- A WWII vintage FG-1D Corsair (commonly known as F4U) flying out of the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The FG-1D was manufactured by Goodyear rather than Chance Vought who designed the aircraft. The longer version of the video has more of the start-up procedure & taxi time.

LOVE this Corsair , thanks to all who worked on her to produce such an amazing machine !
Beautiful sound l had a privilege to restore a static FG-1 1945 Corsair for a museum .Where the hanger for the Corsair is in Vought Sikorsky manufacturing plant of where it was designed , tested, produced. The manufacturer plant is still standing.
I never get tired of watching this video. Nice job and thanks for posting.
Only one word l can muster. MAGNIFICENT!!!!!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! Great video of a great airplane!!! I love Corsairs and the sound of that sweet engine!!!!!
A great video of a great old airplane!
I was there 2 yrs ago for the Wings over VA Beach. Awesome plane.
Awesome video!!!!
My new favorite!!
Great video!
Awesome!
Beautiful. I didn't know the rudder moved in the opposite direction of the tailwheel on these planes.
The old classic warbirds seem to be living, breathing machines.
Großartiges Kampfflugzeug !
A few of these monsters had the Pratt & Whitney R- 4360 radial, 3000 hp gobs of torque.
Ohhh my. ... listen to the radial symphony. the ol girl was showin she stll got it. and cruises with style.
thought the wings always folded/unfolded one at a time, obstensively due to pressure variations in the hydraulics; nice gentle first flight, but didn't these things whistle like P-51s?
GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY HISTORY!!!
Never seen anyone climb into cockpit from the right side.
Красивый самолёт.
The aircraft itself just needed to take a leak that is what that is
Nice video. Would be better without all the pop ups.
Gotta wind up the rubber band.
Come on Old Betsy lol
Looks like a bit much oil in the mix - great plane though!!
runs rich until you reach cruise I do believe
