That’s what I mentioned in the comments on the last video. These houses could have been fixed up to house homeless veterans....two to three vets per house (depending on how many bedrooms each house has.) Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
I used to live with my family across the street in an apartment in one of the personnel buildings (P1) there at STS. The area you filmed was known as Personnel Village . I had a lot of friends there that I grew up with. Good memories. Sad to see the place now.
Urban Archaeologist: YOU might want to take some still shots of the names on the headstones for geneology, historical reasons. IN FACT: in one of the videos with the headstones, we cant see any writing but on about 5-10 of them. Is there writing on the back sides? Or are there in fact many left Nameless
I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place. I live about a half an hour away from Southbury. It’s too bad. The state definitely had to do something because of the cemetery being there. I’ll have to see if they did anything to it over the past two years.

Why was the neighborhood abandoned in the first place
It was actually purpose- built for the employees of the nearby Southbury Training School, but was in a serious state of deterioration..

Do not go into that place poking your nose late at night ; curiosity killed the cat .
Going to be a great place to look for 2000 year artifacts.
