thank you for sharing. In Svolvær you were at first docked next to the Garcia name sister which we sailed in 2022 around the Lofoten. It‘s a blessing to experience this beautiful nature by sails. Happy wintering at Finnsnes.

Ha, it‘s a small world! Yes, indeed, we crossed wakes with her several times last year and this year. One day in October we had no less than 3 Polaris‘ in the harbour in Finnsnes, one of them being the Garcia…
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hello to Polaris Helvetica's crew. We went to the Lofoten this summer and enjoy the midnight sun. We are happy to hear about the polar night thank of you! We've wintered our boat in Hitra but there is still a (short) day in this part of Norway. Apart of the TV fire, how do you manage heating on board (diesel boiler)? Enjoy!

      Hi Pierre
Thanks for watching. So far, so good. Our hydronic heater which I fitted last winter works beautifully. We hit a toasty 25°C in the salon before we get boiling and switch it off…
OK, we only got down to about -7°C so far and the water is still reasonably warm, but so far it is very cozy.
Have a good winter on Hitra!
